  I would like to share my positive experience at Chợ Rẫy Hospital, as I believe it deserves fair and balanced recognition. I initially came to this hospital without any digestive symptoms. My main complaints were neurological issues, which made my condition complicated and difficult to identify. I am deeply grateful that Doctor Thuy An was able to recognize the possibility of an underlying gastrointestinal cause and ordered the correct diagnostic tests, including endoscopy and colonoscopy, instead of treating only surface symptoms. Through this thorough evaluation, I was tested positive for H. pylori, received appropriate treatment, and later underwent retesting with a successful negative result with the help of Doctor Kha Ngoc Kim Chau. Even more importantly, during the colonoscopy, the medical team accidentally but fortunately discovered a precancerous colon polyp, which was removed immediately and successfully. This early detection and intervention may have prevented a much more serious condition in the future, and for that I am extremely thankful. I understand that Chợ Rẫy Hospital often receives negative reviews, but from my personal experience, many of these concerns seem related to the language barrier and the extremely high patient volume. This is a major referral hospital that is always crowded. Despite these challenges, it was clear to me that the doctors, nurses, and staff are working tirelessly to care for as many patients as possible. When people are sick, uncomfortable, or in emergency situations, emotions can understandably run high, and delays may feel overwhelming. However, I believe it is important to recognize the dedication, skill, and effort of the healthcare professionals who are doing their best under intense pressure. Overall, I am truly grateful for the care I received. The doctors’ ability to think broadly, identify the real cause of my complex condition, and intervene early made a significant difference in my health and peace of mind. I would recommend this hospital to anyone who understands the environment of a busy public hospital and values experienced, life-saving medical care. Thank you sincerely to the doctors, nurses, and staff for your hard work and dedication.

  This is the least hospital you want to visit, because it’s is the last place before after world. The have the most skilled doctors and nurses in Vietnam. There is a draw back is this hospital always crowded with patients; therefore, the services is slow and waiting for hours is a common sense here. Hope they can improve in the future.

  I broke my arm and went to the emergency department. I was greeted by a doctor/trainee who helped me to complete some admission forms. Their English was great for the situation. I waited about 10 minutes and my arm was bandaged and then I was out in the large inpatient treatment room. There were many serious cases and I was not a high priority. Although I was in discomfort and pain, I agree that i should wait for the more serious patients to be treated. I had my x-ray after about 90 minutes and finally the arm cast. Total treatment time was about 5 hours. Cost for all, about 1.2 million VND. Since then, I have been back for follow up examinations and x-rays. The process has been smooth and has not taken too long, 2-3 hours at most. Although some places are pretty dirty inside, the main medical equipment, medical surfaces and beds were clean and sanitary. I would recommend you go here if you have an emergency, at least for a minor injury like a broken bone, as was my case. The emergency department operated quite well.

  Good and kind doctors, some nurses are nice, the price is good, and stitches are good, very organised though busy, but I wasn’t able to get food or water for 6 hours here, even my friend couldn’t bring it to me, which is surprising cause hospital is the last place I’d expect to get this dehydrated. I suppose because I communicate needs softly I was largely overlooked. And the last 2 hours were spent on just waiting to get paper to check out, imagine that with no water or food for all of the day. I ended up just putting on shoes in ER and walking out past security and nurses trying to stop me, then a doctor asked me what do I need, and he helped me. Maybe would maybe wouldn’t come back here but it was interesting experience with some kindness. My recommendation would be to pay better attention to patient needs, like water or food, and not nevermind when they say they are so thirsty, cause everything else is very good, but with water it’d be just a pleasant experience. ✌️

  It was the worst hospital I've ever been to. Mom was diagnosed that she had a broken tumor in her kidney and needed urgent medical care. Since they were unable to treat her so they transfered her to Cho Ray for further treatment. We got there and stay there for almost 12 hours but the doctor in Cho Ray had done nothing. Then we asked to check out for another hospital and they tried to hold us there for another day without any further action of curing her. This hospital got the worst facilities and terrible medical staff. If you want to live, don't ever go there to seek for medical care.

  This hospital is ridiculous. My uncle was transferred to this hospital because he had a stroke and was waiting to be seen. He has not been seen yet by anyone or given any sort of treatment even though he is in pain. The doctor is just there not doing anything in front of a computer screen. If a patient is showing signs of uncomfortableness, the hospital should address it because it escalates and is out of control. This demonstrates the hospitals lack of professionalism.

  Watch out the babaric nurses and securities who don't listen but bark at patients and their guardians when commuting from wards to convinent stores to buy something for the patient. Avoid this worst hospital in HCMC at all cost. I repeat avoid this place at all cost.
