  Nice small hostel, as all big dorms 10 beds is a lot, but it never got too hot the AC was strong.

  It's not a good place to stay, there is some points you should consider: 1. The wifi is just not unstable, it doesn't work. I have to use my own 4g => you can not work online 2. Mosquitoes are real, even inside the room => you can not sleep well and even can get sick 3. The bed is small, the curtains are less privacy => so uncomfortable 4. no water is included => water is charged by ml 5. There is no table in the bed => can not work, can not study 6. Towel is not included => have a shower without towel 7. Each floor has 10 beds, but there is only one toilet => hard to find place to poop 8. There is no fire protection => easy to die if having fire The good points: 1. Toilet is quite clean 2. Near the center

  I stayed at Joy’s Hostel for a short period (2 nights). From the moment we entered the alley leading to the hostel, it already felt quite cramped. The alley itself is very narrow, and once inside the hostel, that same tight feeling continues throughout the building. The space overall is limited, which might not bother everyone, but it’s definitely noticeable. The room I stayed in had 10 beds. While the room felt crowded, I will say that the beds themselves were actually alright/comfortable enough for a short stay and fine for sleeping after a long day out. However, with that many people in one room, personal space is very limited, and it can feel overwhelming when the hostel is busy. There is one toilet per floor, which works but can sometimes be inconvenient during peak times. One positive aspect is the social environment. It’s easy to meet other travellers here, and there’s always a lively atmosphere. Another plus was the woman at the front desk, who was friendly and welcoming, which made check-in and general interactions pleasant. Location-wise, the hostel is right in the middle of everything. Just outside, the area is packed with shops, including 7/11 and Circle K, as well as a street full of bars and clubs. This is great if you’re looking for nightlife, convenience, and easy access to food and drinks. On the downside, this also means it can be quite noisy, especially at night. Overall, I would say Joy’s Hostel is a solid option if you’re travelling on a very strict budget and don’t mind tight spaces, shared facilities, and noise. You’re paying mainly for the location and affordability. However, if your budget allows you to spend a bit more and you value space, comfort, and a quieter environment, I’d recommend paying extra and staying elsewhere. It really depends on what kind of experience you’re looking for.

  its ok. but I really didnt like that you can look right through and also over the curtains and see all the movements of your bed neighbour. why have curtains at all if they are thin like this? thats why i didnt stay longer and found another hostel. but if you dont care about privacy so much then its actually a good hostel👍🏻 it was clean, and in a central location. the bathroom was good, but just one per room. the lockers also could be constructed safer a bit. If the curtains would be better i could have imagined staying here a longer time

  I stayed at the 3rd floor. Very nice and kind staff. Quiet at night. Location: half a block from bui Vien Walking Street Room: bed has a tiny stand to place things and a 3 hooks to hang stuff. Curtains are not dark, people can see you from outside the bed. Bathroom: outside the room, shower and toilet together. Shampoo and shower gel provided, if you want a towel you must pay 20k and it's not a good one. Locker: below the bed, my 55L backpacking fit. My locker was very loud, each time I open and close it made a lot of noise.

  Central location and quiet considering how loud the walking street is! Rooms small with not much space to go in/out of your belongings. Lock is provided for the locker. Beds and sheets do not appear to be washed between guests. I had left something in my bed and went up to check 10 hours after checking out, and a new guest was in the bed I had stayed in, with my belongings still under the pillow - showing the pillow and the bed sheet both are not changed/washed. Cockroach in the bathroom but otherwise reasonably clean. 20,000 dong to rent a towel. Staff at reception smoking despite being sat next to a ‘no smoking’ sign, the smoke travels all the way to the top floor leaving an unpleasant smell. Would not recommend.

  Very disappointing experience. Joy Hostel was a really bad experience for me. Even though I told them I was very sick having temperature, the owner was not helpful at all. There was an empty room available upstairs, but instead of helping, the owner tried to charge me more money. One of the staff members said it would be 20,000 VND extra, but the owner suddenly increased it to 40,000 VND extra and clearly they were taking advantage of the situation. I only needed the room for about 8 hours and planned to check out at 5 a.m., yet they still insisted I had to pay an extra 40,000 VND or they wouldn’t arrange the room at all. While one staff member tried to help, the owner was completely uncooperative. Shame on this person, he/she is in this business. The rooms smell bad, people snore loudly, the bed quality is very poor, you could see through everything from the curtains and there is almost no proper lighting in the room. The stairs are extremely narrow and uncomfortable. Overall, I felt there was a serious lack of basic hospitality and care toward guests. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!

  We stayed here 2 nights and was probably the GH that we kind of regretted staying at. Don't get me wrong as the staff were friend;y, room clean, breakfast included and a free beer each evening. We left our bags there on the last day and they allowed us to take a shower when we returned to pick them up at 8 pm. What we really did not like was the shared bathroom as it was quite difficult in the morning with so many people. We also had the room over the reception and it was difficult to sleep as people were talking until midnite downstairs.
