My stay at Pretty Backpackers was absolutely amazing. The accommodation was fantastic, and they have a lovely rooftop area where you can relax and unwind. The hosts, Mr. Pretty and Mrs. Pretty, are incredible — so friendly and always happy to help. They went above and beyond by assisting with onward transport and giving great recommendations for places to eat. I stayed during TET (Lunar New Year), which made the experience even more special, as I had the opportunity to join in the New Year celebrations. They also serve breakfast every morning at a very reasonable price, and it was definitely worth it — absolutely delicious! Thank you for such an awesome stay. I will 100% be back when I return to Vietnam and plan to stay longer next time.

A more quiet family run hostel. I enjoyed my stay of four/five nights. Its in a small street with low traffic but very central. Just the "Sausage dog" needs a diet ;-)

Super Friendly and Helpful – Thank You, Ms. Pretty! Even though we weren’t staying at the hostel, Ms. Pretty was incredibly kind and let us store our backpacks there while we explored the city. That small favor made our day so much easier and really showed how warm and welcoming the atmosphere is. The dorm area looked clean and cozy, and the vibe of the place was really chill and traveler-friendly. Huge thanks to Ms. Pretty you’re amazing!

We had the most amazing time staying with Pretty, Mr Pretty and Dollar 🐶 at their homestay hostel. They were very accommodating allowing us to shower before our night bus and extending other people's stay at very reasonable prices. Also very knowledgeable on what do do/see as a tourist in the area without being at all pushy on tours/experience that you can book through the homestay. Location is excellent, down a quiet road but still near to the main market area and there's loads of food/coffee options close by too. Breakfast was a variety of different local dishes which were great to try - all served up by Mr Pretty. There's a win mart 5 mins walk away but the beers, soft drinks and water are very reasonably priced. Only criticism was that the showers don't have that much water pressure but that is very common in Vietnam.

After a month in Vietnam, I can confidently say this is the best homestay I had the pleasure of staying at. Dorms and bathrooms are very clean. Breakfast included. Very reasonable prices for fridge drinks. Mr and Mrs Pretty are so kind and hospitable and friendly. The family dinner they hosted was the best family dinner I've had in the whole country - both the quality of the food and the atmosphere they curate. If you're in Da Lat you have to stay here.

Thank you Mrs Pretty! You made our stay in Da Lat much memorable. Home made breakfasts, spacious rooms, comfy beds and local talent. Your willingness to share your local knowledge (and even take us out to celebrate your wedding anniversary!) gave us no other choice but to extend our time at your hostel. Thank you to you and your family for letting us share the space on our own accord, yet always being there to aid when needed. 🌞

EMPLOYEE WAS RACIST TO THEIR OWN PEOPLE AND NOT HONEST It was 26th June 2025, I was walking around the city centre of Da Lat to find a hostel to stay. I went to the Pretty Backpacker House and was greeted by a lady (possibly an employee). I asked for a bed in their dorm (I saw on Booking that they still had a bed in their dorm), and I also asked to see the room beforehand. Seeing me as Vietnamese, the lady immediately told me that this kind of dorm is more for westerner/foreign tourists rather Vietnamese, and she proceeded to tell me that there were no bed left in their dorm room and there were only private room - which is clearly a lie as on Booking this hostel only has dorm room. I could understand that other travelers have very good experience in this hostel, but mine was a very unpleasant one. In Vietnam, we have a saying that only Vietnamese people make their own kind miserable, I do believe this is less and less the case but this time it is an exception to that. 1 star, and please continue to treat foreigners more than the locals (sarcastically)
