  Situated within Haiphong's Roygent Park adjacent to the Nikko Hotel, The Dining offers an impressive array of Japanese cuisine within a relaxed ambiance. Despite its cafeteria-like appearance, the establishment boasts a diverse menu catering to even the most discerning palates, making it a noteworthy addition to the local culinary landscape. Opting for the tonkatsu lunch set while my companion chose the roast beef bowl, we complemented our meals with the homemade ginger ale—an excellent choice characterized by its balanced sweetness and acidity. Both dishes were meticulously prepared, demonstrating a keen attention to detail. While thoroughly enjoying my tonkatsu, I couldn't help but think that a sprinkle of ground sesame seeds could further enhance its flavor profile. The Dining excels in delivering prompt service, making it an ideal spot for a swift business lunch—I managed to conclude my meal within just 30 minutes. Overall, it's evident that this restaurant is a standout choice in Haiphong, and I eagerly anticipate returning to sample more offerings from the menu. However, I noted the absence of a dedicated wine list or beverage selection beyond standard juices and sodas, which I plan to explore further during my next visit. However, my experience was slightly marred by the absence of the Nagoya-style pork cutlet, which I had eagerly anticipated trying based on the restaurant's Google Maps listing. In response to this, I have uploaded the current menu to ensure accurate representation for future diners. This discrepancy between the online representation and the actual menu detracted from the overall experience, prompting me to deduct one star from my rating. Therefore, The Dining receives a rating of 4/5 stars.

  ❌ Extremely disappointed. Ordered via QR code, confirmed with staff, but waited 40 minutes with no food served, even salad. Even after asking, I was told the restaurant was busy. Meanwhile, tables that arrived much later were served right away. Finally, staff admitted they forgot my order. I was starving and upset, has stomachace so I paid and left. 👉 Terrible experience. Will never return.
