  We used Maika Tours twice on our recent holiday, and I have no doubts about recommending them. The first was a personalised tour of Van Phuc silk village and Hanoi 5 Gates train. The package that the proprietor put together for us was very professional and easy to book. Our guide, Hoan was knowledgeable with many years as a professional tour guide. We had a fantastic day. Our second experience with Maika Tours was their Long Tan, Nui Dat and Vung Tau tour. Again booking direct with Maika Tours was simple and straightforward. This tour is a must for Australians visiting Vietnam, the guide Huong has spent the last 28 years giving tours of this area and explains the history of the area from both the Australian and Vietnamese side beautifully.

  I contacted Maika travel company for a Dinner Cruise experience on Saigon river. Maika did a great job for finding a good boat and good food for us. People here are knowledgeable and friendly. They know what you need and what is worth your money and time. Not to mention, it’s a great deal price when you book with Maika Tours. Thank you so much! See you soon Maika!

  Harry and Mr Minh gave us the best day we could have asked for. The tour was absolutely brilliant very personal, in-depth, and thoughtfully done. It was adapted to fit our schedule including everything we wanted to see the most. We’ve taken many tours around the world, and this was easily the best by far. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience!!!

  During the Christmas break, my family and I visited Vietnam and used the services of Maika Tours for two excursions. One was to the Ba Na Hills from Hoi An and the other was to the Cu Chi Tunnels from HCMC. Both were private tours with our own van, driver, and tour guide. Our guides were excellent. Their English was really good - we could joke around - and they were excellent at explaining what we saw and interpreting Vietnamese history and culture for us. When I’m in Vietnam again and looking for a guide, I’ll be booking with Maika Tours!

  Spectacular 🫶 Absolute must do Mar 2026 • We thoroughly enjoyed our day tour with Chris and his driver Tuan! Our experience was very informative and sentimental visiting sites for our Aussie diggers the special little touches stopping In places our tours don’t take guests! Lunch at a fantastic seafood restaurant on the beachfront was delicious not to mention romantic. Chris really made us feel welcomed, special and willing to answer any questions we asked! 10 out of 10 tour if your an Aussie or Kiwi

  Solo Vietnam War history tour Whilst born during the conflict I've long had an interest in Australian involvement. As a result I chose to visit Vung Tau and chose this tour with Giang and Mrs Huong. It was probably the best tour I've been on. There was far more to the tour than I expected and Mrs Huong took me to several other places of interest. Her knowledge and Aussie knowledge and accent was a revelation! Over 20yrs experience including holding services, maintaining sites, her contacts, intimate knowledge and even hosting fmr PM Howard underscore what an impressive day this turned out to be. Those familiar with the Battle of Long Tan will know where to go and what to see however Mrs Huong adds so much much including some additional visits. If you have any interest in a tour please select this. Her engaging personality stood out from introduction to farewell in HCMC. Seriously, a 20/10 experience!

  Nam our guide had very good knowledge of the Australian Troop locations and was able to relate various stories to add to the experience. He was able to answer the questions put to him plus had photos that related to the areas we went. Highly recommend this tour

  This Maika private trip was incredible and unexpected. Communicating with our guides was English. He is very friendly, very good as an ambassador for us. During the holidays, we laughed a lot. Private is the best way to enjoy the reality of Vietnam! That was beyond expectation. you may need to spend more so that you don't have to wait and get into the crowd. But it is worth it!
