I’ve been here many times for their hot Masala Tea, but this was my first time trying a proper dinner, and it was a pleasant surprise. The standout dish was definitely the Butter Chicken Masala. Rich, creamy, flavorful, and easily the best thing we ordered. The Garlic Naan was also excellent, freshly baked, with soft and also crispy texture, and perfect for dipping into the curry 🤌🏽 The Tomato Soup was just average and didn’t look quite like the photo on the menu. On the other hand, the Teh Tarik was very good. It had a strong tea flavor and wasn’t overly sweet, exactly how I like it. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and comfortable. There is both an air-conditioned indoor dining area and a pleasant outdoor courtyard. When the restaurant gets busy, the indoor section can become a bit smelly from the food, so if you’re sensitive to smells, the outdoor seating is a better choice. The location is convenient, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming. I came expecting just a decent meal, but the food exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be back for the Butter Chicken Masala.

This place is a GEM 💎 We used to only order masala chai in the past. Today we had dinner here and it exceeded our expectation 🫶 🍽️ We ordered Teh Tarik, Garlic Naan, Butter Chicken, Banana & Chocolate Roti. Everything was 🤌 and done so quickly! 🛋️ Dining space is spacious. Outdoor space is breezy. Indoor space has aircon. 🧑‍💼 Staffs are nice and friendly, good understanding of Indian cuisine and Vietnamese taste preference :) 💰 Pricing is good. Really worth the money. Thanks for the experience!

I have visited numerous Indian restaurants in Da Nang, among which Mama Masala distinguishes itself. I commend all facets of this establishment, from the authentic flavour of its dishes to the tenderness of the mutton, which reflects a level of care comparable to that of parental figures, particularly within Asian cultures. The lassi is sufficiently sweet without being excessively sugary, and the vegetable platter exhibits expertise and meticulous attention to detail. Furthermore, the naan is exceptionally flavorful. A slight bitterness was noted from the dark crust, although it was minimal. The service is exemplary; staff members provided thorough explanations, which were particularly important as my vegetarian diet, ensuring we avoided any misunderstandings. The owner is also notably friendly and helpful. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Finding good Indian food abroad is always a quiet anxiety for travelling families — especially when you are a group spanning two generations, each with their own tastes, moods, and expectations of what dinner should feel like. Da Nang had charmed us with its beaches and its energy, but after several days of beautiful Vietnamese cuisine, the parents in our group were beginning to gently yearn for something closer to home. Enter **Mama Masala** — and with it, an evening that quietly became one of the highlights of the entire trip. We came as a family of six from Kolkata — parents and their adult children, the kind of group where everyone has an opinion about the food and no one is shy about sharing it. We walked in, found a warm welcome waiting, and immediately felt the particular relief of knowing we had chosen well. **The host is the soul of this place.** Genuinely warm rather than professionally polite, he has the rare gift of making a table of six feel personally looked after without ever being overbearing. Spice levels were discussed, preferences noted, and the parents in our group — who have strong views on what a good curry should taste like — were put at ease immediately. That attentiveness never wavered through the entire meal. The supporting team matches that energy perfectly. Efficient, cheerful, and wonderfully **accommodating** — nothing felt like too much trouble. Extra rotis, adjustments to the menu, the gentle management of a group that couldn't quite agree on how many dishes to order — all handled with good humour and grace. The food delivers exactly what it promises and then a little more. **Mama Masala's menu travels confidently across Indian regional cuisine** — rich North Indian gravies, well-crafted dals, fragrant rice preparations, and freshly made breads that cover enough ground to satisfy every preference around a multi-generational table. The flavours are honest and generous — deeply spiced but never reckless, the kind of cooking that tastes like someone in that kitchen actually cares about the outcome. And the value is exceptional. For a family of six eating with genuine appetite in a tourist city, the bill was refreshingly kind. No compromises were made on quantity or quality — Mama Masala simply believes that good Indian food shouldn't cost a small fortune, and the menu reflects that belief throughout. *Some restaurants feed you. Mama Masala feeds you and makes you feel welcome while doing it — a combination rarer than it should be. For a Kolkata family a long way from home, that made all the difference.* **Warmly and wholeheartedly recommended for any Indian family passing through Da Nang.** *— A family of six, visiting from Kolkata* 🇮🇳

One of the tastiest food we ate during our trip to Vietnam was here. The ambience is good. The service is much better. Wynk people are also very humble. Especially the South Indian food. They serve here is very very authentic and if you are missing South Indian food, please visit this place.

Hot garlic chicken and chicken tikka masala were both amazing! It smelled so good we forgot to take a picture before we started eating. Tasted so good we just had to add one after we bagan. The wait staff was fantastic and the owner was very friendly. We will be back again before we leave! EDIT: We did go back. Had the Chicken Biryani and it was fantastic, too. As delightful as our first visit.

I am here in DaNang from last 2 years. And trust me it's one of the best. Only authentic South Indian food owned restaurant in DaNang as far as I know. Affordable, reasonable price. No compromise in taste. Their north menus are good too. Their must try - Chicken Biryani, Veg Thali, moong dal halwa, garlic nan, rumali roti, mushroom curry, Chicken chettinadu, ckn tandoori, sambar sadam,....... Their are our favourite....you can try much more from their huge menu. Even the staff is friendly and the owners are very caring towards their customers. If you need any change please ask them.....they are very considerate.....ever in DaNang....try "Mama masala"without any doubt

I stayed at Fivitel Danang and had dinner at Mama Masala Indian Cuisine, which is located nearby. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and the staff were very attentive. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, and a fresh carrot juice. The curry had deep, rich flavor and the garlic naan was perfectly baked with great aroma. Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh. One thing to note: the music at first was traditional Indian music. While I understand it’s an Indian restaurant, since this location is outside India, I felt a more international playlist might suit the atmosphere better. I actually considered leaving because of the music, but one of the staff seemed to notice and turned it off, which I appreciated. Overall, the food and service were excellent, and I would still recommend this place if you are staying near Fivitel Danang or in the Son Tra area.
