Randomly walked into this Laotian food restaurant for a late lunch when we arrived in Dong Hoi. Turned out to be a satisfying meal. We tried the seno grilled chicken and beef lap (beef salad with tons of herbs). Both were delicious. The sticky rice was also well cooked. Fresh crunchy veggies and several sauces were offered with the dishes. We thought we could handle spicy food so didn’t ask to reduce the amount of chilies in the lap so it was too spicy, but you could ask them to put less chili pepper.

I decided to eat here as it was close to my hotel. Had beef noodles and a couple of beef skewers. The portions were very large and the food was delicious. Good service as well and very close to the river. The only downside is that the menu was not in English, so i had to use Chat GPT to translate. If you are staying in Dong Hoi this is a great place to eat.

This place pleasantly surprised me. It was clean and welcoming, offering delicious, authentic Laos food. The portion of the soup was huge, likely enough for three people to share. During my short stopover in Dong Hoi, this spot was recommended by locals, and it did not disappoint. The menu isn’t extensive, which is a good sign as it ensures freshly cooked meals. The staff doesn’t speak English, but with the help of locals, I managed to order without any issues. Overall, it’s a great choice for anyone seeking quality food and a friendly atmosphere.

Excellent food and cold, cold Lao beer. I had beef skewers and a papaya salad with all the trimmings. Spicy and delicious. Yum.

Nice local restaurant, traditional Lao cuisine.

I came here out of desperation as I could not find anything else open when I arrived. In Dong Hoi. The Place doesn’t look like very much from the outside and it isn’t much on the inside either – there isn’t even a way to wash your hands aside from the spigot in the toilet. On the other hand , the waitress was very helpful and the barbecue pork belly and sticky rice that I had was fantastic. The food being eaten by the people near me also looked quite good.

After spending two weeks in Vietnam I was craving something spicy. I managed to find a Laos restaurant here in Dong Hoi on a small back street. We ordered papaya salad, Grilled beef and grilled chicken and had sticky rice to go with it. The star of the show was the som tam, so much so that I didn’t want to share and wanted my own. The beef was tasty but slightly tough. Chicken was good, but not much meat on it. Overall I would come back for the som tam and sticky rice.

Great that they have Bia Lao! Had a beef laab but unfortunately the first bite had a 20cm long black hair. Was tasty, but hard to forget the first bite. Sticky rice was good.
