We had a fantastic time aboard the Victoria Mekong. The entire vessel was impeccably clean, staff were attentive and provided us with everything we needed without even needing to be asked. Food was great overall and the shore excursions to remote villages along the Mekong river were definitely a highlight. This is a great cruise for couples or families and also an excellent way to combine both Vietnam and Cambodia in one holiday, as it's a comfortable and fun way to get from one place to the next. Highly recommended!

We have just returned from 7 nights on the Victoria Mekong with Holiday Max and we couldn't fault our cruise from Vietnam to Cambodia. The state rooms are huge and very comfortable and it was great having a balcony. The food and service are excellent. There was a choice of meals at lunch-time with a buffet in the evening which I thought worked well because if you weren't used to eating that much food in one day, then you could just limit yourself at the buffet. The included wine and beer with lunch and dinner were great. The service was unbelievable, Nam and his staff in the dining room were wonderful! We also appreciated having a small pool and loungers to relax. The cocktails and drinks were very reasonable outwith lunch and dinner, and the bar upstairs served flat whites! There is a small gym on board, as well as a library. Massages are available but were quite popular. Note that my holiday was part of a tour group so I can only provide feedback on my experience which was 5*!

The sampan was great, spacious, and comfortable. We had a total of 4 sraff... guide, captain, and 2 servers. The areas we passed were a mix, sometimes more populated and the river dirty, other areas green and serene. Overall, a fabulous, if very expensive, experience.

Song Xanh Sampan Mekong Cruise Sampan (2 bedroom & batheoom, 1 living area). We started our 2 night boat cruise at Victoria's Le Longanier Restaurant for lunch and a fabulous bike ride before boarding our boat. The trip far exceeded our expectations. The boat was amazing but the best part was the service from our guide Xuyen and the crew. We had delicious meals and were never hungry. We enjoyed the day trips and also appreciated the time to relax and take in the scenery. Our trip ended at Victoria's Chau Doc Hotel before speedboat connection to Cambodia

What an amazing river cruise experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable room. Food was great. Had the best time ever. Wish it was a longer trip.

I'd give 10 stars if it were an option. Number one STAFF for sure, food was amazing and lots of options and chefs to cook just about anything you want. LOVED our room, we were on the middle deck, and it was perfect. Got the best massages and pedicure while on board. The cruise director(s) were unbelievable and not sure they slept. 100% pampered and catered to for a week. We went end of Jan early Feb. Each day's excursion was so Fun and Informative, I learned so much. The people we met were the salt of the earth in my opinion. Worth every minute and every penny. Can't say enough good things about it, but by now, everyone has figured that out. Cheers and happy boating.

Wow. This is magnificent, floating in the Mekong with Victoria cruise. Charming and professional crew, commodious cabins with balconies. Lovely meals and on shore tours. Absolutely delightful

The ship is beautiful, with staterooms as luxurious as those on the cruiseships that sail the ocean. The staff is wonderful and very attentive. Everything is impeccably clean. All the tours and entertainment, as well as local beers all day and housewines at lunch and dinner are included. Especially the performance of the liondance on the second night was outstanding. We also enjoyed the excursions into the Mekong delta: a visit to a small scale silk weaving factory, a soy bean processing, a floating market. Above all, the boat trips and short walks on these excursions were worthwhile, giving a vivid impression of Mekong river delta life. There are a few downsides too: the cruise is basically a 3 day cruise, not 4 days. We boarded in Phnom Penh at 4pm on the first day and stayed in PP port that night only to set sail early the next morning and we disembarked at 8.30 am on the 4th day in Can Tho, continuing on a 4 hour ride by car to Saigon, with a lovely lunch halfway in a beautiful restaurant surrounded by lush vegetation. The stateroom windows were a bit blurry, it looked like they had been affected by glass corrosion or something similar. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide range of choices, including local breakfast dishes, but excluding lattes and cappucinos that were only available at extra charge. Dinner is a set 4 course western menu - except for a buffet dinner on the the last night - with no choices offered. I'd preferred a buffet or a at least a choice of a local dishes, khmer or vietnamese, great options available. There is a small gym on board with 2 threadmills and a cycling machine. It would have been easy and much better to trade in one of the threadmills for a steps machine and squeeze in some weights. Our guide advised us on the first day to donate a tip of $10 per person per day for the crew onboard and the people involved in entertainment and excursions (tenders, performers, cyclos etcetera) and himself as well. Being Dutch and not used to tipping we felt a bit awkward tipping before and giving it all to him instead of at the end of the cruise, especially since we found a tipping box upon check out. With all this in mind we thought the price we paid for the cruise to be a bit steep at $2500 for 2 persons. On the other hand: you can probably get great discounts if you book closer to the departure date than we did, since the cruise was not fully booked. We booked the tour online through Bestpricetravel.
