  Approx 1 hour 15 crossing. Cool inside and covered. Left on time and good views. Crossing a little bumpy for anyone who might get seasick

  The pier mainly serves the Ha Tien - Hai Tac island route. Journey time is about 30 minutes/way.

  The fastest way to get to and from Ha Tien. The boats are clean and once past the bridge, you can go out on the deck. The price of the ticket includes insurance but then the boats will not operate if the sea is too rough. However, watch out for Mr Coung and his wife. He will approach foreigners and ask if you need any money (USD) changing into VND. He will then say (or may not say) that the lady sitting in the cafe opposite the Superdong Terminal is the official Superdong Money Changer. If this was the case then why would she be sat in a grotty cafe and not in a booth inside the Terminal. Besides, he does not tell you that the 'LADY' is actually his wife. Their so called good exchange rate is only 20,000 for $1USD. The bank rate as of 17/05/2018 was 22,700VND for $1USD. He is known throughout Ha Tien and is banned from many establishments for getting them a bad name, namely the River Hotel and the Happy Hotel. The Happy Hotel will even give foreign customers a written document giving details about Mr Coung and his activities. Have a good trip but be warned about the above. James

  Just a shop to wait for the ferry. They have counters there for purchasing ticket. And food quality not good. I ordered hot coffee. It wasn't hot enough also very sweet. And paid 10000vnd. If you are coming by Futa bus from ho chi Minh city they have limousine waiting right at the bus terminal. They will transfer you at the port point without any cost. At the bus they collect information if you need limousine service or not

  Pleasant trip but watch out for Mr Coung. He hangs around the Superdong terminal and approaches foreigner tourists offering to change money. He speaks very good English and will direct you to a lady who he says is the official Superdong Money Changer. In fact it is his wife. To be honest, if she was the Official Money Changer for the Superdong then why would she be sat in a grotty cafe and not in a booth in the terminal. Use you common sense and tell this guy to get lost. He has scammed many people and not just foreigners but also local people. The River Hotel is actually doing a poster campaign within the hotel warning people and the Happy Hotel is also advising people to avoid him. So to repeat - if you see him, tell him to get lost, or any other words you feel appropriate.
