i’ve onlu stayed 1 night but i could’ve stay much longer if i had time. first of all i loved their “family dinner” concept. mrs.peace cooks for yoy and you are eating with other guests. such a warm enviroment. also the hostel runs buy family as you can guess. i think it makes the place more welcoming and sincere. they gave you so much information about city and they even have printed advices to discover city more. room was great enough for me. overall it was comfortable and fun stay.

A do not skip hostel, Mr Peace was the nicest most welcoming host. Really comfortable beds and clean facilities. Has bikes to rent and will organise any trip you are interested in.

Hat a great time there! It’s a small but social hostel. The owners are so nice and welcoming, you can really tell, that running that hostel is their heart and soul. They offer a variety of trips. I book a three day motorbike tour with them as a solo traveling woman and felt super safe and comfortable the whole time! My easyrider Dat took such good care of me and did an amazing job showing me around. Highly recommend!!!

Stayed in a 6 person dorm room, a bit crowded but it was okay. Bed is big enough & comfortable, bathroom is bigger than most hostels I stayed in. Family dinner is a great way to meet people. I booked a canoyning tour through the hostel and it was a great experience. I booked my night bus before checking in and realised it would have been way cheaper to book through the hostel!

Warm, friendly and homely, we loved our stay with Mr Peace, Strawberry and their beautiful family. We were welcomed with a hug and were given a quick update on the area and tour suggestions. We joined a Family Dinner with the rest of the guests and feasted on a fresh home cooked meal prepared by Strawberry; I loved how the family came together to share stories, play the piano and pool. We booked an Easy Rider tour through the hostel - will recommend to anyone wanting to explore Da Lat. Our tour guide, Ocean, was funny, knowledgeable and well versed with the area. It's a full day tour but Ocean plans regular stops to stretch your legs and do some sight seeing. Safety is paramount, so Ocean also makes sure the bikes are in good condition and does pre checks before starting the tour. We booked a private room at the hostel, clean tidy and comfortable. They also have an overnight laundry service. They serve breakfast daily - egg and bread roll or banana pancakes with Coffee or tea. Loved every bit of our stay and will be back here when we return to Da Lat!

The owner ‘accidentally’ deleted my stay on Hostelworld hence reviewing on here - as soon as I challenged them they started giving me free food and drink - clearly this is why their Hostelworld score is much higher than on Google - this is a repeat pattern of if they get a sense a guest won’t leave a glowing review. Mr Peace and his wife are helpful and the family dinners they organise are good and the hostel has a nice social community vibe. However the amount of food we were given was small - so lots of us were still hungry. I was allowed to check in for 50,000 VND at 7am after a grim night bus, which was great. The rooms don’t lock and there isn’t enough lockers in the 6 bed female for everyone. This is the smallest 6 bed dorm I have EVER stayed in! The curtains are thin and the light goes through. ( see pics) I had to remind the staff they hadn’t cleaned the room in two days - the bin was overflowing. They came in instantly (but it was 7am??) so they woke guests up - it was highly strange. When one person in the 6 bed female dorm has a light on - the whole room lights up. They do bike hire - but the selection of helmets is poor, everything was far too big

I stayed at this hostel for 4 nights and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The biggest issue was the attitude of the owner. I forgot to take off my shoes twice when entering the building. In my culture, removing shoes before entering a house is not a common habit, so it was an honest mistake. Instead of politely reminding me, the owner repeatedly raised his voice and treated the situation in a very rude and aggressive way. Another unpleasant experience happened during breakfast. We asked for rice, but the woman working in the kitchen initially refused to cook it. It felt as if she simply did not want to do the extra work. Only after we insisted and complained did they finally prepare it. The whole interaction felt unnecessarily hostile. The receptionist also made us feel unwelcome. At one point she asked us why we were still there and why we were staying so long in Da Nang. The way she said it gave us the impression that she wanted us to leave because she did not like having us there. The facilities themselves may be acceptable, but hospitality is about how guests are treated. Unfortunately, throughout our stay we often felt unwelcome and disrespected. I cannot recommend this hostel based on my experience. PS after your reply You run a hostel, and based on the number of guests you accommodate, you should provide an adequate service. If you run out of rice, then go and buy more, because if rice is on the menu, I expect it to be available. For two days in a row, we practically had to beg for rice to be cooked. If someone else ordered it before me, that’s not my problem. If it’s on the menu, you are supposed to serve it to your guests. Otherwise, remove it from the menu. Out of the four items on the menu, both the fried rice and the noodles were unavailable. That is your responsibility. If you cannot provide those dishes for all guests, then they should not be listed on the menu. Secondly, we stayed with you for four days because, as I wrote in my review, the location was convenient and the beds were fairly comfortable, despite the noise in the morning and in the evening caused by a door constantly being opened and closed by the family living upstairs. However, the negative part of my review is mainly about your behavior as hostel owners. The hostel itself was generally acceptable, but your attitude and the way you treated guests were absolutely not.

Really enjoyed my stay at Mr Peace’s hostel. It felt so wholesome and like a home stay as it had great family vibes. Very social hostel and they had family dinner every night which was a great way to meet people. Mr Peace’s and his family were very welcoming and made us feel at home for the 4 days that we stayed. Had a lot of fun and met great characters.
