  Cat Bi International Airport is always a convenient choice Situated just around 5 km from Hai Phong city centre, it’s easy to navigate and far less hectic than Hanoi. With strong domestic connectivity and seamless access to Halong and Cat Ba, it consistently optimises the travel flow. For guests finishing an overnight cruise in Halong Bay and wishing to avoid the 180-km return to Hanoi, this airport is the ideal alternative. It’s only about 50 km from Halong Bay, and multiple connecting flights operate daily to major cities across Vietnam.

  The airport is very convenient for ppl from Halong and Hai Phong. The location of the aiport is also nice and easy to access. The facilities are very good and clean. This is a small airport so the process and everything are very quick and easily (maybe 10 min). I prefer this airport compared to Hanoi airport.

  Very small airport, most flights to HCM, one to Danang and one to Seoul. Beats the crowd of Hanoi, but limited flights, can save flying out of this airport vs Hanoi as most super saver seats still available. Most efficient service getting luggage when disembarking a flight given how small the airport is.

  Actually simple enough airport. It’s small with 4 gates. Actually 2 gates that connect to the 4. Because of the limited space the process to get in is quick. Heck even the take off is quick because there is only 1 plane on the runway in the whole airport at the time. Bathrooms are clean and lot of mini shop to buy snacks and toys. Only con is there aren’t a lot of actual restaurant to get a good sit down meal so eat before you get here if hungry. There is a smoking area after security

  This is a very small airport, not crowded like others. Immigration has only two lines, but there aren’t many tourists. I saw only one baggage claim area. When you exit the gate, many drivers will approach you asking where you are going. However, I highly recommend booking a car through the GRAB application. It’s cheaper, safer, and hassle-free—just make sure to pin the correct location.

  It's a small airport located near the city center. It's quite new and clean. Because it was small, I could do everything quickly. I showed my phone and passport to the girl at the check-in counter, she checked then threw my phone on the counter instead of giving it back to me and I was angry. I stood right there and I didn't go anywhere far away. The area near the gates was crowded. The food was expensive and It was not good. I couldn't use my card to get inside the business lounge because it was not internationally qualified. I couldn't find any friendly staff there. The screen on the baggage claim area was too small and they put it at the place where it was hard to see. I walked around 3 times to find the screen to know where to claim my baggage until I saw it was small on the second column of the carousel area. The taxi drivers always scared me. They spoke too loud and it was like they were ready to fight all the time. The taxis were old and many times I had to sit with other strange passengers with different stops. Of course, each of us had to pay full price for the trip although the car was shared.

  Visited domestic section of the airport. Horrible airport with very few and poor amenities. No ATM, no currency exchange, hardly anyone speaks any English. They accept US$ but at extortionate exchange rate. Avoid if you can.

  4–5 stars? For what exactly? There are almost no chairs for waiting customers. Rather than adding proper seating, they open shops around the area, occupy more space, and charge people just to sit. Yet somehow this still deserves 5 stars?
