  We had a wonderful experience at Taste of Saigon! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the authenticity in every dish. A special shoutout to our waitress, Lily, who made the visit even better. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her warm attitude and excellent service made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend Taste of Saigon—and if you get Lily as your server, you’re in great hands!

  If you want the authentic Vietnamese food. And also at a very affordable price. Then come here. Hidden gem is the best word to describe it. Pass rows of scooters to find it. Tun took great care and was very attentive

  The food has a good variety. Portion is good for groups of 4. Service by Roy was great! Appreciate that she helps us to sort out rice order when we didn’t notice that some mains came with rice 😊 Took us awhile to find the place, but the locals were kind enough to direct us.

  Was a bit too hungry hence didn't take much picture of the food. Had a feast consisting of banh xeo (star of the night), pomfret, bun cha and tofu with salted egg. They also had fresh coconuts, so we had to have that. Darius was very helpful, including showing us how to wrap the banxeo. He was also very attentive and spoke great english, so communication was not an issue at all. The whole experience of walking through an alley way to get to the restaurant was great, booking was seamless and video instruction was very helpful. It was a hole in the wall which delivered more than it promised. Highly recommend, although price was on higher side for HCMC! However it's really about the ambience, experience and to be honest air conditioning. Card was also accepted :)

  Okay, this is the first review I have done where 5 stars is just not enough. This is an incredible achievement in cuisine. If this place is not BG rated yet the Michelin folks have no clue. I mean maybe we got lucky, but we ordered 4 dishes and each one was, not joking, the absolute best version of that plate I have ever tried. Now, I don't live in Vietnam, but I do live in California where there is no shortage of Vietnamese cuisine, so I have tried literally dozens and dozens of restaurants, including fancy/$$$$ places in SF, LA and OC. This place produces what is easily the best Vietnamese cuisine I have ever eaten. The tofu with salted egg was especially perfect. We've tried this dish in many restaurants and this was by far the best execution. We also tried a new dish, a pomelo based chicken salad that was absolutely fantastic, almost taste similar to a ceviche when dressed with the nước chấm. Our server was Darius, he went above and beyond to help and explain the menu and meal. I can not write strong enough words to recommend this, it is an absolute must try spot.

  My mother and I stopped here for authentic Vietnamese food. My meal which was the Pork with broken egg over rice which was absolutely delicious. She had the braised chicken dish which she said was very tasty. Our server Nars was super personable and very accommodating with great recommendations. 5 stars all around!

  I give 4 stars but do not judge me first. Just read it first till the end. Alright, the location is inside the alley which is super Vietnam vibe. Inside is cozy, staffs are English speaking (Darius one of them) table platting is neat and proper. We try the Pho Ga and Fresh grilled chicken spring roll. Both amazing! You can taste the freshness of the soup as well as the spring roll. For drinks, we got hot ginger tea (which i dont drink cos instead of loose leaf or teabag version it was literally ginger slice. No offence. It just too strong for my tummy) then fresh coconut (it fresh but not young coconut, so you know what to expect). Okay, last but not least the reason of 4 stars was the overpriced. Well since its tourist place and indeed more foreigner here rather than local as customers.

  Googled for Bun Cha in HCMC and this restaurant came up. Looked it up through Google review and was impressed with the high ratings so we went to check it out. Ordered the Bun Cha and Vietnamese pancake to share. When the food came, the presentation looked good but the food was far from how it was presented. First, the pancake’s filling - the pork - was tough, tasteless and unappetizing. We had trouble chewing it as it was simply tough. Had to spit out after chewing as it was just non digestible! Second, the Bun Cha - another terrible dish! The roasted pork was again tough and cold when it came. For the price of this dish, it was totally unacceptable! We complained about the food to the server and they apologized and gave us 10% off on the pancake, not our entire bill despite us sharing our opinion. This review serves to warn potential patrons looking to visit this establishment that the reviews may not reflect the true quality of the food presented. Please filter and choose lowest rating first and read what others wrote! I find it very relevant for the low reviews and felt that I should have done my homework before visiting this place! It’s a tourist trap!
