  It was a great stay! Location is very perfect all the main hubs can be visited juat by walk. Phuong and Dinh are very chil and relaxed host. Overall great value for solo travelers.

  I stayed at Sakura Saigon Hostel for about 45 days, and honestly, it felt like home. I originally came because I had 2–3 friends I met earlier in Thailand who were staying there and recommended it to me — and they were absolutely right. The hostel is very centrally located, with all the facilities you need nearby, which made my stay super convenient. I always used the kitchen to prepare snacks and heat water for coffee, which made my daily routine very comfortable. I also met many travelers from different parts of the world there, which made the experience even more special. Thanks to the great location, I was able to visit all the main tourist attractions in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), experience a bit of the local culture, and try the delicious traditional Vietnamese food. What really made the difference were the owners. They are young, friendly, and genuinely kind people. They went out of their way to help me when I needed a residency declaration to renew my passport, and they even gave me an electric shaver as a gift — something I truly didn’t expect. I’m really grateful for the experience and the people I met there. I hope to come back one day. I loved both the hostel and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam. Highly recommended!

  It rained there was a river flowing from the roof inside down the stairway went to alert management fell down marble stairs got assistance lucky wasnt injured i was told raging river was totaly normal and i couldnt have z fresh towell

  I woke up in the morning it’s a lot of bedbugs. My whole body had bites. I have several bite marks on my legs, and they are very itchy. The hygiene here is terrible. I hope the hostel can clean the beds properly. Thank you.

  I stayed in a 10 people shared dorm #5 (3rd floor) - Good A/C - Cheapest price in District 1. - Uncomfortable bed Room: - Good A/C - 5 bunk bed (solid structure, no noise or movements) - Terrible matress (my hip hurt all night and it also had big hole right on the middle), regular pillow (flat but ok) and good blanket (but small and narrow) - Window lets natural light come inside room - Blackout curtain available in bed - Good space in room - Night light available - Stairs for upper bed are very uncomfortable - There's was a weird smell. Bathroom: - Outside room - Body wash and hand soap available - Old towel but decent, gets you dry - There's 1 bathroom on each floor: 1st floor: 1 toilet/shower/sink together 2nd floor: 1 shower, 1 toilet/shower, 1 sink 3rd floor: 1 toilet, 1 toilet/shower, 1 sink *Toilet in 3rd floor is very uncomfortable, there's almost no space between it and the wall - The area in general was pretty clean. There were some black/yellow stains in sink, walls and doors. There's was no trash around the floor or dirty toilets which is more important. Lockers: - Below the bed, fit for smalls bags Location: - Ben Thanh market (600m/10min) - Nguyễn Huệ (1.3km/19min) - Bui Viện walking street (450m/6min ) - Water bus (2km/28min) *Time on foot Overall: - Uncomfortable bed - Good A/C - Excellent location Improve: - Better matress, pillow and blanket - Get rid of bad smell in room - Clean stains in bathroom to make the place feel more "clean" and nice - Bigger locker -2 star: my matress was terrible -1 star: weird smell in room Date: 3/1/26

  They need to invest some time and money to make it better, shower were horrible, same as bed. I felt very tired whilst neing there i just move to a different hostal and. Much much better i feel i am enjoying my time in Saigon now

  BEWARE MISSING/STOLEN ITEMS I had some items go missing, when I informed staff, I was informed they provide lockers. No other support was offered even though they have cameras. Several other guests also had informed me they had missing items stolen.

  No hand soap in any bathrooms. How are guests meant to wash hands? Do they really not know that bodywash and shampoo aren't going to kill germs? The place is filthy.. very filthy. Walls, dorms, bathrooms, kitchen. All need a deep clean. No hooks in bathrooms to hang your clothes and towels. Only stayed for one night, found a much cleaner place across the road. Is it that hard to hire a cleaner to clean things properly and keep them clean? How much should we pay per night to receive hand soap in the bathrooms? Staff aren't very friendly either. Not to mention very slow wifi and apparently cats in the kitchen with almost no space to move at all, tied up to a door. Disgusting.
