  We had an amazing stay at The Secret Con Dao and truly enjoyed our time there. The hotel is beautiful, extremely clean, very well maintained, and perfectly located for exploring the island. The airport shuttle service is excellent, and it was also very easy and affordable to rent a scooter directly through the hotel, which made discovering Con Dao incredibly convenient and enjoyable. The pool area was always spotless, and every room we saw felt fresh, modern, and very well cleaned. We honestly do not understand some of the negative reviews because the hotel clearly puts a lot of effort into creating a high-quality experience. That being said, there are a few things that could still be improved. One issue was that requests and wishes regarding the room or food were often ignored initially, meaning we had to organize or push for things ourselves several times instead of receiving proactive support. Another frustrating situation was the handling of loud guests at the pool after 10:00PM. Reception and security did not really manage the situation, so we had to deal with it ourselves instead of being able to sleep. We were also disappointed that there was no smart TV or Netflix access available, which nowadays feels like a very standard feature even in many middle-class hotels. Additionally, there were a few small power interruptions during the night where the air conditioning switched off and did not restart automatically. Since the remote is mounted on the wall, we had to get up multiple times during the night either to turn it back on or simply deal with the heat. The pillows were also personally too high for comfortable sleeping, and we ended up using the decorative pillow instead. But despite these points, our stay was genuinely wonderful and one person in particular made it extra special: Hieu, the restaurant manager. Hieu is an absolute gem and deserves special recognition. He went above and beyond for us every single day, arranged oat milk, had extra vegan breakfast dishes specially prepared, always checked in on us, and made us feel truly welcome and cared for. His kindness, professionalism, and dedication are exceptional and he is a huge asset to this already fantastic hotel. With a few improvements in communication and guest management, The Secret Con Dao could easily become one of the best hotel experiences imaginable.

  Amazing hotel! The staff is so friendly. The people who say they are not must be crazy or something. Best hotel we stayed at in Vietnam!!!!!! AMAZING!!!! We love the secret in condau and cannot recommend it enough!!! Especially because or the staff. I’m Dutch so you know o don’t sugar coat.

  Excellent location and staff. Everyone at the hotel was very kind and accommodating. We found booking to be a little difficult as we are family of four with older children. We probably could have fit in a larger room. Hue at the spa was very experienced and kind I had a wonderful stone massage treatment. Giang during breakfast was very helpful and had wonderful English. The breakfast was legendary one of the best spreads we've had in Vietnam. Overall we would stay again.

  The Secret is located in the absolute best position in Con Dao town. It’s 1 minute walk to a lovely sandy beach, a short walk to the markets and a multitude of cafes and restaurants. Cocktails at the rooftop bar were lovely with 2 for 1 during happy hour every afternoon/evening. The hotel dining was also great, we particularly enjoyed the charcoal 4 cheese pizza (Napoli style thin crust, even better with a drizzle of the local honey they serve it with) and the breakfast buffet was a fabulous selection of western and Asian breakfast favorites. The very best thing about our stay was the outstanding service given to us by Sang. She served our table for our first night at The Secret (and our first but not last pizza) and was both professional and super friendly. Then every morning we saw her, she greeted us with the warmest smile and made us feel so welcome. Thank you Sang :)

  Nice resort, good location, staffs are friendly and attentive, nice swimming pool. Foods can be better but overall is good. Recommended! P/s: just an important note for smokers as this resort is committing to a non-smoking resort so you can’t smoke even on your room’s balcony. There is a small designated area tho but hope it can be more comfortable.

  This is a beautiful resort with modern rooms and truly excellent service. The staff is very courteous, and the food is high quality, especially the Vietnamese lunch menu which we highly recommend. Unfortunately, the experience was dampened by a few issues. Our room was not entirely clean when we arrived and wasn't cleaned well during our stay, plus we faced frequent power outages. There are also not enough sunbeds for everyone, leading to guests reserving them with towels hours before actually using them. We also felt the pool cleanliness could be improved and noticed that staff did not enforce house rules regarding smoking or pool behavior. But overall still a great place to stay!

  My stay at The Secret Côn Đảo has been wonderful—a peaceful island escape.Super accessible location in Con Son town: steps from the beach, easy walk to shops, restaurants, and sights.Breakfast is excellent—fresh buffet with pho, western options, fruits, breads, and great coffee. Clean, modern rooms and friendly staff.

  The Secret has a perfect location and excellent value for money. We booked the all-inclusive package – lots of food choices and everything tasted great. So close to the city. A big thanks to Stanley, the lobby manager, for his superb service. Highly recommended!
