Phú Quốc 30-day visa-free entry confirmed for any nationality
Direct international arrivals to PQC airport are issued 30 days visa-free regardless of nationality, provided the visitor remains on the island. See /visa/phu-quoc-visa-free.
We removed the "DTV / 5-year Digital Talent Visa" claim
An earlier version of this site described Vietnam as having a Thailand-style 5-year "Digital Talent Visa (DTV)" with a $2,500/month income threshold. That was wrong — it conflated Thailand's DTV (which is real) with Vietnam's situation. Vietnam has no confirmed general-purpose digital nomad or remote-worker visa. See /visa/vietnam-digital-nomad-visa-reality-check and /visa/vietnam-retirement-visa-reality-check.
HCMC Metro Line 1 in full operation
Bến Thành to Suối Tiên line is running; useful for the District 1 ↔ Thủ Đức commute. See /regions/ho-chi-minh-city.
Blood-alcohol-zero rule continues — enforcement strict
Vietnam maintains zero-BAC for drivers and riders. Random breath tests are common, including motorbike riders. Fines start at VND 6 million for motorbikes. Plan rides home.
