  Likes. 1. Excellent location right on the main road, hardly few mins walk from all the waterfront, restaurants & shops around 2. Amazing free breakfast, the best I've had in Vietnam so far. options to choose from eggs, banh mi, noodles, pancakes, soup, Vietnamese coffee, tea and juice. Tasted super yummy. 3. Comfortable beds with towels, blankets, toothbrush/tooth paste provided. 4. Early check-in at no extra charge, provided when arrived from Hanoi at 11am, which was helpful Dislikes 1. Wifi wasn't very reliable or super fast, was hard to stream any vidoes. Not a deal breaker but if you are working from here, video calls could be an issue. 2. Showers although had hot water, the pressure was way too low. Minor complaint but not a show stopper 3. Dorm beds have no privacy. Huge room with 28 beds but beds don't have privacy curtains.

  Great location close to all amenities. Staff are fab as they treat you as you treat them. Three types of dorms with super beds, hot showers, laundry service and personal locker, plus a good choice of breakfast all for $5 or $6 a night depending on dorm. This is my opinion I have stayed here on four occasions totaling over a hundred nights and I wouldn't stay in any other hostel on Cat Ba island.

  Beds are comfy and there is good ac in the dorms. The breakfast provided is good. But the toilets and showers always smelled bad and weren't cleaned often enough, and they didn't have most of the things on the menu when we wanted to order.

  Staff were nice and the bed was comfy. They also had free lockers under the bed which you didn't need your own lock for. Unfortunately the showers and toilets were less nice and the showers often didn't work and the WiFi was temperamental. The rooms have around 30 beds each so be ready to be surrounded by people. They do give free breakfast though which was good quality

  One night here in a private room, run by the hostel but in the hotel next door. Plenty of issues, which weren't shocking considering the low price. Door to the room was basically a metal porch door, offering very little security. It also had a stained glass type window, meaning my room was bright all night. Mattress very hard, bathroom quite mildewed, wifi didn't work, AC didn't work, a few cockroaches here and there. Hot water was great.

  Just no. 28 people, plus 4 extra on mattresses on the floor. Another dorm plus us used the 2 toilets and 4 showers. It was super dirty in that bathroom. Everything was full of sand somehow. And until 1am there as loud karaoke music from outside. No curtains, no breakfast. For that price is not justifiable. It was the most expensive hostel I had to book on my 5 months travel through Asia and it was one of the worst. Also I booked 14 bed dorm and got 28 bed dorm. No use in complaining, because they were completely full. The beds were comfortable and big though. That was nice. And the scooter rental had normal prices.

  + Such a good place to stay, I was travelling on my own and felt like a a hoel over a hostel and this place was great. So close to the main strip. You can walk there with no problems. The staff are so friendly and helpful I had help a lot during breakfast the other morning. If you have anything to ask they will help you. Thank you guys

  I wish I could give more than 3 stars to this hostel.|It has a very good potential in my opinion. It is centrally located, modern, the beds & pillows are very comfy, the room spacious & the staff is very kind.|However, 5 nights there, Wi-Fi was non-existent ! Signal was high but it's was impossible for me & my roomates to connect to the Wi-Fi in our room. The bathrooms are okay but almost everything is broken, including door lockers... |I did no not appreciate that the housekeeper started cleaning the rooms at 7am... Like really ? Can't they wait for after check out time ?|Breakfast next door was good but only before 7:30am I'd say... After that, they were barely refilling the buffet. |Also, a bed is $10 instead of $7 during the week end ? What a joke !|I still recommend but they need to improve certain things.
