  I’ve been to Hồng Phát three times already, and every single visit has been consistently good. The food quality and service have stayed just as great as the first time, which is honestly something I really appreciate. I’ve brought both Vietnamese friends and foreign friends here, and everyone ended up loving the place. The prices are slightly on the higher side compared to some local spots, but honestly, it’s worth it 😌 The menu is super diverse with plenty of options — noodle soups, dry noodles, hủ tiếu, wontons, fried rice, dim sum, and more. The drink menu is also surprisingly varied with juices, tea, coffee, and even coconut ice cream drinks. My group usually goes with a lot of people, so we’ve basically tried almost everything on the menu already 🤣 Here are the dishes we personally recommend the most: Favorite food: • Wonton noodles & wonton soup • Seafood fried rice • Fresh spring rolls • Steamed buns Favorite drinks: • Coconut coffee ice cream: very unique. It tastes more like coffee ice cream than coconut, but the young coconut meat inside makes it extra creamy and satisfying. The coffee aroma is also really nice. • Salted plum apricot drink: really refreshing and tasty, though personally I’d love it even more if it were slightly more sour. The restaurant itself is spacious, airy, and very comfortable for large groups. I think even a group of 50 people would still feel pretty comfortable here. One thing I really liked is that you can actually see part of the kitchen area from outside, and everything looks extremely clean, organized, and carefully prepared. The decor is also very charming. Around the restaurant, they display traditional Vietnamese cooking tools like old pots, pans, kitchen shelves, and utensils. The design feels traditional but still modern at the same time. I especially liked the creative details — glass bowls turned into ceiling lamps, decorative plates placed around the restaurant’s sign, and neatly arranged vegetables and ingredients displayed around the space. Everything feels thoughtful, tidy, and aesthetically pleasing without trying too hard. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive as well. They really take care of customers carefully and always make the dining experience feel warm and welcoming. One of my favorite things here is actually the pickled vegetables and dipping sauce setup 🤣 Every time we come, we mix fish sauce, vinegar, garlic, and chili together to make our own dipping sauce, and somehow it works perfectly with almost every dish on the table. Overall, truly a 10/10 place for me ☺️ Definitely somewhere I’ll keep coming back to and recommending to other people.

  Great atmosphere, great food, and great service! I had the Hủ Tiếu Năm Vang(dry version) and it was very flavorful! Noodles were chewy and other toppings were awesome! Definitive recommend if you haven't tried it. The price matches the food considering this place has the Michelin recognition on it for the past 3 years. Great decor and interior design that exudes a clean, fun, and slightly upscaled vibes to it. PSA: The servers will ask you to give them a rating of your choice to get a free hot/cold tea or frozen yogurt.

  Conveniently located near our hotel. It's a well-known spot and even recognized as a Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded restaurant, so l was excited to try it. The food definitely lived up to its reputation-flavorful, satisfying, and clearly made with care. You can tell why it's earned such recognition. The place has a casual and authentic vibe, which adds to the overall experience. If you're staying nearby or looking to try a Michelin-recognized local restaurant, it's definitely worth a visit.

  We were so excited to try Hong Phat (Ben Thanh location) while visiting Ho Chi Minh City, since the Vancouver and Richmond spots in Canada are our favourites. Happy to say it did not disappoint. The food quality and consistency were just as good as back home, which says a lot. What made it even more fun were the dishes you can only get in Vietnam, like the bánh bao and the Cambodian beef skewers. Both were very good and worth trying. They’re also recognized by the Michelin Guide, and the staff there speaks English. It is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Ho Chi Minh City.

  SO good! Clean and comfortable atmosphere. The food was delicious and quick. We will definitely be coming back. If you have a shrimp allergy, you won’t be able to eat the Hu tieu as it’s cooked in broth with shrimp as well. We didn’t have a problem but just so you know. Very friendly employees!

  The food is amazing and great portions. Very flavorful and the drinks …. Wow …. A real drink with alcohol and unique. Would definitely come back.

  I visited this restaurant hoping for a great meal, but it turned out to be pretty average. The food was just so-so and lacked any real standout flavor. Nothing about the dishes felt unique or special enough to warrant a return visit. It is a passable option if you just need a quick bite, but do not expect to be blown away.

  This pains me to write because their other locations are spot on with all 3 categories, but this location is beyond disappointing, especially the service. Staff were all huddled together at the front on their phones and taking photos instead of being aware of their customers that haven’t even ordered yet. This made the environment plain and the atmosphere incredibly cold, seeing as we were the only table (perhaps one more, but view was restricted). I had to initiate acknowledgement with a loud bellow of “hello” before staff actually woke up. The drinks arrived and were fresh and delicious. The duck noodles were superb. The pate pastry was a little oily, but had flavour. And the bao bun was average, but tasty. Really hoping this was just a one off as I really enjoy the brand, but from what I gather from some other reviews, it might not just be me.
