  This is probably the most beautiful resort I have stayed at. It is located at the top of Ha Long overlooking both the bay and the rest of the city. The staff are very helpful in regards to any requests. The room was quite large and accommodating with an amazing view of the bay. The buffet breakfast also was very accommodating and had various options to choose from including both vietnamese and western options. Situated in the middle of the golf course, can’t complain with this resort, if you get a chance play the course also as it has amazing views of the surrounding area.

  Location and facilities are top class and the view is spectacular. However, service and attentiveness from staff is lacking. It was common to find the staff on their phones (reception, breakfast area, you name it) and not reacting to guests appropriately. The staff did not seem eager to help, appeared very bored, and pretty much any request was met with "that costs extra" which seems a bit cheap for a 5-star hotel. The information about opening hours of the pool and gym were inaccurate, the outdoor pool was cold and quite dirty. The outstanding exception to this was the staff in the Olive restaurant on the second floor. Here we were met with kindness, attentiveness and service of top quality. Most of all Daniel stood out as one of the best employees that I have ever met in any hotel. If the entire hotel lived up to the service, attentiveness and kindness of Daniel, the experience of staying there would be beyond 5 stars.

  Stayed at FLC Ha Long Bay for a couple of nights prior to our overnight cruise. The staff were wonderful extremely polite and so friendly also well trained and the golf course is amazing. They only had 1 restaurant open for evening meals which was fine, had 2 lovely meals. The hotel needs alot of attention for an advertised 5 star establishment, our safe was broken which was replaced and travelling friends fridge did not work which was also replaced. The linen was well worn and the room was very big but the carpet that surrounded the bed was very stained and dirty not sure if it had been vacuumed for some time. It also lacked a few items like face washer, moisturiser just the small things I know but it's what is expected of a ***** star hotel. Overall I enjoyed our stay but this Hotel needs to be maintained. I would possibly look elsewhere next time.

  We had a wonderful 4-day stay at FLC Ha Long Bay Hotel during our visit to Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. My wife and I were there for both leisure and to attend an event at the convention centre, and the overall experience was excellent.||What made our stay truly special was the extra effort shown by the staff. As we were among the only Indian guests, the chefs kindly went the extra mile to prepare vegetarian breakfast dishes for us. The food was simply amazing, and we sincerely appreciate the care and thoughtfulness shown by Chef Rakesh, Chef Omkar and Chef Lucky.||A special mention also goes to Daniel Jacob, the Restaurant Manager, who consistently checked on us and asked if we needed anything extra. His warm and attentive service made our stay exceptionally pleasant.||Honestly, congratulations to the team for such outstanding hospitality. I hope this review reaches the top management, because staff like these truly deserve to be recognised. Their service made our stay memorable, and we would be happy to return again.

  Always one of my most favourite resorts! Beautiful style and lovely rooms, great pool, awesome location and the best views on the beautiful side of Halong. Very clean! Fantastic value and amazing and friendly staff with an awesome breakfast buffet. Thank you as always to Vinny the GM and his awesome team at FLC Halong!

  Spacious room over-looking the golf course and out onto the bay, personalised for us by rose petals to help us celebrate an anniversary. |Breakfast buffet was vast, but tasty, with egg and waffle fresh cooking stations. Seating for 900 people, with 1,000 covers expected for the Sunday am we were there!|Great laundry service - speedy and value for money.|Olive restaurant scared us a little with its large, eclectic menu - billed as an Italian, and the seafood risotto was pretty good, however the mutton biryani was delicious. A big thank you to Daniel, the restaurant manager, for his attentive and diligent hospitality.|Hotel loses a star for the use of single use plastics, especially water bottles in restaurants and rooms

  I was genuinely amazed by my stay at FLC Ha Long. My room was huge, beautifully designed, surprisingly affordable, and offered a jaw‑dropping view over the UNESCO World Heritage listed Ha Long Bay - an unforgettable sight to wake up to.|The service was exceptional across the entire property, from the friendly, attentive staff to the impressive food and beverage options. The scale of the hotel is remarkable, featuring a golf course, conference centre, indoor and outdoor pools, and relaxing wellness spaces - everything a traveller could want in one place.|A special mention goes to Vinny, the General Manager, whose outstanding hospitality sets the tone for a truly world‑class team.|I left completely impressed and highly recommend FLC Ha Long to any traveller looking for comfort, value, and a memorable Ha Long experience.

  Rooms are massive and spacious. Despite it being a old hotel, it remains well maintained. Buffet breakfast area is large and the selections are varied. It is connected to the golf club and golfers will be transported by electric buggies. As it is located on elevated grounds, it is easier to get in n out of the hotel via taxi or private car.
