  I had surgery at Vinmec Da Nang International Hospital, and from start to finish the level of care was outstanding. This review is for my GI surgeon Dr. Lộc (Bác sĩ Lộc – phẫu thuật tiêu hóa) and Nurse Chị Diệu (Điều dưỡng Diệu) who took care of me throughout the entire process. My situation started with a recurring infection in my belly button that had been happening since 2023. There would be bleeding, pus, and inflammation that kept coming back over and over. When I came to Vinmec for a consultation, Dr. Lộc immediately took the issue seriously. After examining me, he sent me for an ultrasound, then an MRI with contrast to get a definitive diagnosis. After reviewing the results and consulting with his colleagues, he explained clearly that there was a mass and opening in the umbilical area, and that surgery was necessary or the infection would continue to come back and get worse. I had never had surgery before, so I was nervous, but Dr. Lộc had a very calm and reassuring attitude that made me feel comfortable. The surgery went extremely well. I was actually able to walk the same day, and I even wanted to go home, but my doctor insisted I stay 24 hours for observation, which turned out to be the right decision because once the hospital medication wore off, the next couple days were not easy. The hospital room itself felt like a 5-star hotel. I chose the VIP room, which was only slightly more expensive than the regular room, but it gave extra space for my two aunts who flew in from SGN to stay with me and take care of me beside after surgery. Today, Friday March 20, 2026, I returned to have my stitches removed by Nurse Diệu, who has been helping me from the very beginning with blood work, paperwork, pre-op preparation, and coordinating with the anesthesia team. Everything went smoothly again. From the first consultation, to scans, to surgery, to post-op care, to stitch removal, the entire experience was professional and well organized. I am originally from the United States, and I say this honestly — I have received medical care both in the US military system and civilian hospitals, and the level of attention and patient care I experienced at Vinmec was better than anything I have personally experienced in the US. Over the years in the US, I went to multiple hospitals for this same belly button problem, and every time it was treated as just a simple infection. No one wanted to do imaging or look deeper to find the real cause. Because of past experiences like that, I decided to do my surgery here in Vietnam instead of going back to the US. Another thing worth mentioning is the cost. From the first visit, to scans, MRI, labs, surgery, anesthesia, hospital stay, medication, and follow-up, my total out-of-pocket cost was about $2,000 USD without insurance. In the US, I have been charged more than that just for ER visits where nothing was even found. For the level of care I received here, the value was incredible. Thank you to Dr. Lộc, Nurse Diệu, and the entire Vinmec Da Nang team. From A to Z, this was a 5-star experience.

  I will be forever grateful to the doctors, nurses and emergency staff. The professional skills, kindness and patience of the staff on level four, with particular mention of Phuong, ensured my speedy recovery. As a traveller to Vietnam I do not speak Vietnamese and was worried the communication barrier would cause an issue. However many of the nurses spoke enough English to communicate with ease. The room was spotless and equipped with high quality medical equipment. I would not hesitate to return to this hospital, ironically I really hope I don't need to. A huge thanks to you all. ❤️❤️

  An outstanding hospital! I was treated at the Vinmec Klinik for a pneumothorax by Dr. Loc and Dr. Trong and nurses Nguyen Thi Tam, Phuong Thach , . The entire staff and the doctors are incredibly kind, and the level of care is fantastic. My chest tube was placed expertly and removed safely today after four days. I am so happy and thankful that I was in such great hands here. Highly recommended

  I can’t recommend this hotel enough – it’s hands-down one of the best stays I’ve had on my travels! The location is perfection, right in the heart of the action with easy access to all the top spots, shops, and eateries, yet still peaceful enough for a great night’s sleep. What truly sets this place apart is the amazing service and incredibly friendly staff. Everything was spotless – the rooms, common areas, you name it – with top-notch facilities that made my stay feel luxurious. Loved the free coffee and tea setup (endless refills!), complimentary laundry service, and all the thoughtful extras that made life so convenient. A massive shoutout to Phu, the staff member who made this trip unforgettable. He was extremely helpful, going way out of his way to assist with everything from local recommendations to sorting out a last-minute request. Phu’s warmth, efficiency, and genuine care turned a great hotel into an exceptional one. If I return to this city, it’ll be solely because of him – he’s the reason I’ll be booking here again! Thank you for an outstanding experience!

  I would like to sincerely thank the medical team and staff for the excellent care I received during my stay on the 9th floor. In particular, the nurses who were directly in charge of my care — Nurse Tran Thuy Huy, Nguyen Thi Tam, Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Bui Van Tuan, and Do Thi Phuong Thach — were kind, attentive, and professional. They explained everything clearly, responded quickly whenever I needed help, and made me feel comfortable and well cared for. I am also very grateful to the emergency room doctor, Dr. Hoang Duc Vinh, for his professionalism and thoughtful care when I first arrived through the ER, as well as to Dr. Duong Xuan Loc for the accurate examinations and successful surgery, which gave me great confidence and peace of mind. The hospital facilities were clean, modern, and very well maintained. The overall service was excellent, and I would also like to thank the cleaning staff for keeping the environment consistently clean and comfortable. In addition, the meal service staff were kind and attentive, and the meals were surprisingly good, which made my recovery much easier. As a foreign patient, I truly appreciated the professionalism, efficiency, and warm care I received from everyone. This positive experience was especially meaningful, as it was my first hospitalization and surgery abroad, and I am sharing this review in the hope that it will be helpful to future patients. Thank you to the entire team for such a positive hospital experience.

  Absolutely amazing experience, thank you so so much!! I came into the emergency room in agony with my toe, they were able to do a procedure straight away, did lab tests to make sure I was on the right antibiotics. Unfortunately the antibiotics I was put on my body didn’t respond well to, so I had to have another emergency procedure with Dr Trong. He was absolutely incredible, completely put me at ease, and had a medical translator come in to explain everything from start to finish. I was in and out of the hospital for about a month, getting dressing changes and having to have tissue cut everyday - nurse Nguyen Thi Thao on the second floor was absolutely amazing. She was such a lovely person, really calmed me down when I was in a lot of pain and knew exactly what she was doing. Other patients in the waiting area were also singing her praises too Everything was so affordable, and they’ve even helped me with documentation for my travel insurance company post procedures and post leaving the country too. If it wasn’t for the friendliness, customer service and knowledge of the hospital & staff, I really don’t know what I would have done! Being stranded in a foreign country with an injury on your own is never great, and the staff really made me feel so much more at ease. THANK YOU!!!

Surgery was beginning to feel inevitable. After a thorough evaluation, I was referred to the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Department, where Nguyen Diep created a structured, hands-on treatment plan for my rotator cuff injury. After five weeks of consistent therapy, my shoulder is moving again — without surgery. Nguyen Diep has eight years of experience at Vinmec and works with both inpatient and outpatient cases. His clinical skill, professionalism, and positive energy stood out immediately. Physical therapy is not painless, but his constant encouragement — and sense of humor — made the process far easier. English communication was smooth, translation was available when needed, and scheduling through WhatsApp was simple and efficient. The Physical Therapy team at Vinmec delivers high-quality, results-driven care in a modern, well-run hospital environment. I strongly recommend this department to anyone needing expert rehabilitation for frozen shoulder or rotator cuff injuries

  I wish to personally thank all the staff in Vinmec for being so professional and kind. Specifically I wish to mention Ms. RITA, the interpreter for helping me book the appointment so quickly and being so professional, and the nurse Ms. NGUYEN THI THU TRANG. She was so kind and carrying. And finaly Dr Luc, who came on Sunday morning to ask how I was doing. Such a nice experience. Thank you 😊 🙏
