If you want an authentic ha giang loop experience, Yesd travel is your choice. Unlike other, more commercial tour operators, this one focuses exclusively on private tours. It will help you avoid the chaos and party atmosphere that characterizes larger groups. We slept at Thien's in his beautiful, authentic homestay. The food was delicious, his family are great cooks, and the location was breathtaking. Thien is just a great person, very helpful, kind, spending time with him was a pleasure. He was also willing to answer all our questions, he is simply great. Contact with the company is also great, I was constantly texted if everything was okay, Ms. Nhi made it a smooth trip and everything was perfectly planned. 10/10!

Review: An Unforgettable & Culturally Immersive Northern Vietnam Journey Overall Rating: ★★★★★ Our family recently completed a 7-day tour through Hanoi, Sapa, Ninh Binh, and Ha Long Bay with YESD, and the experience was exceptional. Traveling with a multi-generational group of eight—including four adults in our 50s, kids in their preteens, and my 88-year-old parents—we were looking for a delicate balance of adventure, authentic culture, and comfort. YESD delivered on all fronts. Highlights & Cultural Immersion Sapa & Hill Tribes (The Standout Highlight): For our family, the absolute highlight of the entire trip was walking through the stunning terraced areas of Sapa, fully immersing ourselves in the hill tribe arts and crafts, and staying overnight in a regional homestay. We loved the "opportune moments" where we witnessed locals spinning hemp and indigo dyeing away from the heavy crowds. Ninh Binh: The sampan rowing boat experience was a beautiful immersion into the local landscape. Getting a close-up view of the towering limestone rock formations and gliding peacefully through the caves was very serene, completely offsetting the fact that there were other tourists in the area. Ha Long Bay: Our stay on the Au Co cruise was top-tier. Cruising through the vast, open emerald waters surrounded by massive, beautiful limestone outcroppings was breathtaking, offering a distinct and grand contrast to the close-up river experience in Ninh Binh. The organization, the food, and the activities were fantastic—our daughter even won the one-handed spring roll competition! Customization & Special Touches: YESD was extremely accommodating during the planning phase. They allowed us to mix four- and five-star boutique hotels (like the Hidden Charm and Oriental Jade), which felt much more connected to the area than "big box" international chains. They seamlessly handled our dietary restrictions mid-tour to ensure everyone was happy. Furthermore, it was our daughter's birthday on day one of the tour, and YESD organized a beautifully decorated and tasty cake that Quyet presented to her after dinner, along with a birthday hat and candle sparkler! The Guide & Service Our guide, Quyet, was exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and attentive. He went above and beyond by personally assisting my elderly mother with difficult steps during our hikes, ensuring she felt safe and included. His deep understanding of Vietnamese history and his openness about his own life added a layer of depth we didn’t expect. Our driver, Quyen, also deserves high praise; his professional, safe navigation in our comfortable van made the long travel days between regions completely stress-free. Constructive Feedback for Future Travelers While we loved the trip, there are a few things we’d suggest for those looking for a similar "cultural immersion" focus: Hanoi Schedule: The 7th and final day of our tour was dedicated to exploring Hanoi city. We found the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum a bit overwhelming due to the crowds and wait times. In hindsight, we would have traded some temple visits for a dedicated street food or craft-focused tour. Fansipan: While a major landmark, it felt a bit more touristic and less authentic compared to our time connecting with the local hill tribes. Pacing: The itinerary is brisk (6:30 AM breakfast starts, and we were usually on the road at 7:30 AM), which is necessary to see so much, but be prepared to catch up on your rest during the van rides. Why We Chose YESD We were drawn to YESD because of their mission to support local communities. Knowing that our tour helped provide jobs and income to the tribes we visited made the experience even more meaningful. They are a highly responsive, professional, and ethical tour operator. If you want a high-quality, customized, and socially responsible tour of Vietnam, we cannot recommend YESD, Quyet, and Quyen enough!

It was a fantastic experience with our guide Yin and driver Guan. Both very experienced and showed us many beautiful places and met wonderful people. The guide was honest and also came with suggestions. Sometimes it was not following the itinerary, but the suggestion meet our need better. The communication with Yesd was via email and was excellent. Quick reply and made the tour to our needs. We added 2 more places to visit and it was done immediately. Also during our trip the office asked how it went and also our guide and driver could reach them fast if there were questions. There was a cloud hunting included, but that was a disappointment. Our guide told us that the cloud hunting was only visible in the winter. So, Yesd should be doing some more investigation to the items the put on the itinerary. That was the only downside, all the meals, Accommodations and places we visited were excellent! ❤️ Last note, I've would like to see visiting Yesd social projects in their itineraries, because a part of the amount paid will go to the projects.

So impressed by this company! I booked a 3 day trek in Ha Giang with them. Smooth WhatsApp communication, quick to answer all my questions (and trust me I had a lot of them!). They arranged my transport within Ha Giang. The home stays were great, the food was plentiful and delicious. My guide (Mr Lim) was really lovely and super knowledgeable. I’d highly recommend. I was travelling solo so was nervous before, but I felt great and perfectly safe throughout. You’re in safe hands with YesD!

I had a very good experience with this travel company on the Ha Giang Loop. Special thanks to Mu, who provided excellent service and communicated very well throughout the trip. The food was great, and I really appreciated the detailed explanations about the history of the different places we visited. A big shoutout as well to our driver, who was extremely gentle and careful on the road, making the journey feel safe and comfortable at all times. Highly recommended!

From February 23rd to April 1st, 2026, I traveled with YESD in Hà Giang. As an amateur photographer, my goal was to take pictures of members of the various ethnic groups living in this province, wearing their traditional clothing, and to talk to people to learn about their culture and history. To get close enough to these people, who are generally quite shy, I needed someone who speaks their language, who could connect with them, open doors for me, and allow me to establish friendly relationships with people even in remote areas. I contacted YESD (I found them by chance online while planning my trip) and received a very quick reply from Ms. Tuyet, one of the company's three founders. She put together a private tour tailored to my wishes. Mr. Bing, the driver, picked me up in Hanoi and drove me safely and reliably from one place to another. The first stop was Thon Tha, where Ms. Tu Anh, my tour guide, was waiting for me. Tu Anh is a lovely person (as is Mr. Bing, by the way) who paved the way for me to take the photos I envisioned. She is incredibly knowledgeable, answering all my questions, approaching people, and knocking on every door to give me the opportunity to photograph. I've already been to many places in Asia, including very remote ones, and have taken countless photos of the people, and now I can add some wonderful pictures to my collection. Thanks to Tu Anh, people weren't shy and even happy to be photographed. I sat around many fires, ate and drank with them and laughed together. When the Sunday market in Thong Nguyen (the final highlight of the trip) was only attended by a few local villagers due to the recently concluded Tet festival, Tu Anh proved her worth: In a short time, she organised an alternative that was just as beautiful and perhaps even more interesting. I would like to sincerely thank everyone involved, Ms. Tuyet, Ms. Tu Anh, and Mr. Bing, for organising this tour for me with such dedication and enthusiasm - a trip I will never forget. And by the way, every Dong spent on a trip like this with YESD is a lifetime investment for everyone who takes it.

We recently did a trekking + Ha Giang loop tour with YESD and were blown away by their service level and professionalism. We like YESD's mission of responsible tourism while supporting the local community and empowering locals with employment. A portion of the profits also directly go back to supporting the communities and local infrastructure. Our stay at Mr. Thien's homestay was amazing! The place was homey and relaxing. Mr. Thien and the people working there were so friendly, warm and hospitable. Our trek in Thon Tha was guided by Mr. Lim. Having grown up in the area, he was able to give us a more immersive experience and told us about the different flora and fauna we saw along the way. The views were breathtaking! Our 2 day Ha Giang loop tour was an easy rider option with Tung and Van. They made us feel comfortable and safe the entire time. You can tell they are very experienced drivers. They also made sure we got vegan meals each time we ate. This tour was also private which we loved! We saw some of the other rider groups that ranged from 6-12 people. Definitely not something for us. We are glad we got a private experience and that we could take our time at the rest and photo stops. We even had a short 1.5hr trek in the back trail away from the main road which was so nice! We enjoyed our short time with them. Lastly, Ha Tran at the front office was so helpful throughout the booking process. She was available on whatsapp to answer any questions I had. Our luggage was delayed coming to Hanoi by a few days and we were debating potentially shifting our tour by a day or so. Within a day's notice she prepared a new itinerary for us! Although we decided to go with our original plan (without our luggage), Ha was so helpful and understanding! Highly recommend YESD! Thanks Ha Tran and team!

For our trip to Vietnam, we organized two tours with YESD Travel, and we honestly couldn’t have been happier with the experience. We did a 3-day trek in Sapa and a 1-day trek plus a one-day Ha Giang Loop, and everything was wonderful. All our guides were fantastic, knowledgeable, kind and full of interesting insights about local culture and the places we visited. From an organizational point of view everything was excellent too. During our stay, there were heavy rains, but thanks to Chi who stayed in close contact with us via WhatsApp, we were able to rearrange our tours flexibly and smoothly, even at the last minute. A heartfelt thank-you for making our trip to Vietnam even more special ❤️
