  The host was amazing. He helped us to find a bus on tet holliday, where everything is complicated to get because everything is closed, he helped us apso to have great and cheap boat cruise trip. His smile is contagious. About the room now, absolutely nothing to complain about. Nothing fancy or modern, but absolutely clean and confortable. I recommand the place. It is cheap and great. Adding also that the place is really calm during the night. Thank you Alex Halong Hotel&Hostel

  Arrived early hours on the 20th, but booked a night for the 19th. Really helpful staff left my room key out for me so I was able to check in straight away. Staff super helpful with booking day trip and booking transport to next location. Laundry service is also super quick, you get it back within 3 hours so there’s no waiting around till the next day and clothes smelt so clean after. Couldn’t recommend enough to someone.

  Alex at the hotel / hostel spoke very good English and was very helpful. They offer machine and full laundry and can assist with packages for days out also. Would recommend!

  Alex is a gem in Halong Bay. He helped us to no end, securing a fun day on the bay. When I forgot my bag, he popped over to bring it,when we needed a bus later, he booked it. He is friendly, fast and speaks great English (great for travellers). Overall, just thank you, our trip to Halong was so much better thanks to you.

  Best budget stay I have ever been to - worth every penny spent ! The best part was the customer service and help provided by Noi who was so sweet to help me book my ha long bay cruise and transfers. Prime location and proximity to the beach and Sun World. Def recommend!

  The family that runs this hostel are some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met! From the moment I arrived, they made me and my friends feel completely at home. Every morning, they prepared a fresh and delicious breakfast that truly felt like a taste of home. They were incredibly helpful in booking a day boat tour of Ha Long Bay, and when we returned, they were waiting with cold water and towels so we could shower and refresh. Their hospitality went above and beyond. Highly recommend!

  Alex is certainly a very nice guy. He speaks good English, something that is not common in Vietnam, and takes time to explain things. However, my experience was a mixed bag. I booked a Ha Long Bay tour with him, that was good, and returned to book a bus ticket to Cat Ba. Since, there were no more tickets for a tourist bus connecting to a scenic ferry ride, he booked me on another bus without informing me that that bus was going around the island via an industrial area and was used mostly by locals, but charged me for a tourist bus, not a local bus. Beware of scams that travel agent will sell you a tourist bus or a first class ticket but will puts you on a local bus or a second class. This was common 12 years ago on my first trip to Vietnam and mentioned in several tourist books. In this case, I believe that this was just a lack of communication and an opportunity to have a better profit, but at the end, I missed a scenic views of the bay.
