Today my boyfriend and I took the cooking class tour with Phong and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! Firstly, Phong changed the menu to accommodate me as a person with Vietnamese heritage. Instead of us cooking the usual Vietnamese crepe (bánh xèo), he picked a Vietnamese shrimp pancake from the Mekong Delta Region that I had never had before (bánh tép). Upon meeting at the market, once he found out we had not eaten breakfast, he took us to eat in the market so we wouldn’t be starving while cooking. While cooking, he was and attentive in his guidance while also conversing about many interesting topics regarding Mekong Delta Culture and his general interests and upbringing in Can Tho. The cherry on top was while I was taking photos, he went out of his way to get me a Vietnamese cone farmer’s hat (nón lá) to complete my look :) overall, phong made this cooking tour experience very enjoyable and I would highly recommend anyone to take this tour!

Easily one of the hidden gems near Can Tho! We booked the Lung Ngoc Hoang nature reserve tour through FME to get away from the crowds, and it did not disappoint. Gliding through the quiet wetlands on a small boat filled with water lilies and wildlife felt like entering another world. Huge shoutout to our guide, his birdwatching knowledge was incredible, and he helped us spot so many different species. Such a calm, beautiful half-day escape. If you want an authentic nature experience in the Mekong Delta, this is it!

You do have to wake up early for this tour, with a 5:30am departure, but it’s absolutely worth it. Our tour guide Paul picked us up from the hotel and provide us a unique experience. He also provided us with a lot of recommendation of places to eat and visit in Can Tho. He and May(our boat rider) provided us a unique experience. Visiting the floating market at sunrise and stopping by a rice paper factory and cacao farm along the Mekong Delta and small cannals is truly unique and something you won’t forget. Our tour guide, Paul, was excellent — very good English and thorough in his explanations throughout the trip. His and May lively interactions with the boat vendors added so much character and authenticity to the experience. Highly recommended morning tour for anyone visiting Can Tho

If you’re going to Can Tho, you have to book this tour. The organization was top-notch, super fast confirmation on WhatsApp and they took care of the pickup seamlessly. We were out on the water by 6:00 AM on a traditional wooden boat. What made it really special was our guide; they explained how the market works, including the clever trick of hanging fruits on tall poles so buyers know what’s for sale from afar. Having breakfast (noodles and coffee) served straight from a floating kitchen was unforgettable. Cruising through the quiet, narrow canals with stilt houses afterward was the perfect ending. 10/10!

okay, so I almost skipped this because I'd already done a Mekong day trip from Saigon and figured it'd be more of the same. SO glad I didn't. The Cai Rang half-day with FME was a completely different vibe. Booked the small group option and there were literally only 4 of us on the boat. That alone changed the whole experience. No megaphone guide, no 30-person cattle herd squeezed onto a tour boat. Our guide actually had time to chat, point stuff out, answer our dumb questions about what every fruit was called. The 3:00am pickup from Sai Gon sounds brutal but trust me, you want to be at Cai Rang while it's still buzzing. By like 8am the wholesalers start packing up, so getting there at sunrise is the move. Watched the sun come up over the water with a coffee in hand from one of the boat vendors, get the cà phê sữa đá, the lady who paddles around making them is iconic. After the main market we slipped into these tiny side canals which was lowkey my favorite part. Quiet, jungle on both sides, kids waving from porches, the whole thing. Stopped at a rice noodle workshop where the guy let us try flipping the noodles ourselves (mine looked like a sad pancake, his looked like art). The guide kept the pace chill the whole time, never felt rushed or like we were on a clock

Did the My Tho and Ben Tre day tour from Saigon and it was a brilliant introduction to the Mekong Delta. We cruised the river to the islands, transferred to a small sampan that took us down a palm fringed canal, visited a coconut candy workshop, tasted honey tea and tropical fruit while a group played traditional southern music, and rode a horse cart through the village. A lot packed into one day but it never felt rushed. Great value and a friendly, professional guide from FME.

I had a lovely tour to the lung ngoc hoang nature reserve with Phoenix. He was a great guide and made the tour very enjoyable. I expected the stay at the park to be longer (we stayed around 1 hour with 1 hour drive) but I still definitely recommend enjoying this beautiful piece of nature. You take a boat ride on the river and then stroll around the rice fields and nature reserve.

This full day tour packs in the best of Can Tho. We started at sunrise on Cai Rang floating market, then visited the beautiful old Binh Thuy ancient house which is over a hundred years old and full of antiques, and finished on Con Son islet with a home-cooked lunch. The pace was relaxed despite covering a lot, and our guide tied everything together with stories about Mekong life, French colonial history and the families on the river. Excellent value and a fantastic single day if your time in Can Tho is limited
