  This was a lovely stay for us whilst in Dalat. First night stayed as part of a “stay and play” package and then had two extra nights. The “stay and play” package was a good way to stay if intending to play golf. Hotel entrance, hallways, dining areas are stunning. Amazing view from our room. The room was good. We requested a fan as we found it a bit warm and it was quickly delivered to us. The bathrooms are old, but fit in with the decor. The biggest plus of this hotel is all the amazing staff. They are all so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our flight was changed on us and as we are Australian struggled to sort out seeing if we could be changed onto a different flight as the one they changed is to was too late for us. Tran at reception was sooooo helpful. She spent a considerable amount of time helping us sort this out - we certainly could not have done it without her. All staff however were keen to help in any way they could. We had a great stay

  The hotel is quite comfortable, with heating and a very good night’s sleep. The staff and reception are friendly, quick, and very helpful. The view overlooking the lake is beautiful, and a big plus is the large garden with lots of ornamental trees. The old section’s interior and décor are beautiful and charming. However, the new area looks quite plain and lacks aesthetic appeal — sorry, but it feels a bit cheap (n fake flowers used for decoration in the rooms lol). Breakfast is delicious with plenty of choices. Afternoon tea includes both sweet and savory pastries, but not many options and quite average overall. 8/10

  Nice building, amazing view, fun surrounding gardens (somewhat spoiled by crowds of camera-toting tryhards). I love the grandiose chintz of the public areas. It's like staying at a Trump property without having to give money to Nazis. And the view of the lake is unbeatable. My room was huge and classy and had a wonderful view. Bed was super comfy. Neighbors screamed and argued and FaceTimed on full volume only a few times a night. "Hot" water started out cold and through much concerted effort got to somewhere between room temperature and lukewarm. We take what we can get. There wasn't heating either, in this five-star hotel. Receptionist who showed me up to my room (youngish guy, not into women) was great and helpful and an enthusiastic ambassador for the hotel. Other front desk staff were mid: grudgingly going through the motions. The restaurant is where it all fell apart. Horrendously bad service. Not to mention the name cards for the buffet dishes are arranged totally at random. The print on the cards is tiny, they're at hip level, and the cards face forward, not up, so maybe they're just decorations. I'm pretty sure that pitcher of orange juice didn't in fact contain potato salad, no matter what the card said. Speaking of orange juice, all the juices taste absolutely like water. At least they must be sugar-free, so I'll count that as a win. One waiter's face was so buried in his Facebook every time I saw him that I feared he'd bump into walls. Other staff studiously avoided eye contact, like we were on a singles' cruise and I was the creep. But some loud Big Boys rolled in to breakfast one morning and they got fawning service, probably because the staff was scared of them. Meanwhile, vignette from my breakfast: -Can I get water please? --Huh? -Water? --Huh? -Cho anh mot ly nuoc suoi, duoc khong? --[she points lazily toward the back of the room] You over there. Five-star hotel, ladies and gentlemen! But look. It's 1/10 the price of real five star hotels. So don't compare it to those. Enjoy it for what it is and you'll live better.

  High Tea buffet review: Despite having a reservation, the service was poorly organized. The reception staff appeared unprepared, our table was not set up, and no tea or napkins were provided upon arrival. The buffet selection was limited, some food was not ready when served, and the pastries were cold. Both the food and tea were average and did not justify the price of 379,000 VND per person. The palace offers a beautiful atmosphere and décor, but overall it feels like they are selling the ambiance rather than the quality. Service and food standards need improvement.

  Dalat Palace – First Impressions Matter, and This One Failed I came to Dalat Palace with genuine excitement curious to experience what a five star hotel in Đà Lạt had to offer. I left disappointed, not by the building, but by the people responsible for welcoming guests into it. The doorman in red was our first point of contact, and he set the tone for the entire visit in the worst way. He did not open the car door, did not greet us, and offered no direction whatsoever. When I approached him for help locating the tea buffet, he dismissed us entirely. We were left to wander and ask two additional staff members first a waitress, then a male staff member before anyone could properly explain where to go and what was being offered. That is a significant amount of friction before even being seated. Once inside, the reception desk was unmanned. The buffet area was empty with no signage and no one positioned to receive guests. The process of simply getting seated and having our order taken required unnecessary effort on our part as paying customers. What happened next was the most telling moment of the visit. The female waitress approached a table occupied by a white guest, cleaned it attentively, and moved on walking straight past our table without so much as a glance in our direction. Our table was left untouched and unacknowledged. I have attached a photo that captures this moment clearly. It is difficult to look at that and not draw conclusions about who this staff considers worthy of service. To be fair, the male staff member who ultimately assisted us was professional, patient, and helpful a clear contrast to the indifference we encountered everywhere else. The food itself was acceptable, though unremarkable for the price point and setting. What concerns me most is this: the doorman is not a background role. He is the first and last impression of your hotel and restaurant. Placing someone in that position who cannot or will not perform basic hospitality duties reflects a failure of hiring and training, not just individual attitude. I also cannot ignore the pattern across our entire visit. The doorman dismissed us. The reception desk was empty. The waitress cleaned the table of a white guest and ignored ours entirely. No one should pay to feel like a burden or an afterthought based on how they look. That experience, more than anything else, is what I will remember about this place. Two out of three staff members encountered either ignored us or were unable to assist. That is not an off day that is a systemic problem. With the right training and accountability, this place could live up to its reputation. Right now, it does not.

  Several things about this hotel that stand out among others where we had stayed in the past: ||1. The vast and beautiful grounds with manicured lawns, beautiful gardens and flowers everywhere. I could spend an hour strolling around this property easily and couldn't help stopping every so often to admire the healthy, gorgeous flowers.||2. Excellent location, directly across the street from the romantic Xuan Huong Lake. Having breakfast or high tea on the verandah with a beautiful view of the lake was heavenly.||3. Sumptuous afternoon tea buffet included in the room rate. There were dozens of delicious sweet as well as savory little bites beautifully served on crystals or china. There were so many different varieties to choose from and the generous buffet really surprised us not just for the quantity but for the quality also.||4. The polite, enthusiastic, helpful service that we received from the staff such as Le Thanh Binh in the restaurant and the bell staff contributed to a memorable stay.||The only thing that needs improvement is the room. Although the bathroom has been renovated the room shows its age with peeled paints, hard to open and close shutters, an old fashioned safe that's not screwed to the wall.

  The hotel is beautiful, historic and well maintained. Food and service quality is fantastic. I booked a luxury twin room with high ceilings and plenty of space. Built in 1922 with lush greens and floral garden right in front, antiques and ＞ 2000 pcs of art work. It is giving Bridgeton vibes. Location is perfect yet gives you the tranquil and peace. Eateries, cafes, massages can be found next door too. My little dismay is really the room, it can be refreshed a little to help travellers feel at ease, consider making it warmer and brighter.

  Dalat Palace Heritage Hotel is a historic 5-star luxury hotel in the heart of Da Lat, overlooking Xuan Huong Lake and within walking distance of the Da Lat Night Market and the city centre.||The room was spacious and clean. The bed was one of the biggest king-sized beds I have ever seen, seemingly made from two queen beds combined, and it was extremely comfortable.||Do note that you will need to bring your own adapter, as the power sockets beside the bed do not support UK 3-pin plugs. The minibar fridge was also not cold even when set to the maximum level. In the standing shower, there was no hand-held bidet spray and water tended to leak outside the shower door. The bathtub also did not come with a shower curtain. That said, the water pressure was acceptable and the hot water supply was consistent throughout the stay.||One area for improvement would be the carpet underneath the bed, which looked rather old and dusty. I also noticed that the housekeeping team did not vacuum the area during my stay.||As for breakfast, it was served à la carte, so the selection remained largely the same each day. Although there were not many varieties, the dishes were delicious and well prepared.||There is power outage lasting 3 seconds during my last night and there is no water in the morning which was fixed in 10mims. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a hotel worth trying at least once, especially for those who appreciate heritage charm and a prime location in Da Lat.
