  What a beautiful hotel. It is everything and more than I had hoped! You may well need to book in advance during peak season. You won’t regret it!

  Price is very reasonable. The rooms and decor are a little outdated but still very nice. The beds are a little hard. King bed is actually 2 twins put together. Water for shower was great. Nice small balcony. A/C and heat worked great. There's an extra fan in the room if needed. Plants are everywhere which gives a nice vibe. Koi fish in front of hotel and also in the smoking room are also nice. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food in restaurant is good and affordable. They also have a nice wine bar and liquor selection and nice music to set the mood. Location is not far from the waterfront. There are plenty of cafes and other restaurants nearby. You need ask for an extra room key if you want one.

  We had a decent stay at the Draha Hotel in Halong Bay. While the rooms were clean, we found them to be quite noisy, which made it difficult to get a restful night's sleep. However, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, which made our stay more enjoyable. They went out of their way to assist us with any needs we had during our stay. Overall, we would recommend the Draha Hotel for its helpful staff and cleanliness, but suggest bringing earplugs to ensure a peaceful night's sleep.

  The view from the hotel room was insane and the room facilities were good BUT we had a massive cockroach in our room, the room was not cleaned properly, the room smelled like fish, you can tell that the hotel is still under construction. You can find things like missing skirting boards or furniture parts. The water in the shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold. Last but not least we booked our hotel room with breakfast and they still charged us for it. We wanted to explain them that breakfast was included in our room rate but due to the fact that they don't speak English noone understood our problem. We stayed in the hotel for three days and couldn't find one staff person that spoke good English.

  This hotel is not only dangerous it is impossible to sleep in. Restaurant down stairs has my room on the third floor smelling like fish sauce(not that I don't like it on my food just not my nose 24/7) then there is the constant clatter of pots and pans being thrown around, blasting music and cooks screaming starting at 5am. Balcony garden to look at mountains on roof looks like it hasn't been fixed in 30+ years. Nails sticking up, missing boards, rotten boards. I stepped through the floor (sober) last night and seriously injured my ankle and knee. Never stay here unless you want to piss away you're money or get no sleep an a tetinis injection. Many better hotel choices very close by. God speed my fellow travelers.

  Calm and nice area with lot of flowers and trees (billiard club very close). Minor issue with the room but we got upgraded so can t complain. Staff was very kind, wifi was fast and room comfortable. Pleasant stay. (Picture taken from the room)

  When we arrived the check in process was easy and the staff were really helpful and nice. We got into the room and were immediately greeted by a putrid smell of sewage or fish. We had just got in from a 9hr long bus journey so really wanted a shower however, the towels were dirty. The door would not lock and we had no hand soap either. We went down to reception to ask for a new room, which we were given straight away. The new room was much better although still no hand soap and the door did not lock. Food wise, the hotel only serves breakfast and lunch, which is very limited. Apart from this there is one hotpot place on the corner by the hotel but no other food places around for a good 30 minutes walk. We went on a day trip to Bai Chay beach which was around a 15 minute drive away, and it was completely empty- not another soul in sight for the whole 5 hours we were there and again with no food around. If staying in Halong I recommend staying on the Bai Chay side of the bridge instead of Hong Gai as it is very out the way of most things. The area is lovely and very well built, just the lack of places to eat made it difficult. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful.

  Our stay here was first class and the rooms and food was exception the staff are the best you will find anywhere and go way above and beyond of what can be expected. What was truely amazing was the care and love shown to us on our last day. We had an unfortunate incident of having our backpack stolen.Inside contained all our money,visas phones credit cards and passports.The staff member assisted us in our communication with the police. The local community assisted with video footage and statements and posted the details on line. Within hours the Police had apprehended the man. Wuy from Draha hotel stayed with us for over eight hours communicating with the police and documentation. Wuy provided us with food and drink during the time and the Manger arrived and would not leave until we had finished with the Police. The exceptional care and concern from the Manger and staff truely needs to be recognised by the community Travel industry of Vietnam.
