  Had a great time with Lam!! His English was great and gave us a realistic experience. Tour was geared towards learning about the real state of the market—very meta and non touristy! Highly recommend private tours to be able to ask questions about anything in Vietnam. Very knowledgeable!

  We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Can Tho River Tours, where the extensive knowledge and love for the area really shine through and make the tour truly special. We were a family of 6, and it was a great pleasure to go with Liam as our guide. He was incredibly welcoming, professional, and created a safe and warm atmosphere throughout, so we all had a memorable experience. It is a tour we can only give our highest recommendations.

  Lam, our guide was amazing he had great English. His information on the river culture was very interesting. He was also very helpfull all day with any questions from us. Our family loved being with him for the tour. Our boat driver was also a beautiful lady amazing skills on the water navigating through the waterways. Lam made our trip to Can Tho a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. I highly recommend using this company they are very professional. Lam even organised our transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.

  Had a fantastic experience on this floating market tour! Our guide, Duy, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip both enjoyable and informative. The noodle soup for breakfast was very delicious. The fresh fruits we tried during the tour were also incredibly sweet and tasty. Everything was well organised, and the pace of the tour was perfect.

  We had a fantastic afternoon with Duy our guide cycling through the narrow streets along the river. We passed rice paddy fields, lotus farming, numerous tropical fruit trees and local homes. It was a great way to gain an insight into the local community. We stopped at various spots for fresh fruit or refreshments on the way ending the trip with locally grown and made cacao drink. Throughout the time Duy gave us information about the local farming and culture. A lovely day out.

  Best local guide in town? Lâm! We spent two days with him, not only for the floating markets tour but also for the forest tour and it was very nice. Lâm speaks great English and has a huge knowledge about Vietnams culture and history, a real local experience. Good sense of humour, knows an answer to EVERY question we asked. Highly recommend to book this tour, he will give 100% to make the best experience for you and bring you off the beaten path where less tourists come around. Cảm ơn for making our time in the Mekong Delta so special!

  Would definitely recommend the floating market tour. Our guide was Hannah was very knowledgeable about the floating market’s history and just general questions we had about the area. She’s also a massive foodie and suggested so many different foods we should eat while in Can Tho! She even met up with us for dinner in town. Even though the floating market is pretty much all tourists, it’s still very cool to see and experience. We also went to a land market, where Hannah picked out the sweetest mangoes for us to try. She cut them up for us on the boat and we are it while on our ride back.

  An Authentic Mekong Day from Can Tho to Ben Tre with Real Local Life. The tour deserves 10/10. We just got back home from Vietnam, and we are still thinking about Ben Tre 1-Day Tour that we did with Duy on 04 June 2026. If you want a touristy boat ride experience only. This is not for you. If you want to see how locals actually live and work. Do not hesitate to book this! The day started super easy with hotel pickup right from our stay in Can Tho. The pickup was on time, and the 2-hour drive to Ben Tre was smooth, with immersive views of rice fields, fruit gardens, and rivers along the way. Upon reaching Ben Tre, we boarded a large boat to start our river exploration. Cruising on the Mekong River right from the start was enjoyable. We could see fishing boats, cargo boats, and riverside life while heading to our first stop. The first stop was a traditional brick kiln, where we saw the labor-intensive process of brick-making. We had no idea bricks were still made manually. Duy showed us how they mix river clay, mold, dry, and fire it in huge kilns. The heat was intense, but watching the process from start to finish was eye-opening. It really showed us how much effort goes into something we take for granted. Then, we took a short walk to a coconut processing workshop. Ben Tre is literally called “Coconut Kingdom," and you feel it here. We saw the fullest chain: workers husking coconut shells, transferring them to the coconut factory, pressing oil, and turning shells into compost, fibers, burning materials or handicrafts and bowls. Nothing is wasteful! We sampled some coconut candies with various flavors. Yeah, it is soft, chewy, and way better than the packaged stuff. Duy also explained attentively how coconuts support most families in Ben Tre, so we understood the value beyond just tasting. We stopped at a local mat-weaving house where the locals were weaving colorful sedge mats manuaaly. They walked us through each step and even let us try weaving a few rows. It looks so simple but takes years of practice. You could feel the pride they have in the craft. We were served lunch at a local restaurant. We ate our fill. It was super fresh, delectable, and homey. We had crispy elephant ear fish wrapped in rice paper with herbs, boiled shrimp, rice, fried noodles, soft drinks, and a huge platter of tropical fruits. Eating with the countryside breeze was amazing. After a stomach-filling lunch, we hopped on a Tuk-Tuk for a village ride. It was bumpy, fun, and eye-opening, passing fruit gardens, little houses, and kids waving at us. It gave us a real sense of the countryside pace. Following this, the boat ride through water coconut canals was my favorite part. We switched to a small rowing boat, and a local woman paddled us through narrow, green, and shady canals of coconut palms. It was quiet and intimate. Super peaceful and very "Mekong." After that, we got back to the car. We were then dropped off in HCMC at 5:00 PM right on schedule. I have to give a special shoutout to our guide, Duy. He made the whole day. Duy is not just knowledgeable. He is passionate, funny, and genuinely cares about his hometown, though. He spoke brilliantly phenomenal English but also translated stories directly from the locals so we did not miss any details. At every stop, he explained how and why behind things, not just what. He connected with brick workers, coconut candy, and mat-weaving makers like his close-knit family members. He made sure we felt cared for like a king and a queen and took photos for us. Thanks to Duy, this tour felt personal and authentic, not like a checklist. If you book this tour, you are lucky if you get him. Highly recommend this full and real experience of Mekong Delta life for anyone who wants more than just a boat ride or a standard sightseeing trip.
