Super market in Vietnam you can find goods you need.

It was nice to be inside the supermarket; it felt normal.

Just nice in a small town. Reasonable priced

Lots of fresh fruit (there’s a section with the discounted items, too), vegetables, dry nuts. We found our “specialty” toothpaste, a glass bottle/flask and a selection of “imported items”. The queues at the counters are two people-long at most. There’s even a Jollibee branch. Great shop.

small supermarket where you can find a bit of thing not available else where

Its OK but mostly Vietnamese foods, etc. Does have a few Western type items. Stock is very unreliable. Once something has sold out it can be weeks or months before it is restocked. No dog or cat food. Spillages are not cleaned up very quickly and loads of people push in the checkout queues. Busy times it is often only one checkout open. People us the checkout area as a basket, dropping items at the till while still getting items, whilst others just stand at the till and wait for the cashier to pack their shopping. It is not bad as I would rather buy fresh meat here than down the market hall. They also have some good deals and offers at times.

Good range of food for on-the-go snacks and meals

I like the COOP supermarkets of Vietnam. They are always a fresh and clean. There is one in almost every city of reasonable size. This one in Ha Tien is relatively new, and a little smaller than it's sisters, Chau Doc for instance. Therefore the assortment is not as rich - fewer brands of canned food, and such. Something which luckily is not lacking though, is the ready-made food, which is both tasty and inexpensive. Thanks, COOP!
