  Excellent seafood - fresh and an impressive variety. Not cheap, but reasonable prices. All dishes were good to great. Staff were friendly, and the restaurant is very clean + fantastic views of course. It is super busy for a reason. It was good the first night so we came back for another and were impressed both times.

  We visited a gov Phuong Nam a few days ago, and it was actually our first meal in Vietnam!! The food was really tasty, and we ordered multiple dishes to try everything out. The vegetables morning glory was yummy, and I really liked the fried rice with seafood. The view from the restaurant is great as well, and you can see Ha Long Bay from the restaurant.

  Food was very good, especially the oysters and scallop with scallion oil. The service was fantastic (from the person going through the menu with us to the people assisting us on level 4). Overall, great experience.

  Great experience for tourists visiting Ha Long Bay. The meat crab (Cua thit) was very fresh and tasty, with lots of meat and natural sweetness. Prices were clear, seafood was weighed before cooking, and the sea view made the meal even better. A safe and satisfying choice for travelers who want to enjoy local seafood.

  The food we ordered was great. We wanted to order a beef plate and we were told they didn't have it. Then we see someone with it. Hmm. We also asked for coke for drinks and the waitress said no. We got waters and yet we saw others with cokes. I don't know why there was a discrepancy with ordering. Nonetheless it was good.

  We visited the place for a dinner. We ordered seafood fried rice medium. The waiting staff said medium size is good for 5-7 people, but our group of 4 needed two portions. First rice portion was good, but second fell short. I didn't like the water spinach dish. The pork dish was ok, but the shrimp we ordered tasted bland. They didn't have any juice options so had to take a Pepsi. Some beers were available. The place is massive with large seating arrangements on multiple levels.

  2 of us ate here 9 Mar for dinner. We came here primarily because our hotel was across the street, we were tired, wanted somewhere local to have a quick light meal and it was recommended. We were advised that although it is a seafood restaurant, there were plenty of other dishes on the menu too. We sat inside on the 4th floor because it was a cool evening. Our experience was not great, one of the main servers seemed very angry this night, looked angry, loudly ordering other servers around and generally making a lot of noise with clattering dishes and plonking food on tables with little regard to customers, she was having a very bad night. With help from the fellow who seemed to be in charge we chose the Winter Melon and shrimp soup and crab crystal vermicelli, we also had some deep fried sweet potatoe as a starter. The sweet potato arrived pretty fast, was hot, tasty and plentiful. Then there was a long wait for the soup plus another long 30+mins wait after the soup for the crab vermicelli I guess it takes time to shell the crab which was fresh and tasty. The soup was too light for me but adding chilli and garlic have it more body, I couldn't get any lime because the servers were too busy and too involved with other tables. Overall the portions are generous and well priced. We clearly ordered the wrong dishes because while we waited for our dishes, people around us were coming in, being served immediately with seafood, eating and leaving. Apparently there is a process for ordering seafood as you arrive which speeds up the process of service. So, if you eat here come just for the seafood which looked amazing. Order it at the tanks as you arrive and before being seated. I forgot to photograph the dishes when they first arrived so what you see are the left overs.
