  There is a huge coffee culture in Vietnam. There is a coffee shop on practically every block, some open 24 hours a day. I’ve been drinking a lot of the regular Vietnamese coffee, which is like espresso and is also served with condensed milk, either iced or hot. Both are delicious! We went to the highly rated Hoi An Roastery in the old city and I tried two different coffees: an iced coffee with coconut cream and egg coffee. Egg coffee is very similar to caffe crema in Italy. It’s thick and you eat it with a spoon. You start with a cup of strong Vietnamese coffee and then top it with a cream made by beating together egg yolks, sugar, and sweetened condensed milk. Egg coffee dates back to the 1940s when there were milk shortages It’s really more like a dessert than drinking coffee! Not that I’m complaining! PS Don’t bother with the croissants.

  Hoi An Roastery Espresso & Coffee House was one of my favorite coffee stops in Hoi An. The café has a beautiful old-town charm with its traditional wooden house exterior, cozy interior, and relaxing atmosphere right on the street. We tried a few different drinks, and everything was excellent. The Vietnamese phin coffee was rich, aromatic, and served in the classic drip setup, which made the experience feel authentic and special. Watching it slowly brew at the table added to the charm. The iced coconut coffee was absolutely delicious—creamy, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with the bold espresso. It was easily one of the best drinks we had in Vietnam. The latte was also smooth and well-made, with lovely foam and a comforting, mellow flavor. The café is a great place to take a break from walking around Hoi An, whether you want a strong local coffee or a more classic espresso drink. The setting is peaceful, service was friendly, and the drinks were beautifully presented. A must-visit spot for coffee lovers in Hoi An!

  I’ve been away from home for 4 weeks and CRAVING good coffee- I am so glad I found this place! I was so excited we ordered four types. We got the coconut ice cream coffee, the salted coffee (iced and hot) and I got an iced latte with fresh milk. I highly recommend the salted coffee- both hot and iced were delicious! The coconut coffee is better if you prefer a lighter coffee flavour. Kids enjoyed their smoothies too.

  We had a few really great cups of coffee here and walked away with 6 bags of beans to take home. The space is nicely decorated and relaxed and they have some foods and snacks on the menu as well. Service was great and friendly and nect time we visit we will definitely stop in for a cup or three.

  Omg, I love this place. The orange espresso is truly amazing with the heat. It’s lovely to cool off with a nice drink from the hot sun lol. Staff are super kind and attentive. I have been to both locations and they are both 💯!! Wonderful experience. I wish they sold stickers for my laptop :(

  I had a lovely time at Hoi An Roastery. I ordered a fresh coconut and a cinnamon roll, and both were absolutely delicious. The coconut was very fresh and refreshing, perfect for the warm weather in Hoi An. The cinnamon roll was soft, warm, and full of flavor. The café has a very cozy and relaxing atmosphere, which makes it a great place to sit down and enjoy your drink and dessert. The staff were also friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you’re visiting Hoi An and looking for a nice café to relax, I highly recommend this place. I would definitely come back again!

  Honestly, the coffee wasn't good. We ordered coconut coffee, could hardly taste the coffee. However, the chocolate drink was really good. Ambiance was also nice and staff are friendly.

  i was curious because of the many outlets they have all over Hoian. i expected a traditional vietnamese coffee and that part was right, but the coffee was honestly bad. the staff wasn't welcoming at all and no one even smiled. i might just be used to the friendly service everywhere else in hoi an. it is also very warm inside with no AC despite the higher price tag, and it wasn't even a hot day. a poor experience overall and i wouldn't return.
