It's an awesome hotel with a spectacular view overlooking the limestone mountains. More photos for awesome breakfast to follow

It is a little far off from everything but the location is very beautiful. The beach view rooms are not inexpensive for vietnam (1.4million dong for the VIP room) but really big and with a small balkony. Beautiful just to enjoy the view there. As if you were on a boat trip in the halong bay. Breakfast was nice and the staff friendly. We also did eat once there for lunch. It was good and i can recommend it. Only problem was that they charged a 2% Visa fee.. Happens a lot in Vietnam but simply is not right. Still i can recommend this hotel if you want to get a little bit off from the main tourism area and have a wonderful view.

$30/ night is reasonable. I spent a night there 1 year a ago. Room was clean, staffs were friendly but the mattress was so hard. Sincerely, I work near this hotel and I found that they have a massage and sauna service. My friend, a foreigner who went here to use the massage service that most of the staffs can not speak English. The service is good enough.

Royal Halong is a Taiwainese style hotel. The staffs are friendly and useful. The lobby is so large and beautiful. The rooms are clean, large and modern. There is an indoor swimming pool and a small apartment gym in hotel. Only one point mad me disappointed is the breakfast because the buffet's menu is not diversity.

Was traveling from Ho Chi Min city to Hanoi on a motorcycle, was tired and sore at the end of the day so was in need of a comfy bed and a hot shower at the end of a hard day[280kl that day]||Hotel is in perfect location, views amazing , clean with a garage you can keep bike safe at night.||The 2 probs with this hotel are the beds are like sleeping on a door, very hard no mattress, and the other prob was it was a cold evening and after a shower it was very cold in the room, there is no heating, you can not switch a/c to heating mode, got in to bed to get warm, there is no food in this hotel no breakfast, you can go to a bar not far from the hotel.

Away from the main tourist area so very quiet. An excellent location for the view alone. Get up early and join the locals for various exercises on the sea front-5am to 6am. The hotel does not serve breakfast but well worth getting up to see the early morning fishing catch being landed and sold. The rooms are large and clean and the hotel is spotless. Walk along the sea front and join the locals for food and drink, Authentic Vietnam experience.

I booked here to stay and was an issue from the outset. The taxi driver overcharged us from the price set and I asked the reception to help due to his lack of English, they seemed to find it quite funny and were laughing together, in the end I had no choice to pay. I understand it's not their fault. But I didn't expect them to stand there laughing together whilst I was getting ripped off||||I checked in the first room and the bed was honestly no different to laying on the floor as it was as hard as concrete. Also the fan on the fridge was so loud it would keep a Sloth awake. I went to reception and tried and 2 rooms and there was no noise, but all the beds same. I have no idea how they feel this is expectable||||I decided the best thing to do is check out and find another Hotel in which I did. I think this is the first time I have ever done this. I would really recommend you think twice before booking here, or at least have a back up plan
