  Loved our meal. We sat up on the second floor, nice view of the River. We both enjoyed the beef soup and spring roll, with a ginger tea. Friendly owners. All excellent, I’d happily go back.

  Amazing cafe with a beautiful view of the ancient city of Hue. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy the scenery, and have a good meal. You definitely have to try the local soup here, it’s very flavorful and authentic. The banana pancake was also really good and made for a nice sweet treat. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and the view. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Hue.

  I had the starter to share for two and it was plenty of food and very tasty. Really loved the crispy pancake. Great location looking over the moat and imperial city walls. Great service and a serve whose English was great.

  I love this café. Before we visited Vietnam, this café was already part of my itinerary if we ever visit Huế. I'm glad we came here after touring the citadel. Now I'm back in Ph and I miss their cà phê muối.

  Update 11th May - they now do amazing, delicious fluffy/souffle pancakes with a variety of toppings and add ons. This is the only place in Hue to get these super delicious fluffy pancakes. See attached photo. Update 7th May - I tried their new waffles with maple syrup and vanilla ice cream. Delicious! Looking forward to trying their new fluffy/souffle pancakes soon. This is one of the best eateries in Hue! Two, young, friendly, entrepreneurial sisters own and run this place. Complimentary/free iced tea available upon arrival, to cool you down, while you check out their menu. With an extensive menu, awesome views of one of the ancient citadel gates and alongside one of the moats, this is the perfect place to start your day before exploring the citadel or afterwards. Air conditioned up stairs or pedestal fans for al fresco dining. I'm a regular at this establishment. Great location, food and service. All the food is made on the premises to old family recipes handed down over generations. The hand rolled, fried spring rolls are so very delicious, you'll want to order another serving. The coffee is twice the size of nearby cafes and twice as good! Not to be missed! Will I return? Yes!

  Great spot to grab a bite after a visit to the citadel. Passion fruit soda, mango smoothie was perfect. We had the set meal for two with the Hue specialities. Really enjoyed it. Great location too. And good value.

  N. Café & Restaurant is an average spot — not bad, but definitely not great either. It’s the kind of place where everything feels “fine,” but nothing really stands out. The terrace setup is pleasant enough, located near the old city wall and by the river, though in reality, you’re mostly looking at a wall rather than any real view. Still, it’s a calm place to sit and have a meal if you’re nearby. We ordered several dishes to get a good idea of the menu. The fried spring rolls were acceptable — crispy and decent, though quite standard in flavor. The meat skewers were probably the best dish: well-grilled, nicely seasoned, and genuinely tasty. The bánh mì, on the other hand, was very average. The bread was okay, but the filling lacked flavor and didn’t have the freshness or punch that you expect from a good Vietnamese sandwich. The Vietnamese omelet was filled only with vegetables. It was simple and mild in flavor — not bad, just unremarkable. Everything was edible and decently cooked, but overall the meal felt monotonous and uninspired. A big reason for that was the sauce situation. Every single dish came with the exact same dipping sauce — a kind of sweet-and-sour sauce with a spicy kick. It wasn’t terrible, but after a few bites, it became repetitive and tiresome. There were no peanut sauces or any variety of condiments offered, which made the entire meal feel quite poor and one-dimensional in terms of flavor. A little diversity in sauces would have made a big difference. To drink, I had a mango smoothie, which was actually delicious — fresh, naturally sweet, and creamy. It was refreshing and easily the highlight of the whole experience. The service was fast and friendly. The staff spoke good English, which made communication easy, and everything came out quickly. They were polite and attentive, which definitely improved the overall impression. The bathroom, however, was a different story. It was in bad condition — not clean, poorly maintained, and definitely not a place where you’d want to spend much time. Honestly, that part really took away from the otherwise acceptable experience. Prices were reasonable, not particularly cheap but fair for what you get. The portions were fine, and given how fast the food came out, it’s a convenient option if you just need a quick meal. Overall, N. Café & Restaurant is okay for a casual stop, but not somewhere I’d go out of my way to visit again. The food is average, the sauce situation is disappointing, and the bathroom really needs attention. The meat skewers and mango smoothie were the highlights, and the service was genuinely good, but the rest of the experience was flat.

  It’s an okay spot if you’re nearby and just want something quick, but nothing to go out of your way for. The fried rice was ok and the banh mi was fine and the bread was good, just not particularly memorable. Everything tasted fresh enough, but the flavors felt a bit toned down. The place seems to cater mostly to Western tourists, which probably explains why the food felt a little safe and less authentic. Service was alright and the atmosphere was comfortable, just nothing that really stood out. Overall, not bad, not great but just average.
