  Absolutely recommend this place 🔥 This is the best massage I’ve had in Vietnam! Over the 12 days I spent in Halong, I went for a massage 6 times. They greet you very warmly and smiling, the girls are always attentive, and after the massage my back and legs feel great.

  Pros: Very hospitality and kind owner, skillfull masseuse, reasonable price. Cons: masseuse would asking for tips which around 30-40% of your services, it is fine since I went around Tet holiday but it might a bit offense and annoying for those who not acquainted to tips culture.

  My husband and I are staying in Ha Long Bay for 2 months. This is the third massage business we have visited. We asked for some custom services, wanting to have a foot soak, heel calluses scrubbed and a foot massage for 60 minutes. They gladly accommodated our request for 320,000 VND. It’s good to also tip about 100,000 is you are happy with the service. I had a lovely massage legs and feet. and it was a good value. Kind people. I will come back to try a full body massage. Thank you!

  We booked a 60-minute full body massage, and I have to say the massage itself was excellent – easily 5/5. The therapists were skilled, and we left feeling relaxed and satisfied. However, the pricing communication was confusing from the start. The sign outside uses a different currency without clearly stating it, which can easily lead to misunderstandings. Once inside, the prices are presented differently, so it’s not immediately clear what you’ll actually be paying. Additionally, we were only informed after paying that tips were not included in the price. This put both sides in an awkward position, as we weren’t sure what amount was considered appropriate. In the end, the total cost came to around 300,000 VND, which is still a fair price for the quality of the massage. That said, it would be much more customer-friendly to clearly communicate the full pricing (including currency and tipping expectations) upfront, without any confusion or surprises.

  I paid 250,000 VND for a 1-hour massage. The massage itself was good, and there were positives: the foot soak was nice, the hot stones helped, and the listed price seemed affordable. However, the experience became very uncomfortable at the end because of the tipping pressure. Payment summary: 1-hour massage: 250,000 VND Initial tip given: 100,000 VND, or 40% of the massage price Additional tip offered: 10,000 VND, for a total tip of 110,000 VND, or 44% Final tip I ended up paying: 200,000 VND, or 80% Final amount paid: 450,000 VND total After the massage, I voluntarily gave a 100,000 VND tip, which was already 40% of the massage price. The masseuse looked unhappy with it and said, “I did a good job. Give me more.” I had a 200,000 VND bill and a 10,000 VND bill, so I tried to add another 10,000 VND, making the total tip 110,000 VND, or 44% of the massage price. She rejected the additional 10,000 VND and would not accept the 110,000 VND total tip. In the end, I gave her the 200,000 VND bill and got my 100,000 VND bill back. That means I paid 450,000 VND total for a 1-hour massage: 250,000 VND for the massage plus a 200,000 VND tip. The final tip was 80% of the massage price. To be clear, I did not pay the 200,000 VND tip because I thought it was reasonable. I paid it because the situation had already become uncomfortable, I was a tourist in a foreign country, and it was not worth risking a confrontation over 200,000 VND. Some people may say I should have refused, but in that moment, I just wanted to leave without trouble. For comparison, I tipped 50,000 to 100,000 VND in Hanoi, Ninh Binh, and Sapa, and the staff were sincerely thankful. This was the first time a 100,000 VND tip was not accepted as enough. I later noticed another review from two weeks ago describing a similar tipping issue, where the customer said tipping was presented as voluntary but staff still demanded more and mentioned a minimum of 100,000 VND per person. The business replied that tipping is voluntary, which directly conflicts with my experience because during my visit, the owner showed me a translated message that said tipping was compulsory. My advice to potential customers is to clearly confirm the total expected payment, including any tip, with the owner or staff before starting the massage. I am sharing this as a friendly warning so other tourists can avoid the uncomfortable situation I experienced and hopefully have a better visit. Also, the massage room was shared, with five massage beds and no dividers, so keep that in mind if you prefer privacy. Before I left, I was asked to leave a review, so here it is. The massage itself had good parts, but the tipping pressure at the end made the overall experience uncomfortable. P.S. This place is not open 24 hours as listed. Business hours are from 8 am to 12 midnight. Update after the business response: My issue is not that tipping exists. My issue is that I gave a 100,000 VND tip on a 250,000 VND massage, which is already 40%, then 110,000 VND or 44% and both were not accepted as enough. I ultimately paid 200,000 VND, or 80%. During my visit, the owner showed me a translated message saying tipping was compulsory. I also saw another review from two weeks ago where the customer said staff demanded more and mentioned a minimum tip of 100,000 VND per person. The business replied in Vietnamese: “Về tiền tip, bên mình luôn hướng tới việc để khách tự nguyện dựa trên mức độ hài lòng, hoàn toàn không có chủ trương ép buộc,” which means tipping is voluntary and not forced. That conflicts with my experience. The shared room did not bother me. I mentioned it only so first-time customers know there are five massage beds with no dividers. Also, Google Maps listed the business as open 24 hours. The hours posted on the business door were 8 am to 12 midnight. I am not trying to discourage people from going here. My advice is simple: confirm the full expected price, including any required tip and amount, before the massage starts so there are no surprises at the end.

  Unfortunately, we can’t fully agree with the many positive reviews and wouldn’t return. This was our fourth massage experience in Vietnam, and sadly it was the least pleasant. Here’s why: We were approached on the street and offered a 60-minute foot massage for two people at a discounted price. Surprisingly, we had to pay in advance, which hasn’t happened to us before. In the end, however, we were still charged the full price. The massage itself was okay – mine was relaxing, but both my partner and I were left without that “walking on clouds” feeling we’ve had at other places. Maybe the pressure wasn’t strong enough. So, overall: the massage was fine, but nothing special. Afterwards, we were asked to give a tip. This was the first time during our stay in Vietnam that someone directly asked us for one, so we were confused and mentioned that we had already paid. They then handed us a laminated card (which we hadn’t seen before) stating that a minimum tip of 50k VND per person was expected. Even speaking with the manager didn’t bring any clarity. We were told that the masseuses are paid from the tips, but nobody could explain what the original payment was actually for. To end the uncomfortable situation, we paid 100k VND and left annoyed. As mentioned, this has never happened to us in Vietnam before. In our experience, there isn’t really a tipping culture like in the US. You agree on a price, and anything extra is voluntary. Making guests feel guilty for not tipping is not something we appreciate. Regarding the other reviews this has system. Normally this would be 4 stars. But therefore only one. We won’t be coming back.

  My experience here was very disappointing. From the beginning, it didn’t feel right. When I arrived, I calmly asked about the available treatments, but the staff immediately acted in a pushy way. That already gave me an uncomfortable feeling. After paying, I was told right away that I had to give a tip. This is not normal. A tip should be voluntary and based on satisfaction, not something that is demanded upfront. The massage itself was poor. The masseuses were mostly talking to each other instead of focusing on the treatment. When I mentioned this, I was told I could take a private room for an extra fee. That is not a solution, and they continued talking anyway. I was also placed in a shared room with multiple people, which was not clearly communicated beforehand. You only see what you’re getting after you’ve already paid, which feels unfair. What made it worse was the attitude of the staff. After payment, the manager or owner became rude and unprofessional and pushed me upstairs in a disrespectful manner. After the massage, staff even followed me to ask for a tip, which I obviously did not give. I couldn’t even take a photo, as they kept following me. The fact that I took the time to write this review says enough. This is without a doubt the worst massage and the worst behavior I have experienced in Vietnam. It is not even worth one star. I rarely write reviews, but this was a very bad experience. This is not how you treat customers. I would not come back and I strongly advise others to avoid this place.

  I am on a cruise trip and Ha Long bay is one of the stops. I had a quick search on the massage shops and I chanced upon this. Given the highest rating/reviews, I decided on this without hesitation. I took 90 mins foot, 90 mins body, and 60 mins hairwash. I was directed to the second floor. I soaked my feet and undress my top. I casually placed my belongings on the bed in a basket since it was a quiet day. I was asked to lie on the bed face down for massage. During the session, people came in and converse with my masseuse. I did not heed much to it back then. Then, throughout our conversation, the lady mentioned tip, I personally thought it was ok as long a decent job is done. However for the first 3 hours, I was on the massage bed. I did not receive any standard foot massage as anyone would have expected while sitting down. The lady ask how is her strength etc, I do not want to be fussy about massage standard, hence I let it pass. To be frank, the body massage is nothing spectacular. After 3 hours, I was asked to move to the opposite room for a hairwash. Then I realized my belongings have been moved. The lady took out the basket (beneath another massage bed). I had a bad vibe because of previous experience. Next, for hairwash, I can confirm that the session had been good. However, I could not enjoy it fully due to my anxiety. After the session, straightaway I fished out 150k VND as tip. I checked my belongings and found that some monies were gone. I asked the lady and she denied any knowledge. She claimed that tipping here is compulsory. I did not take note of any tipping in the catalog earlier and the lady went to take a copy for me to see. The catalog shows a suggestion of various tipping amounts. The lady said, since I took 4 hours, I should pay 400k as tip. It was outrageous and I refused to, not to mention my lost money. The lady boss came and tried to meditate and search for it, but it was in vain. There were drawers for customers to keep belongings but I was not given one. The masseuse tried to bargain for additional 50k vnd, suggesting that she is magnanimous and had compromised on her part. I told both of them 150k is already a generous amount. The massage fee, if it does not include the salary for the masseuse, that is between them. Tipping, in any manner, is on us as a customer to reward the masseuse. Last but not least, there are a few shops along this road. Apparently, these masseuses take on customers when the shop calls, i.e freelancers.
