  We liked it so much that we stayed there for 2 months.It is great value for money. The rooms are spacious and clean. The shower and wifi are excellent. The staff and owner Son are all very nice and helpful. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk away. There are a few shops and restaurants around. The area is quiet, but very easy to get a grab for 40,000 vnd or walk 30 minutes to the main shopping areas.

  We needed a last minute room as we got to Ha Long Bay at 4 AM from sleeper bus. The owner was very helpful, got a room and made sure we could check in when we arrived. The hotel and rooms are modern and elegant, and room is very spacious compared to other places we stayed. We loved that the shower area has a glass door in between to avoid getting rest of the washroom wet. Very clean place and very affordable, would recommend for anyone.

  Great location, of course, but what really stood out was the incredibly nice and solicitous receptionist. He let me keep my bike in the room which is rare, and appreciated! Also it had the best shower I’ve come across in a long time, with an enclosed glass case and lots of hot water.

  This was the best accommodation I stayed at during my trip to Vietnam. The hotel staff were handsome and helpful, sharing lots of travel information and were very willing to assist me. Highly recommended!

  really close to the international cruise port. rooms are clean and comfortable with affordable price. staff are nice and friendly. will highly recommend for next visit

  We like to try different places and over the past few years we have stayed in many different hotels in Halong. La Playa is by far the best of them. Excellent value for money. The rooms are large, spacious, clean and comfortable.,Our room had 3 openable windows. The wifi is excellent. The walk in shower is amazing. The owner Son and his staff are always friendly and helpful. The hotel is located less than a 5 minute walk to the beautiful Bai Chay beach. Unlike many of the other hotels, this one is not affected by noise from the construction and beach club.

  The rooms are new, clean, and very comfortable. They include a minibar, free bottled water, and tea and coffee, which is a nice touch. The price is excellent for what you get, offering great value for money. The location is a bit far from the city center but very close to the beach, which we really liked. There are not many restaurants nearby, but it’s a quiet area. The service was friendly and helpful; although housekeeping was provided only two out of the five days we stayed, staff were always happy to give us extra towels, toilet paper, and amenities whenever we needed them. There is a beach club nearby, so some noise can be heard from the room between 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm. They also helped us arrange a shuttle to Hanoi Airport, which made our departure very easy.
