We made a random visit to Tonkin Egg Coffee after stopping by the famous bánh mì shop just opposite—and it turned out to be a hidden gem! We truly loved the hospitality. The staff were warm, welcoming, and made the experience even more special. And the highlight—the egg coffee—was simply outstanding! Rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, easily one of the best egg coffees we’ve ever had. A must-visit spot if you’re in the area and want to try something authentic and memorable. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A must-visit coffee spot in Ho Chi Minh City! We ordered the Egg Cream Coffee and the Tonkin Coffee, and both were absolutely delicious. The egg cream was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, while the Tonkin Coffee was just as flavorful. We chose to sit on the terrace, and it made the experience even better. The view overlooking the busy streets was beautiful and perfect for relaxing while enjoying our drinks. Great coffee, lovely atmosphere, and friendly service. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

The egg coffee here was absolutely delicious — rich, creamy, and beautifully presented. They also allow you to bring your banh mi from nearby spots, and there’s plenty of comfortable seating, which makes it a great place to sit down and enjoy your food. If you’re planning to eat your sandwich there, don’t forget to order a coffee to support the business — it’s totally worth it anyway because the coffee is excellent. The space is spacious, relaxed, and perfect for taking a break while enjoying a really good drink.

We were hoping to find an egg coffee first experienced in Hanoi. At this cafe Tonkin Egg Coffee, we had a superb example of egg coffee, attentive service offering repeated servings of complimentary herbal tea, a delicious banh mie and complimentary taster of a specialist coffee with cinnamon and ginger. Adventurous tastes and perfect relaxing atmosphere - and excellent cool aircon!

Great coffee - got an iced oat latte. Perfect. You don’t have to get egg, they serve great coffee with many options!! Upstairs is cool and peaceful. They kindly let us eat our takeaway food there which we already bought. Thank you!! :)

This coffee shop is an absolute gem for anyone who loves an authentic and cozy atmosphere! The highlight is definitely their egg coffee—it is exceptionally good with a thick, velvety taste that feels more like a luxurious dessert than just a drink. The whipped foam is rich and creamy, balancing perfectly with the bold coffee underneath. What makes this place even more special is the cozy, no-shoes room. It creates such a relaxed, 'homey' vibe that is perfect for those who appreciate traditional Asian-style comfort. It’s the ideal spot to kick off your shoes, sit back, and truly savor every sip. Highly recommended for a quiet break or a deep chat with friends!

Wide variety of coffees and matcha drinks. Quiet atmosphere. Very rustic. Service was very friendly. They allow us to consume our Banh Mi bought from the famous shop nearby. Just look at the drinks presentation and you will know the effort put into their drinks! And yes.... they are well know for their egg coffee!

Didn't believe the hype, but this place is the real deal egg coffee. I have been to many so far and today being my last day in Saigon - I have to say, hands down Tonkin egg coffee is definitely the best. The egg is whipped to perfection, strong shot of coffee, right amount of condensed milk = balance perfection!
