Our hotel recommended the other hospital in Hoi An but after reading the reviews I decided to go here instead. I was very impressed at the treatment I got here for diarrhea and sickness. It was a Sunday so I had to go the A&E area. The 2 main doctors on duty both spoke excellent English and were calm and efficient. They saw me straight away, took my vitals quickly then set me up on a rehydration drip while they analysed my bloods. Approx 3 hours after arriving I left fully hydrated and with antibiotics and probiotic enzymes to help my gut lining heal. They take your passport to record your info and give it back once you've paid, along with full documentation of your results and medication. My bill came to just under 6 million dong (about £170).

During my three-month trip through Asia, I unexpectedly developed acute appendicitis, which was a huge shock for me. From the very first moment in the emergency room, however, I felt extremely well taken care of. Everything happened very quickly and professionally. An English-speaking assistant was provided immediately, and the medical team communicated transparently about the diagnosis, treatment, costs, and insurance procedures. This clarity helped reduce a lot of my fear in a very stressful situation. The surgery was performed using a modern technique and went very smoothly. After the operation, I stayed for four days in the international ward, where I received excellent care. The nurses were highly professional, incredibly kind, attentive, and always made sure I was comfortable and well informed. The medications and medical products used were from well-known international manufacturers, which gave me an additional sense of safety and trust. I truly felt that I was in very good hands throughout my entire stay. Meals could be ordered from a restaurant-style menu, and all billing matters were handled directly with my insurance, which made the whole experience much less stressful. Considering how unexpected and frightening this situation was, I am very grateful for the outstanding medical care, organization, and compassion I received. I can highly recommend this hospital, especially for international patients.

I visited this hospital for my medical care. As you can see my photos, they have this specific international department for all the international people. They are professional and efficient Of course, they support for English language speaking

I was admitted to the international ward with a severe stomach infection. The doctors were highly competent, and the nurses and staff were incredibly kind and caring. I received excellent care throughout my stay. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, I’ve developed a severe ear infection. The hospital has a dedicated international ward, where I was admitted straight away. It was all very straightforward. I was then referred to an ENT specialist, Dr Pham Nam Han, MD, was very polite and calm; he explained every step to me and also told me the cost involved at each stage, asking if I was happy with it (it was always $25). He tried to clean my ears carefully. Unfortunately, I had to go back the next day (it was a Sunday and only the A&E was open) as it needed further cleaning. Although the doctor wasn’t on duty, he was at the hospital within 20 minutes. Thanks again for the excellent care!

Not impressed by my second visit! I used this hospital 2 years ago for a broken wrist, and the A&E department were great. Attentive, kind and professional. I returned again today, but can't say the experience in the International clinic was of the same standard, sadly. After being in bed for several days with classic cold symptoms and a hacking chesty cough, I decided to have a chest x-ray done, having had a bad case of pneumonia 6 months ago, to check my lungs were OK, before flying. I was first there, but not seen until 20 mins after the official 1pm clinic start time, as the doctor was still at lunch. Not a great first impression. Doctor read my symptoms and agreed to order bloods and chest x-ray. When about to pay, I noticed a lot more tests on list than I felt necessary. I asked to talk to the doctor, and queried why so many tests, when I was feeling a lot better, and really only wanted to check lungs. I was confused why I was being tested for dengue fever, despite not having relevant symptoms. He responded with "You choose the tests you want", which I felt was a little petulant and unprofessional. If you order tests as a doctor, surely you can explain to me why I need them. He removed several tests and my bill was halved. Just because I have insurance doesn't mean hospitals should order unneeded tests, to bump up the bill. Bloods lady was great, X-ray was so-so (I was not asked to breath in, to expand lungs, and suddenly it was over!) and it appeared the top they asked me to change into, is reused by patients. The tests came back quickly, with only a 45 min wait, which is great. The lady that escorted me between departments was also wonderful. Saw doctor again, who just said all was ok, without showing me x-ray or bloods. He then told me he had prescribed meds, but was vague when I asked what some were. I mentioned I had forgotten to tell him I had ear pain, and asked if he could take a look. Doctor looked with a pen light, vaguely saying it was a bit red, but did not give a proper ear examination, or suggest why it was red. Reflecting on the visit once back at my hotel, I realise he did not look at my throat, check glands, listen to my chest (despite saying they sounded clear on my report,) as well as not do an ear examination, which are all standard for cold symptoms, yet wanted to order me a dengue fever test!? I have lived in Asia for over 20 years, and I have to say that was the most vague, disinterested doctors appointment I have had. The doctor was white (as am I), so I was expecting better communication and understanding, but it fell short. It felt more about adding to my insurance claim, which has left a bad taste. I also still have the ear pain! If it continues I'll definitely make the journey a little further to Da Nang, for more professional care. I would recommend the A&E department, as they were great when assisting with my broken wrist, and you are in safe hands with them. I won't however, be visiting the International Clinic in the future. I would head straight to DaNang.

This review is specifically for foreigners. I have received health care in many different parts of Vietnam; Ho Chi Minh, Vung Tau, Nha Trang, Hanoi, and Da Nang. This hospital has an intake/reception for foreigners. I speak enough Vietnamese to manage myself at a hospital. They still required me to use the foreigner reception and the minimum cost to see the Dr. for foreigners is 800,000. I understand wanting to charge foreigners more money, but to increase the price about (3X) three times as much as anywhere else in Vietnam is outrageous. I give 5 stars because the health care is good, and 0 for cost. So, 2 stars overall.

We were there to get our 2 year old son checked, because after high fever for a few days and cough for a few weeks, the cough got worse. So we were wondering, if he might get a bronchitis. The material they used didn’t get desinfected afterwards and they made a x-ray of the lungs. Without any protection for neither my son or my husband. Afterwards they told us (even if there was no fever anymore and the blood test were all fine) that he has a bronchitopneumosis. They recommended us 7 medications with 2 antibiotics. It surprised us, because our son seemed okay, the blood tests were fine and the cough hadn’t been so bad that the lungs might be infected. Afterwards we spoke to different other doctors. They all said that they couldn’t see anything on the x-ray picture and that an x-ray wouldn’t have been needed. That we got sent home with so many medications and also two different antibiotics after all measurements were actually fine, was dangerous! It feels like they just wanted our money as tourists and didn’t think about the health of a small kid! Very disappointing!
