Had a great stay here. Very much a social hostel. Family dinner every night is handy for meeting people. The rooms are fine, pretty standard for a hostel. Drinks are cheap and strong, especially during happy hour. If you want to have a fun night out stay here

For the price of stay it’s perfect hostel. If you go to 6th floor, you can find billiard table and many cool people with whom you can do many activities together. Tasty Family dinner for cheap price, lots of activities around the town, bikes for rent etc. if you leave something behind they make sure to find it through cameras and even send to your next destination place In Vietnam.

For the insanely cheap price I scored on Hostelworld, this place is an absolute gem. The beds are big and super comfy, and breakfast is included. There’s a bar and a balcony on the 6th floor where you can hang out, listen to music, and meet loads of new people. The host is incredibly welcoming, and the home-cooked family dinner is seriously delicious. The staff all speak great English too. Solid 10/10 ⭐

Excellent hostel for the price. Very social, you’ll make friends instantly by the pool table. One room has a really sweet greenhouse kinda vibe with one huge table to chat, play cards, eat etc. Family dinner is a must! So much food for the price and delicious. Also the Banh mi stand over the road at night is insane. Only thing is the social area is an enclosed space and everyone was smoking, pretty intense for a non smoker. But that’s purely personal preference! :)

if you’re looking for a really sociable and fun place to stay on a budget then this is it. The family dinner is a must - atmosphere, food and set up is so just fun. Stayed in many hostels but no one does good night life as good as this place. Not the cleanest place - especially the bathroom which smelt so damp. But overall loved our stay. Thanks to the staff for making such a great vibe!!

Appalling experience at this hostel and would never recommend to anyone. We booked over Tet and although it was busy season for all the hostels and hotels, they decided to let double the amount of people book the hostel, knowing they couldn’t house them due to wanting to gain extra profit and scamming everyone else (leaving them on the street for the night). We booked on booking.com - no option to pay deposit so understand that if you did pay that on Hostelworld there was a guarantee of getting a bed… but just take it off of booking.com to avoid messing with so many people and booking ‘reservations’ that clearly mean nothing). We also contacted them through WhatsApp the day before to confirm our booking and they didn’t respond to us at all so we were left in the dark initially as well. When we got there, it looked dirty and rundown anyway, but there was already loads of people who had been told they couldn’t stay there (even after booking) and very stuck as they had nowhere to go. The staff weren’t helpful and very much ‘not our problem’ attitude, after a while of debate and trying to get a proper answer of why they let people book, knowing it would end like this, we were offered ‘camping’ (a broken tent in a mouldy, cold concrete room with no heating, electric, toilets, bed/mattress or any essentials) on a different floor in the hostel. They tried to charge over double the price because ’they were busy and it’s in high demand’, charging everyone they offered different prices and weren’t offering any sympathy or care for what the situation actually was. We ended up leaving as it wasn’t safe, it was a complete rip off and they had put so many people out on the street because they were incompetent at running their own booking system (‘unknowingly’) and found elsewhere to stay (luckily). It seems like there’s reviews similar to this consistently over time so it’s not a new thing and from what we heard (from other tourists trying to book in), they were also cancelling other people’s bookings to ensure they couldn’t write bad reviews on Hostelworld or so they could get other people into their beds instead. Highly DO NOT recommend staying here. Appalling staff and attitude towards everything, if they’re happy to put you out on the street during such a busy phase, it’s evident they don’t care about your safety or what happens to you.

Disgraceful hostel—blatant discrimination against Chinese travelers! These hostel operators are completely shameless. I booked a 10-day stay, paid in full, and my booking was officially confirmed. However, when I arrived at the front desk to check in, I was shocked to find out that they had canceled my reservation. The owner made up a pathetic lie, claiming the rooms were undergoing renovation. But when I chatted with some British guests who were currently staying there, they told me there was absolutely no renovation going on! To make matters worse, while he was telling me the rooms were unavailable, he was still actively selling them on multiple booking websites. The real reason behind this is that these greedy Vietnamese operators think Chinese tourists are too budget-conscious and won't spend extra money buying food or drinks at their hostel. They lure people in with low prices online, but they only want to host Western travelers. The moment they see a booking from a Chinese guest, they just cancel it on the spot. This is blatant, textbook discrimination! They are a total disgrace to Vietnamese hospitality. On top of all that, the Wi-Fi at this hostel is absolutely terrible and practically unusable.

The atmosphere of this hostel is definitely something to take into account. It has a very “baba cool” / hippie vibe, which can be nice for some people. However, from the moment I arrived, everyone was smoking on the balcony and the place felt quite dirty, especially the toilets and bathrooms.||Unfortunately, I had to leave the hostel in the middle of the night because I couldn’t sleep at all due to the noise coming from the common area. My reservation was then removed, supposedly to avoid a bad review.||When I arrived at my new hostel, the staff told me I wasn’t the only one who had recently left this place for the same reasons.
