It's unbelievable how people around here wear whatever they want to the pool, like jeans and t-shirts. I think it's extremely inappropriate.

Old big hotel with nice rooms but staff low reactive, difficult to communicate with them through email and apps

The front desk lady I met during my stay at 17:45 on 16 Apr’26 had terrible attitude, unpleasant experience (didn’t check the name) with that attitude, shouldn’t be working in tourism or as a front desk.

Probably the worst experience I’ve had. Do NOT go to their spa. I ordered a facial and a foot scrub, but instead, for whatever reason, the lady doing my service placed a scorching hot rock on my bare back. I was screaming for her to take it off, feeling it burning through to my flesh, and after waiting too long, more than a few seconds, she took it off. There was a burn through my skin, and she kept looking at it and tsking. She apologized, but it was completely unacceptable. Over 2 weeks later now, as I am home from my trip, my burn is still raw and barely healing. However I had to endure this burn the rest of my trip to Vietnam. Save your $ and DO NOT book this hotel or attend the spa. I would put zero stars if that was allowed on Google.

We were pretty much the only Americans/Europeans in Buon Ma Thout. So, pretty much no one spoke English other than our guide. Which was fine - the staff more than made up for that with their smiles and attempts to communicate. The rooms are basic, large and very clean. We decided to try a drink at the bar. I ordered a vodka and tonic which ended up being a vodka and soda with salt. Not a complaint just if you want a drink stick to beer. Our guide took us to a local restaurant and based on the breakfast I would not recommend having dinner there. Buffet breakfast was mainly Vietnamese food, very little fruit or other options.
