  Stumbled upon this coffee shop while looking for lunch after visiting the Imperial City. We had just gotten coffee at another place that was not exactly what I had ordered. That one was salty with yogurt on top so we ended up at Tan where our coffees (ca phe phin sua da) were very good.

  I visited Tan Cafe in Hue and I was very impressed. The design of the cafe is unique and a little vintage, which makes the place feel special and relaxing. I ordered salt coffee and corn coffee. Both drinks were very tasty and enjoyable. I really liked the flavors. The cafe has a large space, so it is suitable for small groups or friends to hang out together. There is also a small garden at the back with many green plants. It looks very fresh and is perfect for hot summer days in Hue. In addition, the shop sells some souvenirs like clothes, bags, and coffee filters. The prices are reasonable and cute. I bought a denim tote bag, and it is very durable and has a nice design. Overall, it is a lovely cafe with good drinks, nice space, and friendly atmosphere. I would love to come back again.

  This café has a beautiful industrial design with great attention to detail — very aesthetic and perfect for photos. The drinks are delicious, and they even have my favorite dessert, canelé. Loved it!

  A great café to visit when you’re in Hue! From the moment you walk in, Tan gives you such a warm and genuine welcome that instantly makes you feel at home. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, setting the perfect mood for a relaxed and cozy experience. The café has a lovely vintage vibe, with charming décor and thoughtful details that make the space feel both nostalgic and comfortable. There are plenty of nice corners where you can sit and work, read a book, or simply chat with friends over a good cup of coffee. It’s the kind of place where time seems to slow down — ideal for both productivity and relaxation. The coffee here is excellent, and you can really tell that care and passion go into each cup. Combined with the friendly service and peaceful atmosphere, it’s definitely one of those spots you’ll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hue and looking for a café with character, warmth, and great coffee.

  Our friend recommended this spot, and it’s conveniently just a five-minute walk from the Imperial City—perfect on a scorching hot day. I’d been wanting to try egg coffee again after my experience in Hanoi, so this felt like the right place. The interior is really charming and unique, almost like stepping into a cozy room rather than a café. You place your order as soon as you walk in. We ordered the egg coffee, a golden lava croissant, and a canele, all for about 115,000 VND (roughly $4.5 USD), which is a great deal. Service was fast, and they even provide a bottle of water. The vibe is very relaxed with American music playing, plenty of fans, and a laid-back atmosphere. Even the bathroom was interesting—it’s tucked away in the back, and walking to it feels almost like heading into a spa. The food and coffee were both good. One thing to note: they only accept cash, no electronic payments. Hopefully that changes in the future, but overall, it’s a lovely stop and worth a visit.

  The coffee and snacks are excellent, and the location is absolutely beautiful. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. It’s one of my favorite places to stop by, relax, and read a book. Also a great spot to catch up with friends.

  Great location, good decoration and good vibe coffee shop. But disappointing staff, lack of communication, with no apologies after their problems. Disappointing Americano (the staff asked us to order the new drink instead of fixing it or switching it into another drink). When they the staff felt our irritating, they changed another Americano (without extra fee) and it really worked. You should pay attention to any kind of beverages you do. The customers can feel it clearly even in the simplest drink as Americano. Don't want to come back, thank you for the experience! 🙏🏻

  Feels more of an instagram spot than a cafe. Very trendy and seems like people come for the ”vibes” and photos more than the coffee. If that is your scene then you’ll probably enjoy this place. Coffee is decent but overpriced. Staff is friendly and service is good. If you are looking for a quiet cozy cafe this is not likely for you as you might end up on some influencers feed.
