What a wonderful hotel and staff. Property is very clean, has a delicious breakfast and the staff (particularly Phuong) is amazing. Phuong welcomed us with very pleasant greeting and also checked us out. Our room was decorated for our anniversary which was a very nice touch. Such a wonderful employee. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for one night and had a pleasant experience. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff were very fast and accommodating when our fridge was not working. A special thank you to Hoa, who helped us book a taxi to Ninh Binh. She was incredibly useful, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. The other staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel.

We looked for a place to stay before and after our day cruise in ha long bay, and we were so lucky to find about DeLaSea. Our room had amazing views of the ocean and we could just lay back and relax at the pool. We would like to thank Phuong for welcoming us to the hotel and answering all of our questions. Also, we would like to thank Hoa for arranging a private car for us to our flight from Hanoi and helping us have a smooth checkout. Would definitely come back here again!

We stayed at DeLaSea Hotel in Halong Bay this time in Vietnam. The hotel was amazing! The room was beautiful and clean and spacious as well, and the staff was really friendly. We also had dinner one night at the hotel, and the food, especially their pho, was really yummy.

I recently booked a last-minute stay at DelaSea Hotel, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the service and experience. My booking was made around 4 PM on the same day of my arrival, and I reached out to the hotel to arrange a taxi from Hanoi. The coordination was seamless, and they handled everything efficiently. We arrived at the hotel in the early hours, around 2 AM, and were relieved to find that the room was incredibly quiet. It provided the perfect sanctuary for us to get a few hours of much-needed rest before our departure for a cruise. The following morning, we enjoyed breakfast, which was a lovely way to start the day. Though our stay was brief, the hospitality and comfort at DelaSea Hotel left a lasting impression. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our quick stop feel warm and welcoming. In summary, DelaSea Hotel is an excellent option for travelers looking for convenience and comfort, especially for those needing a restful place before heading out on an adventure. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and accommodating staff!

The property was comfortable and had great views. The breakfast was poor, we agreed a late checkout of 1pm and they rang at 12:20 telling us to get out, the restaurant in the evening is non existent. This is a great place for a room only. If you’re planning a stay in Ha Long City honestly just don’t bother. It’s frustrating awful. You will read reviews and arrive at locations only for the business to be closed over and over again. It’s truly miserable

If I’m being completely honest, this place would get like a 2/5, or maybe even 3/5 from me if it wasn’t for a few important factors. First let me start with the few positives. The rooms and sea view are genuinely quite nice, and generally the hotel is clean and comfortable in many ways. However, there are a lot of reasons I could not recommend anyone stay here. Some are completely the fault of the hotel, and admittedly some aren’t. But, I feel as though it’s necessary to still list these reasons as they do affect your stay. First, this absolutely is NOT a 5 star hotel, by any stretch of the imagination. We arrived, and the hotel was practically empty (which I’ll discuss later), but there were ample staff to welcome us. Only, they didn’t. The staff on the front desk were, at best serviceable for a 3 star hotel, but were far from the friendly, warm, and helpful experience you’d expect checking into a 5 star hotel. This was a theme that carried on for our 2 night stay, no staff we encountered were particularly friendly or helpful. No one offered to carry out bags, and when we brought up complaints about food, they acted as if it was normal here and didn’t seem to care. Secondly, the hotels amenities that are listed, whilst present, are borderline unusable. The pool is genuinely freezing, and we couldn’t bring ourselves to get in. It’s clearly meant to be heated, but probably never is due to lack of guests. Moreover, the spa is not a spa, it’s just overpriced massages that we didn’t bother with as the staff member on the desk was incredibly dismissive and rude. And don’t even get me started on the food. We ate in the restaurant on the first night as the surrounding area is completely dead, with one or two overpriced hotel restaurants your only other options. The food in the hotel restaurant at De La Sea, was not only baron of anyone for our whole stay, but also was genuinely the worst food I’ve had anywhere in a hotel. The bread for the chicken sandwich and garlic bread were completely stale and old, the soup was completely flavourless and cold, and the spaghetti was bang average at best. Baring in mind, me and my partner were the only people in the restaurant and all of this still took nearly an hour to arrive. Genuinely disgraceful for a 5 star hotel. Lastly, whilst this isn’t entirely the fault of the hotel, unbeknown to us, Ha Long City is a complete ghost town. Hardly anyone stays here, and it’s almost unnerving. There are next to no food options, or busy bars to feel, slightly more normal. So, to any tourists looking to stay at this ‘5 star hotel’ at a cheap price, in a location you’d presume to be busy, please reconsider and don’t make the mistake we did. If you want to see Ha Long just do a boat cruise and avoid this ghost town city, and poor hotel experience.

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous view and comfortable bed. Phuong, the front desk manager was EXCELLENT and deserves to be mentioned for helping us out with high efficiency. We booked a cruise on short notice and then learned that the Port Authority needs to receive your passport information at least 3 days before you sail. Phuong dealt with the whole situation for us and was happy to help - thank you Phuong!2 Other front desk staff, due to the language barrier, caused us problems. We asked them to put directions into Grab so we could get to the night market and to our cruise ship the next day. Well instead of the night market, we were dropped off in some obscure part of Halong City and the ride to the cruise ship was incorrect too, causing us to pay a double fare and had to whatsapp the cruise manager to talk to the grab driver. Many westerners don’t speak Vietnamese, so it is really helpful when reception can at least speak some English, particularly when we need assistance with directions.
