  Booked onto the 2 cabin 3 day 2 night tour. We got DOWNgraded to the regular rooms, when we paid for the premium ones. The boat is a little run down in areas and the rooms are also a bit old and in need of updating. The 1st day itinerary was fine and the transfer from Hanoi was also fine, except the rest stop was at an awful tourist trap massive gift shop with coffee for 45k VND, usually 20-25k VND. The restaurant deck does have nice viewing windows to enjoy the bay scenery. The bay area has a huge amount of boats, which does destroy the ambience a bit. The final stop of the day is Ti Top island, which was hugely overcrowded. The beach was shoulder to shoulder full of people and the hike up was absolutely packed. Our 2nd day itinerary was worse, instead of being on the luxury cruise we booked, we were handed over to a 3rd party day tour boat. No access to our rooms and thrown together which dozens of other tourists from other cruises. The day tour boat was smelly and dirty and the guide kept bullying my wife with spider jokes, because she's arachnophobic. We warned him beforehand and it only seemed to motivate him to try harder. The day tour lunch was mostly deep fried, lots of food though and moderately tasty. The kayaking tour is unguided, which means tourists just go all over the place with no direction. The equipment was also very bad, dirty and smelly. The beds on the flamingo cruise are very comfortable, and the dining experience is pretty good, but I wouldn't go with this company again. Incorrect room booking, bad/inaccurate itinerary and being handed off to a 3rd party away from our rooms means we won't return to Flamingo.

  The room was full of dust and there was a lot of humidity in the toilet. We saw a cockroach in the toilet. Everything was very dirty! Even the kayaks in which we did the activity. In addition, it was the worst food that I’ve tried in Vietnam. If you want to enjoy your trip in Halong Bay....please book another boat, this one sucks.
