  Great little hotel, rooms were spotless clean beds super cozy & pillows comfy, 10/15 minutes walk to the beach front & restaurants, the hotel is in the middle of what looks to be future development of a high end luxury quarter of HaLong in a couple of years, we did not mind this as it made for lovely evening quiet strolls and the freedom of the streets in the afternoon for jogs & walks, the hotel owner and wife are really nice and stock up the room mini bar with nice Sodas which u do pay for but its very well priced

  Tu and Long were awesome hosts super nice and chilled blokes. Extremely helpful with booking tours and taxis. The location is good you’re just a short scooter ride away from everything in Ha long. There’s no breakfast or a restaurant but there’s a kitchen on the ground floor so you can fix yourself something on the cheap. It’s got real home stay vibes but with hotel amenities. Long even refused bank transfer when we were short on cash for waters we drank in the room. This is a perfect spot for a backpacker that’s not too fussy that’s keen for a break from the hostels for only a couple more bucks a night. Would definitely recommend and will happily come back for another stay.

  Just spent the night at Moonlight and we have to write a review right immediately because of the best experience here. As soon as we walked into the hotel really late at night, the owner greeted us with such a warm welcome. He also recommended us with some restaurants and Ha Long boat packages; he even helped us to book a limousine to go to Noi Bai airport the next day. The room was super nice, clean and everything looked brand-new. They provided all the toiletries in a luxurious condition. We highly recommend Moonlight Hotel to tourists that are looking for a place to settle and relax for your trip to Ha Long/Sun World.

  What a beautifully odd place to stay. A short 15-minute walk from the beach, or the restaurants. But the location itself is deserted. The room was clean and stocked with snacks. There's a TV with Netflix. Fast internet. There's a really great coffee shop a few minutes away. The hotel is in the middle of a huge development of seemingly abandoned hotels. I did not mind. It made for lovely strolls on the lantern lit roads.

  Overall Moonlight Hotel is a prime destination for travellers wanting to be in an ideal place for exploring the city of Ha Long. It is located between the old quarters and the French quarters and is walking distance from many shops, restaurants, and cafes. It is also only a short 5 minute walk from the iconic train street which was a highlight of my time in this city.

  We were welcomed with snacks in a basket, this hotel is very affordable and very lovely, the people who run the hotel are the sweetest people and had even offered to do our laundry, the laundry cost us 40k per kilo of washing which I think is a good price.||It’s a family run hotel and it’s very lowkey and quiet, he is very easy to talk to and he is super friendly, I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay if visiting Ha Long for a few days. Price is great for what you get!

  Our host left treats, water and lots of refreshments in our room on arrival! Also washed our clothes at a very low cost and, overall, was extremely welcoming and kind. Will definitely stay again!! Only a 10 minute walk from the Beach, local coffee shops and marts in the area for leisure.
