  Such a lovely hostel which is practically a hotel with how clean and modern it is. Staff are so friendly and very helpful, always have a smile on their face :) 14 bed dorms are much more spacious than the 6 bed (I would recommend booking 14bed because of this) The 14 bed dorms also have a balcony which is an added bonus. The family dinner is so wholesome and very tasty, it’s also vegan which I loved and a great way to meet other travellers. You can get fresh towels every day which is amazing as not a lot of hostels offer this. Location is great, there’s a fair bit of noise coming from the street at a night time due to the music but it didn’t bother me that much. I got my laundry done too and it came back nice and fresh. All in all this is the best hostel I’ve stayed in and would highly recommend!!!!!

  Highly recommended hostel! The staff are super friendly, warm, and always happy to help. They gave great recommendations on places to visit and local attractions, which made my trip much easier and more enjoyable. One thing I really liked was finding out this is a vegetarian and vegan friendly hostel. Every night they have a dinner you can join, which was such a nice way to meet people and enjoy good food together. It costs around 150k VND per person, and it was worth it. The area is also comfortable, chill, and has a relaxing vibe. Great place to stay if you want a friendly atmosphere and a peaceful base while exploring the city. Would definitely recommend!

  Amazing hostel, nicest i’ve stayed in. Rooms are clean and new, beds don’t creak! People working here are lovely, the dinners that they do taste amazing and the location is close to everything. Even tho it’s on Walking Street you can’t hear anything in the rooms. Stayed in 6 bed female dorm which was great. Wasn’t too social at the start of my stay but with the dinners makes it so much easier to meet travellers. Made some good friends who I spent time with in Saigon. 10/10 recommend.

  I had a great stay at The Common Room Project. The location is perfect right near Bùi Viện Walking Street if you’re looking to enjoy the nightlife, but far enough away that you can still get a good night’s sleep without hearing all the loud music. The hostel itself is modern, clean, and very well maintained. The facilities are excellent, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. A special shoutout to Mai at reception, who was incredibly sweet, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. She made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and was always happy to help with any questions. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City

  Everything was a 10/10 here. Tu at the front desk was very friendly and incredibly helpful when I arrived. This place did not feel like just another hotel/hostel, you really do feel at home here and you could tell the staff really enough their jobs here. The family dinners were a massive bonus, not enough because you connect and meet other people but because every meal was delicious! Though the location is very rowdy, once you walk into The Common Room, you feel a sense of peace and it really helps that their soundproofing is great. But you also have the convenience of having all the fun at your doorstep, though it never felt like I was on one of Saigon’s biggest part streets. My room was well appointed with strong A/C, wifi (super fast!) and great water pressure. The bed and linens were some of the best I’ve experienced even at 5 star hotels. Truly cannot say enough great things about this place, but glad I found it and will 100% stay here again.

  Staff were lovely - qui, mai, Henry and tu were all very nice, provided advice on things to do and super lenient on our disruptive group. Not that active but a nice chill hostel during our two night stay. Maybe better for older travellers. Bathroom and bedroom lovely as well as other facilities. New bar will be good when opened, kind of needed. 4/5 def recommend to ppl wanting a more relaxed stay in hcmc

  Stayed at The Common Room Project Saigon and it has a completely different vibe—in a good way. It’s more of a social, community-style stay, so if you’re into meeting people and a relaxed atmosphere, this place hits. The design is simple but stylish, and the shared spaces make it easy to hang out or get some work done.Rooms are clean and comfortable for what you pay, and the overall setup feels intentional rather than basic. Staff were friendly and easygoing, which adds to the whole experience.It’s not a luxury stay, but that’s not the point. You come here for the vibe, the people, and a more laid-back, social experience—and it delivers on that. Would definitely recommend if you’re traveling solo or just want something less conventional.

  A boutique hotel masquerading as a hostel. Sophisticated design drips with Bauhaus, Modernist and Deco flourishes, with an unerring eye for detail. The table alone in the common space is a marvel in itself, hewn from a single non-native species. I just sit there to feel good about the world. Even the bedding is sublime, both in the dorms and the Minimalist single rooms. Pure perfection. Well done Aaron
