  Catba Backpackers - Sea Vibe is a really great hostel/hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. Communication was very easy, and renting a motorbike as well. The breakfast every morning (included in the price) was delicious, especially the freshly prepared eggs. They also have super cute cats :) I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a relaxed time on Cat Ba!!

  We loved our stay here! The staff and customer service are just the best! Rooms and bedding were clean and the location is just a 20 minute walk to the best restaurants in Cat Ba. We liked that it’s a little bit out of Cat Ba center - nice and quiet. The staff helped us with booking some awesome tours. The manager was really accommodating when we asked to switch because our bungalow was too close to the bar. The cats here are so sweet too 🥰

  Our family of four had a stunning, amazing, incredible, GORGEOUS experience at Sea Vibe Cat Ba thru a warm winter week. The staff were incredibly helpful even before we checked in, helping us to navigate from Hanoi. They organised our boat tour of the islands (jaw-dropping and a bargain price), gave us great recommendations around town and the island, and rented scooters. They did two loads of washing for us, made lovely breakfast and dinners, and were so relaxed and easy to deal with when we didn't know how long we'd be staying, or where to go next. The staff were so absolutely lovely our girls were in tears hugging everyone goodbye - even kind to the kittens and old dog living on the street. And the location! An easy walk from town, but away from the bustle. On the side of a small lake with an astonishing view of the hills behind. A few other homestays sat on the quiet road, and our girls quickly made close friends with the local children. We stayed two extra nights on the island because of the incredible time we were having, and my wife won't stop trying to organise a return trip!

  Kindest staff ever!!! We couldnt find any accommodation on cat ba and the staff let us and a few other people sleep in the common area/on the sun loungers free of charge and also gave us free breakfast in the morning, provided blankets and pillows so we'd be comfortable and also helped us out getting a taxi the next day. Obviously since we just crashed in the common area we dont know what the rooms were like but the bungalows looked gorgeous and the whole hostel had such a good vibe. Cant recommend this place more purely because the staff were so kind to us and helped us out a lot 🫶

  they are such kind people, with so much kindness, One day when I woke up late and had missed my breakfast, they made me another one too. for me. and when I was about to leave 5 minutes away by motorcycle, he told me to take me for free because it's very close. I really appreciated that. If you go there, be kind to these people, they only have kindness. In general, the hostel is clean, the bathroom has enough space, it doesn't limit you. and it has an incredible view When I went I booked a room for 6 beds but they put me in a room with 8 because there weren't many people so I could have a better view.   We had a wonderful time at this homestay. The local staff are incredibly lovely and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, even taking the time to give us detailed tips about the island. The location is perfect—just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city to be peaceful, but still easily accessible. Our room was comfortable, and while the breakfast was simple, it was the perfect start to our day. Huge thanks to the team for their hospitality; we truly enjoyed our stay!

  After our bike breaking down and getting stranded on the island, we booked here to stay for the evening. The room was okay, some mould but it looked as if the owners were sorting that issue. Other than that the room was very good for the price. What made this place special was the service. The man behind the reception desk went above and beyond helping us sort out our bike being fixed, was very accommodating, polite, friendly and helpful. Happy hour every evening free beer from 6:30-7:30 and cocktails 2 for 1 7:30-8 great value for money! The location was lovely, very beautiful scenery and the hostel has lots of cats roaming around which were super friendly and such a lovely addition. Thanks so much:)

  Arrived and stayed for 3 days.||Free breakfast in the morning was provided as well tea and coffee.||The hostel had a great balance of being social and allowing for relaxed time.||Moped rental had good value also with reception organising buses to other towns and activities/tours.||There is free beer from 1830 until 1930 followed by buy one get one free cocktails from 1930 until 2030.||Ha was great at making cocktails and serving food. I personally recommend the Singapore sling and the Chicken noodles (A shared favourite). She was very hospitable and I recommend this hostel to any traveler.
