  I’m honestly struggling to find the words for how incredible this experience was. A friend recommended Noir, so we knew it would be special, but it still completely exceeded our expectations. We had a reservation for two on a Tuesday at 6:30 PM and were warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. We were served complimentary welcome cocktails (nonalcoholic options available), played a fun sensory game to prepare us for the darkness, and were then guided upstairs by Mr. Hii, who was absolutely delightful and made the entire evening feel comfortable and exciting. Dining in complete darkness is unlike anything we’ve ever experienced. The food was exceptional—beautifully prepared, high quality, and served at a perfect pace. Trying to identify each dish using only taste, smell, and texture turned dinner into an adventure, and we were genuinely shocked and amused when the menu was revealed at the end. Noir is far more than a meal; it’s an immersive experience that changes the way you think about food and your senses. It was unforgettable, and it will be one of the first places we return to on our next visit to Ho Chi Minh City. I’m genuinely surprised it hasn’t earned Michelin recognition alongside many of the city’s other acclaimed restaurants—it absolutely deserves to be on that list.

  What an amazing concept and beautifully enacted. The introduction, ambiance, staff, meal... all top quality, well thought out and executed. The darkness was very intense for me, but they were very attentive and walked me outside halfway through my meal to have a break. The food was delicious... no idea what it looked like 🤷‍♀️ I managed to leave without wearing any of my meal... and hubby only wore a dash. Totally awakened the other senses, spatial awareness and eating through one's fingertips. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  If I have to describe the dining experience at Noir, it'd probably be "Omakase but blindfolded" (you won't actually be blindfolded btw). Not being able to see what you're eating really was a bewildering (maybe even disorienting for some) experience, but an interesting one nonetheless since you'll have to rely on your other senses to guess what you're eating is (and sometimes they can lie to you as we were surprised to see how many dishes we thought were one thing that turned out to be another). Props for the amazing waiters and waitresses who guided us through the dark room and managed to bring us our food effortlessly all the while being very attentive, and a shout-out for the guide in the beginning as well for helping to prepare us for this experience 👏

  Brilliant and exactly what you expect. You arrive, get your briefing and choose your menu. Then you go into an extremely dark room, so dark that there is no difference between eyes opened or closed. We ate 14 dishes in 4 courses. Our waitress was absolutely brilliant, funny and so good at explaining everything from the location of your drink to her every move at the table. At first we were all a bit uncomfortable and scared, but by the end we were so comfortable and sad it was over! Seeing the menu items at the end also blew our mind. A brilliant experience from start to finish. You should definitely give it a try. We eat with our eyes first, so taking this sense away really changed the whole experience!

  Unforgettable dining experience in a complete darkness. We learn to rely more on the other four senses and the same time enjoying delicious meals that have been prepared for us. Grateful for the blessings to be able to see things with our eyes. Appreciate and understand those attentive, friendly servers. who are without eye sights. Yet these servers navigate and move swiftly and smoothly attending our dining experience. They are truly the stars of the experience. Obviously no phones, no electronics inside the restaurants so no pictures. Be prepared to learn, to appreciate, and to enjoy.

  I don't think I've ever had such a surreal experience with food before dining at Noir. We opted for the 11 course vegetarian meal. The quality and taste of every dish was exquisite. We really enjoyed guessing what we were eating and (later on) learning how wrong we were about most of them ;). The staff and servers were also incredibly warm and friendly. The price definitely justifies the experience, do not miss this!

  This place is an absolute must. Having seen the concept popularised by British RomCom “About Time,” when we heard about a dark dining experience in HCMC we had to go. The experience begins in the bar, where you are given a mystery cocktail and play a fun game to get into the spirit of the evening. All the staff in the dining area are blind or visually impaired, and our waitress, Hoang, was incredible friendly and attentive. She lead us through 11 dishes bursting with flavour and texture. There were some familiar western tastes and some slightly harder to guess new flavours. The wine pairings were confident and well made. Afterwards, you get to see pictures of the menu and guess why each dish was comprised of. From start to finish, this was an unforgettable dining experience well worth the very reasonable price tag.

  My girlfriend and I dined at Noir: Dining in the Dark on 05Dec2025 as part of a package with the AO Show by Lune Production (highly recommend both - do reserve ahead). I booked online a day before and received confirmation within a few hours. This was one of the most unique dining experiences I’ve had. The 11-course meal was a delight overall, with a few standout dishes and others that were simpler but still pleasant. The space is stylish and inviting, easing you in before the main event. After a welcome drink and a short blindfolded activity to awaken your senses, the real journey begins - being guided in total darkness to your table. That moment was the most eye-opening. Our server, Phu, confidently led us through every nook and cranny with such calm precision. In complete darkness, she knew the space better than anyone else. It was humbling, and it made me reflect on how much we rely on sight. The first few minutes felt disorienting (I even got a little dizzy), but once I surrendered to the darkness, the experience became immersive and meaningful. My advice: relax, don’t worry about spilling anything, trust your guide, and fully give yourself to the moment. Good luck… to an experience that quietly reminds you that what is essential is invisible to the eye.
