  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I visited Lam Dong General Hospital as a walk-in patient needing a follow-up X-ray one month after elbow surgery (I had broken the olecranon off my ulna in Cambodia). From the moment I arrived, I was treated with incredible kindness and efficiency. Even though it’s a public hospital and most of the staff didn’t speak English, they went out of their way to communicate—immediately using their phones to translate and guide me through the process. I was smoothly moved from registration to payment, then straight into the orthopedic surgeon’s office. The surgeon spoke excellent English, reviewed my case, and sent me for X-rays. Within 10 minutes, I had my X-rays in hand and was back in his office for review. He reassured me that everything looked great and that my recovery was on track. Total time: about 1 hour. Total cost: $4 USD. Absolutely blown away by the professionalism, compassion, and efficiency—especially for a public hospital. Highly recommend to anyone needing medical care in Da Lat.

  We are from Australia. I took my daughter to this hospital due to her continually vomiting about 9pm. I can’t praise the staff enough. We were seen by a Doctor within 2 minutes of arrival. They performed an ultrasound of her stomach and prescribed medication. We were walking out within an hour. The building is run down and tired but the staff were outstanding. 120000 vnd fee.

  Went here for a banged up wrist. Got an x-ray. Short wait time, not the most amazing communication but their English is way better than my Vietnamese! $20 for x-ray and wrist strap

  Went in with severe food poisoning, while I technically got better, it was no thanks to the ‘medical professionals’ who seem unable to meet the most basic demands. Just getting water can become a mission, and they seem incredibly annoyed by any request. At first I was told I can’t leave for 3 days, then 5 days even though I felt better, I discharged myself eventually which was another confusing process. They also tried to get me to leave with the IV Cannula still in my hand!!! Basic care not met avoid if possible

  Do not go if you don’t speak Vietnamese I recommend Hoan My private hospital instead. The hospital is overcrowded and the wait for care is very long. The toilets are dirty and not wheelchair 🦽 accessible. People smoke inside and there are no services available (your family is expected to take care of you). I was in the hospital waiting for care for over 10 hours but finally left and went to the emergency room at Hoan My and was already receiving care within 10 minutes.

  If you’re here after the unfortunate event of a motorcycle accident be sure to make them clean your wounds properly. I got a severe infection and almost sepsis after getting stitches from this hospital.

  If you do not speak Vietnamese AVOID this hospital at all cost. Me and a friend were in a motorcycle accident and came here after driving for an hour, bloody and all. They had us running around upstairs and downstairs then waiting in a big line with non emergency people. When the doctor finally looked at our wounds he didn't change bandages or anything he checked if my friends arm was fractured, didn't ask about tetanus, we had to insist. I was better off, but he took a look at my knee, made a disgusted face didnt say anything or do anything about it and then sent us on our way. Communication was terrible. Go to the international hospital.

  As a tourist, avoid this place at all cost! I got here because of a bicycle accident. They wanted me to get a shower before doing any diagnosis, although my arm was broken. After that they kept me in a room with 5 other people+ their wifes/kids. We where therefore 9 to sleep in a single room. The roommates watched tiktoks and played loud video games all the day long. I got a bed with a 2cm thick mattress, of course no curtain, and the bed sheets were already dirty. I was told I was '' lucky'' to have a bed! Regarding the service, difficult to judge since it's inexistent. The nurses come in the morning to give the medicines and that's it (and they don't give water). It's basically the family that does the job of the nurse, but since I was backpacking i was completely in my own. I was craving for a shower/new shirt, but no one helped me. There was no wifi nor help button. There's no food not drinks included, you have to purchase everything by yourself at the canteen or via GrabFood. Last but not least : the hospital is full of insects at night. Of course, I refused to get a surgery there. I don't wish it to my worst ennemy. Avoid this place at all cost!
