Beautiful resort with fantastic facilities, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The only area that could be improved is the in-room entertainment. The TVs do not offer streaming services such as Netflix, Prime Video, or similar platforms, which would make relaxing in the room even more enjoyable after a long day. Apart from that, everything was excellent and highly recommended.

I had such a fantastic four-day stay at the Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & Spa and genuinely couldn’t recommend it highly enough. A very special mention has to go to Kenny, the Director of Sales and Marketing. Kenny was incredibly professional, kind, warm and welcoming throughout my visit. He went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying my stay, and his genuine hospitality made a huge difference to the whole experience. Kenny and his sales team were absolutely wonderful and are a real credit to the hotel. The resort itself is beautiful. The swimming pool is excellent, the beach is quiet and peaceful, and everything is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very generous in size. I also had a great experience at the spa, where the service was once again excellent. Overall, this was a really relaxing and enjoyable stay. The hotel is beautiful, but what really stood out was the warmth and professionalism of the people. I’m already looking forward to returning

A classic resort with an absolutely fantastic pool area. The pool is 250 meters long, grand and comfortable. It could use some renovation, as some of the tiles were loose, but the overall impression is impressive. The beds are the most comfortable we've experienced in Asia. The staff were friendly and breakfast was very good, though again a bit cramped. We tried the restaurants in the evening, which are among the only options on site, and it was nearly empty. Understandable given the price level: roughly double what you'd pay outside the resort. The food was good, but you feel the price. This is a typical resort with little to do just outside the gates. It's about 25 minutes by car to both Da Nang and Hoi An, but it's very easy to book transport via Grab. A great base if you want quiet, a pool and comfort, but be prepared for resort prices and needing a car to explore the area.

I stayed at the Sheraton Grand Danang from January 1 to January 6, 2026. Below are my observations on the positives and areas for improvement. As with my other reviews, my final rating is influenced heavily by the quality of staff interactions, particularly as a loyal elite member. Positive Highlights The hotel upgraded one of my two bookings to a suite with an ocean view and placed the second room next to it with a partial ocean view, which was very convenient for our family. Hung checked us in at the elite desk and was extremely helpful. He accommodated my request for an additional bed in the suite with a warm and professional attitude. He is one of the reason I gave the hotel 3 stars (otherwise it would be 1). I particularly enjoyed the room design, especially the high ceilings. Even the standard room with a partial ocean view felt quite spacious compared to standard rooms at many other hotels. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of items, including many local dishes, and the overall food quality is very good. The resort itself is beautifully situated along the ocean, with lovely views and a relaxing atmosphere. Areas for Improvement The breakfast area is consistently very crowded and can feel chaotic during peak hours. I would recommend arriving early in the morning for a more pleasant experience. The beach area could benefit from more regular cleaning. Unlike some other beach resorts in Vietnam (such as the Marriott Nha Trang Resort & Spa), debris was often present on the beach, requiring guests to be cautious when walking barefoot. One concern during breakfast was the way guests were seated and greeted. On multiple mornings, it appeared that attention and assistance from the lady in black/dark-blue suite (seems to me she was the breakfast area manager) were disproportionately directed toward Western guests, regardless of loyalty status (I didn't bother to find out her name though I could). As a current ambassador member and life-time platinum member, this was disappointing to observe. This hotel does not seem to care about elite members.

Our first impression of the Sheraton was unfortunately far below expectations. The check-in itself was friendly and quick, however the handling of Marriott/American Express Platinum benefits was very unusual for an international 5-star hotel. At Marriott properties around the world, staff normally at least check internally whether a small upgrade or late check-out is available. Here, everything was rejected immediately without even asking anyone or checking availability. Even if nothing had been available, this could have been handled in a far more professional and welcoming way. Right after check-in, we were also informed that there would be a large wedding event with stage equipment, music, and potential noise disturbances — despite the fact that we specifically called before booking to ask whether any events were taking place and were told there would be none. Since we chose this hotel mainly because of the beautiful pool, beach atmosphere, and the idea of having a relaxing family weekend, this was obviously very disappointing. The room itself unfortunately feels extremely impersonal and empty. No small welcome note, no thoughtful touch, not even cold water in the room — despite the rather high deposit required at check-in. On top of that, there are several technical issues: the toilet spray is not functioning properly, the shower pressure is extremely weak, and the shower head itself appears damaged. For a hotel in this price range and category, the overall experience simply does not match what one would expect from a 5-star Sheraton property. What makes this even more surprising are the many very positive reviews, which based on our current experience are difficult to fully understand. Perhaps the suites or higher room categories offer a significantly better experience, but our current stay in a booked pool-view room on a higher floor honestly feels closer to an average 3-star hotel than an international luxury standard. It is especially unfortunate because the property itself actually has a lot of potential. But at the moment, there are clearly many areas that require serious improvement.

They should be grateful this hotel isn’t operating in the United States. This incident was serious enough to warrant an astronomical lawsuit, yet their response was incredibly pathetic. I was trying to get out of a kayak when my swimsuit bottoms got caught on a bolt embedded in the kayak, leaving me dangling and submerged in the water. One of my legs was completely trapped, making it impossible to get down. If the water had been just a little deeper, I could have drowned. I took photos of my bruised leg, the torn swimsuit, and the kayak, and went to the reception. They apologized but claimed they couldn't help because the swimsuit was already torn and couldn't be repaired (I literally showed them the receipt; it was a full-price item bought in the U.S. for nearly $100). Instead, they offered a late checkout and an airport ride service that I didn't even need (even if you call a 7-seater taxi, it only costs around 150k to 200k VND). My swimsuit alone is worth about 2.5 million VND (bought at Lululemon in the United States), but when I demanded compensation for it, they refused. I stopped arguing as they seemed to be determined, and I didn't want to be considered as a complaining customer. Furthermore, they promised to take action to prevent this from happening again, yet that exact same kayak was being used without a care for the next two days. No further responses were made regarding this during the stay. During this trip, I stayed at 5-star hotels in Hanoi and Da Nang for about 25 days. Meliá Hanoi had the absolute best hospitality (a cockroach appeared in my room and I only asked for a room change, but they upgraded my room the next day, sent an apology letter, and even provided fruits and premium chocolates). Here, nothing except for the late checkout and a transportation service I did not ask for. The staff at hotels in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Hoi A Memories always greet you when they pass by, but the staff here literally ignore you and don't even greet you.

Our organisation held its Annual Convention at the Sheraton last week. The hotel is superb. It's modern, clean, has a couple of great restaurants and bars, delicious cuisine, beautiful pool, comfy bed and pillows, is well located for a taxi cab rides into Da Nang city and beach or old Hoi An town. The staff are particularly happy and very, very helpful. Two ladies at the Reception & Concierge Desks, Miss Lan and Miss Nhung went out of their way to help me with recommendations for places to eat/drink and places to visit. They helped me make bookings and were at ease using my phone to speak to tour operators when language was a barrier. My huge thanks to Miss Lan & Miss Nhung and the General Management for a wonderful holiday. I'll definitely stay there again on next visit.

My stay at Sheraton Grand Danang Resort was overall a fantastic experience, with just one notable drawback. The room was excellent—spacious, comfortable, and well-designed, making it a perfect place to relax after a long day. Everything felt modern and well-maintained, which added to the overall comfort of the stay. What really stood out was the staff. They were consistently polite, attentive, and genuinely helpful. From check-in to daily interactions, their professionalism and warmth made a big difference.Breakfast was another highlight—absolutely amazing. There was a wide variety of options, all fresh and delicious. It’s one of those breakfasts you actually look forward to every morning.A small but important detail: the water pressure in the bathroom was very strong, which made showers especially enjoyable—something not every hotel gets right. The resort itself is very clean and well-kept. One of its standout features is the incredibly long swimming pool—stretching nearly 250 meters—which is perfect for both relaxation and serious swimming. We specifically chose to stay a bit far from the city to enjoy a calm, peaceful beach. However, this was where the experience fell short. The beach in front of the resort has suffered significant erosion, and the slope is very steep, making it difficult—and essentially impossible—to use comfortably. This was quite disappointing, especially given the beachfront location.Overall, despite the beach issue, the resort still delivers a high-quality experience with great rooms, excellent service, and top-tier amenities. I would still recommend it for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Da Nang—just not if a swimmable beach is your priority.
