  It was my first trip to Hue and it’s such a lovely city to be in. During my travels in Hue, I stayed in Azerai La Residence. It has a nice location overlooking Perfume River and it is convenient to walk along the river where I enjoy seeing the locals doing their local things, and relaxing by the river in the evening. The hotel is located in a heritage building and the setting felt like it teleported me back to the old days. I stayed in a Deluxe Room, comfortable and spacious and I adore the turndown service where they leave a short poem with some local snacks. Hue has one of the nicest food in Vietnam and in the hotel restaurant during breakfast, you get a taste of the local flavours and this is something I fancy. They also serve the famous salted coffee during breakfast - very interesting and I heard that Hue is where it originated from, so I had to try and my verdict; love it! I also had a try at their spa because the spa looks so inviting! I did the 60 minutes Vietnamese massage after dinner. They have nice facilities within the spa, very relaxing! I would like to commend the front office team for being so warm-hearted and sincere, especially Hao who is a funny character and he cracked me up with his jokes. He’s very helpful and gave me recommendations for tailoring and shoe-making! And last but not least, I want to commend the driver Khoa, whom the hotel arranged for me from Hue to Hoi An. He’s an excellent driver who has good knowledge of Hue and speaks very good English which he picked up from interacting with guests! I would love to be back here and for anyone considering a good hotel to stay in Hue, I recommend Azerai La Residence.

  We booked our stay based on the recommendation of locals & our wedding photographer - & it did not disappoint! It’s a beautiful, easily accessible setting in a beautiful historic city! The sunrise view from the river is beautiful and the ornate architecture is incredible. The pre-wedding photos we took on the grounds turned out so well. Most importantly, the staff truly are the sweetest we encountered during our recent trip to Vietnam. In particular, Ms Moon from the concierge team has my heart! She was incredibly helpful & engaging throughout our stay - going above and beyond to make it the most enjoyable and seamless experience for us ♥️ She assisted in the coordination of the delivery of my misplaced sunglasses to my next destination city, & even personally called & checked on luggage storage rates & genuine pearl retailers for me to visit in my other destinations. Even after we had checked out of Azerai, she continued to follow up on the above, just to make sure everything was resolved. Her kindness, generosity & attentive service made our stay in Azerai, Hue a truly memorable one. (if you’re reading this Miss Moon, thank you & I look forward to seeing you again) We’ll definitely be back to stay in such a lovely establishment. Highly recommended, if just for the service alone. xx

  One of the best value luxury hotels I have stayed at in Vietnam. The property is a beautifully restored 1930s Art Deco building, and the details are lovely throughout: the curved facade lit up at night, the stained glass, the original ironwork and lighting. It feels properly ultra-luxe but at a far gentler price than the setting suggests. I stayed during a quieter period, so service was attentive and unhurried. The restaurant deserves a special mention. The food was excellent and very good value, probably one of the best dining experiences in Hue, and worth a visit even if you are not staying here. It is also a great base for exploring the royal tombs and the city’s history, and the staff happily helped arrange tours. A few things to note. The gym was very hot and the air conditioning did not seem to be working properly, and the corridors in the outer wing leading to it were the same. Management should look into this. The riverside view is also partly obscured by an events venue next door, which is a problem in itself: on two of the nights there was fairly loud music until about 10pm. It did not really disrupt sleep, since nobody is sleeping before then, and it is probably not something the hotel can fix, but it is worth being aware of if you are booking. Beautiful interiors, real history, attentive service, and a great location. Highly recommended.

  Our stay at Azerai was great. A true 5-star hotel. The service was thoughtful and really helpful. All the employees were extremely nice and great. The spa was beautiful. The breakfast gives you an opportunity to try local dishes like banh bot loc, banh beo, bun bo. The pool is huge and deep. De, who gave us a brief tour of the original residence, was hilarious and made our stay memorable with his tour! Would absolutely stay here again if we come back to Hue!

  I recently had the pleasure of staying at Azerai La Residence in Hue, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly receptionist and the attentive staff, who made us feel right at home. Their helpfulness set a pleasant tone for our stay. The hotel is situated just outside the bustling town center, providing a serene oasis while still being within walking distance of local attractions along the river. It is the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. The peaceful atmosphere is further enhanced by the stunning views from our spacious room, which featured a lovely balcony overlooking the lush garden, inviting pool, and the serene river. Speaking of the pool, it was a delightful size, with warm water that made it perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration. The hotel's complimentary offerings of cakes, tea, coffee, and juice throughout the day created a welcoming environment for guests to unwind and socialise. Breakfast was another highlight, with a great selection that catered to various tastes and preferences. Each morning began with a scrumptious meal that fueled us for our adventures. Additionally, the receptionist provided us with excellent recommendations for dining options beyond the hotel restaurant, allowing us to experience the local cuisine. In summary, Azerai La Residence is a beautiful hotel that combines excellent service, spacious accommodations, and a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hue, it's truly a lovely and warm place to stay!

  This is an art deco gem that has been perfectly restored and updated and staffed with attentive and happy people. The hotel has beautiful grounds on the Perfume River and is an easy walk through the riverside park and across the river to the lovely and peaceful Imperial City.||We arranged the stay and private transfer directly with the hotel which was easy to do. Our driver met us at the Danang Airport and drove us to Hue through the beautiful scenery. We had a Colonial Suite: Voyage en Chine which was huge and stunning. It was perfectly appointed in art deco style with period furniture and details and had a vast curved terrace looking over the grounds, pool, and river toward the Imperial City. The stay included an excellent breakfast and minibar drinks and snacks, along with snacks set out in the room.||All staff at the hotel were very helpful and pleasure to speak with. We enjoyed the beautiful, period perfect bar and tasty cocktails as well as a delicious dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. ||We felt that the hotel was an excellent value and our only regret was that we could not stay longer than one night. We would love to return to Hue and, were we to do so, we would definitely stay here again!

  Historically important, previous Government Mansion directly across Perfume River from the Imperial City and in sight of the 7 Buddhist Lotus flowers. The hotel and grounds were spacious, restful and tastefully decorated. Every need and wish was met by friendly and gracious staff. The large, salt water swim pool gave us pleasure both early and late in the day. We appreciated the English language ability of all staff members. We highly recommend this pleasurable stay.

  When we first arrived, everything felt slow and quiet compared to other modern hotels. But the longer we stayed, the more we appreciated the experience. On our last day, I didn’t want to go anywhere—I just wanted to sit in my room and look out at the garden and river. It turned out to be one of the best experiences we’ve ever had.Moreover, the staff—from the front desk to the restaurant, room service, and management—were professional, kind, and helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Hoa at the front desk and Ms. Tam, one of the managers. They were professional, attentive listeners, and quickly resolved a small issue I had at the pool.
