All staff members at Lighthouse were extremely helpful, making my stay there so comfortable. They totally went out of their way to even help me with reservation of my ferry to Mekong Delta, and bus from there, etc., in addition to various activities on Con Dao island. The room was quite cozy and lovely, I highly recommend just paying slightly more for the room with a balcony. It's only a view of the street but it's definitely more refreshing. I loved the cute decor, the room was simple but had everything I needed, AC, hot water and wifi all worked perfectly fine. Great value for the money!!

Lovely hotel right in downtown area. The rooms are clean, and everything is functional and comfortable. We have our room on the third floor and enjoy using the terrace at night for some games. They also have a nice seating area at the front that we use for lunch one day. There are lots of good restaurants, coffee shops, and a supermarket all within 2-5 minutes walking distance. The hotel staff are all friendly and helpful.

The quality of the room that I had (double) is more like 3 star quality, not 1. Very clean and new. Good air conditioning. Nice bed and bedding. The bathroom is more 2 star, but still good. The staff was very friendly. The biggest drawback is how thin the walls are, and they are exceptally thin. You hear everything from the room next door to the neighbors in the adjacent property. But it appeared that there are 3 different areas where guest rooms are so this information may not apply to the other rooms. Overall I was very happy.

Gorgeous little hotel. The room was really cozy and clean. The shower was hot, the air con works well. Nice to have electric outlets on both sides of the bed. It’s also beautiful decorated inside. Highly recommend this place while visiting Con Dao.

We stayed here in November and saw the room before we booked it so we knew what to expect from the Lighthouse/Hai An Hotel. This is a very good guest house/hotel with a strong price/quality/location ratio. Remark: The new rooms are funny with one side consisting fully out of glass but the curtains do their job very well so do not worry. These rooms are very clean and the bed is really good and soft which is quite rare when we talked to other guests and travellers in Vietnam. The airco is working perfectly and the bathroom with the tiles is very well done. The staff we met, did not speak english (at all), but google translate will be your intermediary during your stay. They can also help you in finding a motorbike. Overall this is a very good stay in Con Son/Con Dao for those who value very good basics, but do not expect to much frills.

This hotel is perfect if you want a cheap budget hotel for your time on the island. We were staying 4 nights and backpacking so this suited us perfectly. Staff friendly and helpful, explaining the map of the island to us on arrival. We rented bikes for 120'000 vnd per day. We had a balcony which was lovely to sit out on an evening. There was quite a lot of noise/ singing on the street one evening which went on until around 2am. Staff were apologetic about this and reassured that they would contact the police as there is a noise curfew on the island after 10pm.

The people who work here go out of the way to assist you at this basic inexpensive lodging. Hoa (Flower in Vietnemese) was particularly helpful. ||-Motorbike rental still 120K VND per day from a selection across the street. You may be missing a mirror and they may need a gas fill up first thing.||-There is a sheet metal shop across the small street so it will be a bit noisy at 7am weekdays. Otherwise the location is good.||-Rooms super clean. Some sewer gas smell and gurgling from the drains at times so keep the bathroom door closed. Hot water for shower was ok. No shower stall. Air conditioning was good.||-No room safe||-No Beach towels. We bought some cheap towels at a nearby shop.||-Balcony on third floor seems open to all guests but we had it to ourselves at sunset near our 3rd floor room. Also good for drying wet clothes. There is a private balcony on a room on the second floor. ||-They sell beer and water by the reception desk, but it was not very cold so we bought it elsewhere and used the mini fridge in the room. You pay at the end of stay for any charges incurred.||-If you use credit card to pay you will incur a 3% up charge.||-We were told they can provide some food if you let them know but we walked a short way to Villa Maison for a great breakfast each day.||-The hotel arranged our transit from and to the airport for 50K VND a person.||||May new hotels being built in this area.

We stayed at Lighthouse Hotel for 5 nights & we had a fantastic time on the island, but unfortunately for us the hotel let us down. |It seems to be a hotel where Vietnamese come for a short stay & this is a great place to do this. We weren’t prepared to pay 5* prices & therefore this is where you finish up. |Con Dao has very few western tourists & there is very little infrastructure in place to cater for the tourists which suited us fine, but I must admit it would be lovely to come back to accommodation that you know is at least going to have a functioning bathroom & television that worked.|This is not necessarily a case of you get what you pay for, we felt we paid middle of the road prices & when you stay in an island you expect everything to be a little more, but unfortunately we felt we were let down a little this time. |The markets were amazing for breakfast, we ate at a few local places but we really enjoyed the atmosphere at the promenade of an afternoon & found ourselves eating with the locals from little food stalls there. The local people were so lovely & wanted to help anyway they could, we enjoyed the interaction with them despite the language barrier.|We would return without hesitation, a little wiser next time.
