  We had a great time at Garden House in November, for 4 days. It is a perfect accommodation if you are looking for good services and also meeting the local people/ the host family. The room clean, towels, AC (also with dry function- which saved us) and nice view of the mountain from the bed. The House has a nice garden, a small but functional kitchen in the back if you need to use it; we also rented scooter from them; and they also offered laundry service if you need. What I liked the most was that they invited us to dinner in the first night, and we had a nice BBQ in the garden with delicious food. The house/ hotel is not in the city center, it is near the forest so it has a nice vibe. Anyhow you need a scooter if you want to explore the island properly and also for moving easily in the city so with the scooter you can get to the ‘busy’ part in no time. Ps. You are fine if you have a international B driving licence; there is absolutely no one who will check the licence there.

  May 2026 Love the water cooler in the room. Still a 5 star experience even though it's a little far from town and the hot water in the shower is just barely warm. Big clean room, friendly service, comfortable bed, good WiFi and AC. Great big windows looking out over trees (monkeys, black raccoons, very big 🐍). Good value for what you get.

  I had a wonderful stay a garden house. The property was beautiful and spacious. The host were able to arrange a taxi to and from the airport for us. The hosts were very gracious and kind. Their kid is a wonderful translator, very smart and professional for a young kid! The use of the kitchen was wonderful for when we had meals at home. It was extra fun to rent a motorbike so we could explore the island independently. Everything was spotless around the entire house and you can tell they take pride in what they do. Highly recommend

  The Garden House is a beautiful hotel situated away from the crowds and noise of Còn Đảo city. As it's name implies, The Garden House has beautiful plants and flowers. And The Garden House has a kitchen and dining area, where the hotel guests can prepare and enjoy their meals.

  I really respect Garden House. It is a nice property, with nice rooms. Everything is clean, and very laid back. I had a last minute change of plans, and they were very accommodating. The WiFi is fine, but not good enough for anything more than light web browsing, which should be fine if you’re on personal travel. Great value and great service. Thank you!

  A truly outstanding stay, especially considering location and price. Among my very favourite places I have stayed in Vietnam. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well appointed (a full drinking water cooler - rare even in the fanciest resorts!). The hosts were incredibly friendly. The owners don’t speak English but their kids can help to translate. I was invited to join the family for dinner in the garden which I really enjoyed. You can also use the large kitchen to cook your own meals, and there is a fridge in the lobby with cold drinks at excellent prices. The family arranged everything including airport transfers, a motorbike rental, and a snorkelling/turtle tour. I was particularly impressed with the motorbikes available which were new and in excellent shape (2 mirrors, smooth starts, <7000km on the bike I had). One of the nicest restaurants on the island is just 200m down the road too. It’s a little bit out of the town centre - very easy to motorbike or bicycle but if you’re only walking it might be a touch far. My only very minor complaint is that the rooms aren’t super well soundproofed, so you hear other guests moving through the hallways. However this is common throughout Vietnam. Fortunately the home stay is in a very quiet neighbourhood so you are not disturbed by restaurants or karaokes. When I return to Con Dao I am sure I will stay here again.

  I absolutely loved my stay at Garden House. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean and very comfortable - perfect shower. The hotel is in a really quiet part of town but only a 5 minutes drive to the centre and scooters are available to rent from the hotel or also a bicycle. For me the location was perfect as I like to be away from tourist spots and you will need a scooter to explore the island anyway plus my favourite restaurant on the island (Beach House) is located 2 min walk away so very convenient! Ms Tuyen and her family are so welcoming and hospitable - they really are providing a full service and have the most gorgeous poodle called Moon who I fell in love with and welcomes you on arrival. Her family were even as kind to invite me to join them for dinner in town on my final night where they treated me to some traditional southern Vietnamese dishes and taught me about Con Dao’s history. I would return to garden house without a doubt and cherish my time here as my last stop travelling through Vietnam - thank you so much!

  The Garden House is an ideal choice for travelers who want a modern, well-managed hotel away from the noise of the city. As it's name suggests, the hotel is surrounded with beautiful gardens , and there are many places to sit and relax outside. For hotel guests who wish to prepare their own meals, The Garden House has a large club house with refrigerators, cookers, seating, and plenty of dishes and kitchen utensils. And for those travelers who want to enjoy excellent and creative dining, The Beach House restaurant is within walking distance.
