Good welcoming almost elegant ambience. Certainly elegant and relaxing welcoming quiet ambience by any VN standards. Comfortable stylish chairs. Ditto tables. Attractive wall paintings. Spacious - not cramped. A small elegant welcoming space. Welcoming friendly efficient service. Addendum: Casa Blu has a 'set menu' format, ie a number of set dishes across the three normal range - entrée/main/dessert (the total menu prices ranging from about d750k - d1,220k); but ... you can also order individual dishes to suit both taste and appetite (as we did on this occasion). PS It wasn't clear to me, even after asking, if the dishes listed for each 'tier' where all included (as small 'tasters'), or if you selected on from the dishes listed. Not being at all proficient at tieng Viet did not help of course. IF they were in fact tastes of each dish listed, that would be well worth it; or, even in the other (expected) format where yo select a single dish, that too can be a very happy tasting experience - just pick the Set Menu that best suits your taste and budget. BTW, I would probably add a complementary 'amuse-bouche'. Food was presented very attractively and also, importantly, TASTED very very well. Specifically. - The pate was excellent (and I used to make and sell pate to restaurants back in the day so long ago, hey?). The onion jam not as good, and needs to be somewhat spicier/tastier, and more 'portion-sized' (to add more easily). Actually on that point, if this was 'onion jam' as i think it was named, it looks quite unattractive in its present form. When i make it, I use a recipe that includes Grenadine, which adds both colour and taste. - Seared prawns w peri peri sauce. The prawns were wonderful. The sauce likewise, although i might have liked it a little spicier (surprising for VN). The salmon tartare was the letdown of the night, cf to other dishes. We could have done w/o it actually. Just too ....bland. The wafers were the star. ;-) A salmon gravlax would have been a much better menu option imo) - would plate and taste better. Hmmm. Likewise the bavarois. Pleasant, but not as good (think - smooth, unctuous ie rich) as it should be be. The mojito .. Hien really liked it, but is my opinion, it definitely lacked some 'punch', it was, to me, too weak (prob explains the extremely reasonably cost) So again imo too bland - if i am having a cocktail, i want to KNOW it. Maybe you could have in a STD and a Super version? ;-) The staff all very pleasant and professional. (And nice to chat to young friendly owner too.) Total cost for - 4 entrees+cocktail+byo = less than d900,000 NOTE: We BYO'd wine for the small (expected) surcharge without the slightest problem. The 'problem' then was selecting which was the most suitable wine glass/es from several choices :-). And I did not take time to look at THEIR wine offerings. ============================== Footnote. The menu definitely needs some work. A great start! But i think that is a difficult thing in a regional VN town, where this sort of menu and dishes are VERY foreign to VN, and VN are just SO inflexible, SO unadventurous, and SO stuck on tired boring not tasty traditional dishes. Most Vietnamese wouldn't know a spice if it bit them! And then they would refuse to eat it. That does NOT mean more complicated. Think - simple grilled sardines. I saw no scallops. Simple seared salmon with a orange/mango & ginger sauce (or similar), grilled beans. corn kernels (or puree). Possibly swap the bavarois for a panna cotta or creme brulee. Pistachio crusted lamb rack. (although i am told that oddly VN don't like smell of lamb? Expensive i agree;, but plates up so well, and great taste. Prawn risotto BBQ/grilled Sirloin steak (then sliced) Calamari Thai chicken/prawn curry Truffle (oil) fries. Herbed pork chops cream sauce. ANYTHING slow cooked ~ 6-8 hours - brisket, beef cheeks, ox tail.

We visited this small cosy restaurant tucked away in a quiet corner of Can Tho that turned out to be an absolute gem. The staff were helpful, friendly and spoke English, prices were more than decent (for non-locals, that is) and the quality of the food was amazing. After loading up on the local cuisine for days, this place offered a pleasant alternative. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely beautiful and classy restaurant – five stars without question! The owner-chef offers a wonderful fusion of Western and local cuisines in an intimate, appointment-only setting. They source premium fresh meats from Australia and exquisite cheeses from New Zealand. Had an amazing burger here tonight – it was a real treat. Highly recommend! Enjoy ;) — J"

Booking Blu Casa Eatery for my wife's birthday was truly the best gift. If you are looking for a sophisticated and dignified place to enjoy Western cuisine in Can Tho, this is absolutely the place to go. As a foreigner who doesn't speak Vietnamese well, I was still able to communicate easily with the staff regarding our reservation. The staff were incredibly dedicated and helpful, especially with setting up the cake and gifts. Their professional service was outstanding; they meticulously confirmed our preferences for the steak's doneness and slicing, ensuring everything was tailored to our taste. We didn't have to doubt the quality of the food even before it arrived. We chose the set menu for couples, and each dish was harmoniously balanced. I particularly enjoyed the Sangria, which was made with various fruits and tasted exceptionally fresh, pairing wonderfully with our meal. I was very satisfied with the carrot butter, the salmon salad, and the penne pasta. My wife loved the steak, and the Tiramisu dessert perfectly concluded her birthday celebration. The atmosphere was enhanced by the beautiful interior design, allowing us to dine comfortably. We could feel the attention to detail in every aspect, and the staff were extremely friendly. Although my wife's birthday is only once a year, we definitely plan to visit Blu Casa Eatery much more often.

My teenagers and I really enjoyed all three courses at this boutique restaurant. It is very cozy inside, and worth the few minutes ride from the center of town. The salads are fresh, the smoked salmon appetizer was served with a flourish from its smoky enclosure (and was delicious to all of us). We tried a variety of the main dishes including the Australian beef burger and pasta dishes, and the pastas were especially rich and satisfying. The mocktails are kind of magical too, by the way. Try the lychee one if it’s available! All the desserts were very good, with the banana bread with ice cream and the custard with fruit sauce being the standouts. All told, a great dining experience I hope we get to experience again someday. Recommended!

Foods were amazing! The salad is fresh and well faired with miso sauce and cheese, I love miso sauce, great blend of umami, sweet and sour. Steak is tender, juicy. Pasta is absolutely perfect, and well seasoned. We also had the Pan-seared duck breast which is medium done, the meat is tender, and the sauce is 👌🏻. I would recommend this restaurant, the pricing is so reasonable.

We ordered Meat Lover, and the portion was very generous. The pre-meal bread was amazing and surprisingly delicious. The refreshing salad was a great appetizer. The beef was a bit disappointing but still tasty. The dessert was somewhat ordinary, but overall, we were very satisfied. Definitely recommended!

This was a rare Western-style restaurant in Can Tho. I've been to several places, but I found the meat both flavorful and perfectly cooked. The desserts were delicious too, and I felt the quality of the other dishes was high. I would have loved to see cocktails on the menu, but the variety of drinks was ample and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I recommend it for couples. We ordered à la carte, and the prices weren't high, making it a restaurant with excellent value for money. It's a place I'd definitely want to visit again. If you ever come to Can Tho, please stop by.
