  Stayed for the month of October. Wonderful host, who is friendly and communicative and offered free drinking water, instant ramen, coffee, and laundry. Room was very comfortable with good ac, was nicer than the photos I felt. Very quiet area. There’s an amazing seafood restaurant down the street just past the hospital! Also host’s sister has a great restaurant in town :) The host rents scooters, but we walked everywhere - about 30 min to town/beach, with good sidewalks. Thank you for a great stay, would absolutely stay here again!

  The hostel owner is incredibly hospitable and devoted. What’s more, the craft beer he brews himself is absolutely delicious and unique, a must-try when you visit. Surrounded by mountains, the space and atmosphere here are wonderfully calm and tranquil. Make sure to experience this wonderful place when you come to Con Dao.

  Excellent place to stay: nice beds, hot water, toothbrush/toothpaste/hairnet, fast wifi, coffee/noodles/porridge available all day, full kitchen available, fresh fruit commonly provided. Great owner: Ken was a tremendous help. He will bend over backwards to help. For example, in getting to and away from the island. He helped me find unlisted buses from Can tho to Tran De, and then getting back to an obscure highway bus stop in Soc Trang. He will also help you get a bicycle or motorbike for the island, or anything else you need. I could go on and on in this review about the kindness and generosity of the family. Location is a little outside of the center but that makes it closer to the national park and access points to beaches. There's also good, local, cheaper food here compared to the center.

  Located 2kms from town center and right at the foot of the National Park means you could be able to access to either the beach in town centre or go hike in an equal distance. There are 2 beaches at the other end point inside the National park, I would say Bai Bang is much more beautiful than the other one, the water is absolutely clear. I went there twice, 1st time by bicycle, seeing no one except the security felt like I owned a private beach (photo) and the 2nd time was a hiking trip from The Snail. If you are seeking a place where you can do both swimming and hiking then here it is. What makes my stay truly enjoyable was how helpful the host - Ken was. He helped picking you up from harbor (Superdong) - home - bicycle renting shop - harbor FOC. Additionally, he offers free fruit, sweets, instant noodles and coffee.

  The best place to stay in Con Dao. Ken and his family are excellent hosts and make you feel truly at home. It is comforting when someone you don’t know, while you are far away from home, offers to spend time with you and his friends, shares some candy, or gives you a freshly cut coconut. After many months of traveling and getting to know the country, I can say that this has been the place where I have felt the most comfortable. And now I can consider Ken a friend. I will definitely return. 💚

  Can really recommend staying here. My partner and I stayed here about a week and had a great time. Ken the owner speaks good English and has always been very helpful and patient, even when we told him we lost our room key to a pair of monkeys (true story (we got the key back)). There is also ramen, coffee, snacks and free water (easy to fill your own bottle which is nice so you can reduce plastic waste!

  The first 3 days on the island I had no cash and survived on the free ramen they provided. Some mosquitoes and spiders to be expected so bring enough mosquito repellent! Very affordable and price competitive Welcoming hosts too

  Good hostel. They provide even a towel and toothbrush kit. Quite far from the sea. Kots of relatively aggressive stray dogs on the street will make your walk less pleasant.
